I don’t go out to show how much we kill but rather the story behind each hunt. There’s more meaning to it when it’s done that way (in my opinion) and two, taking all the fish out and putting them back at the end of the day can be challenging lol!

Awesome video. I'm a scuba spearfisher trying to convey to the freediving side. How much weight vs size wet suit do you typically use? How much weight if using skinsuit?
Chad Cook this could vary depending on the depth I’m diving. I have a 3.5mm wet suit and I typically try to weight myself to be neutral at 30’. However, if I’m doing particularly deep dives (for my capabilities) lets say 80’ range then I’ll drop weight so that I’m more buoyant. I never dive with weight using a skin suit. Weight settings will vary person to person. Obvious things that influence choosing weight is thickness of your suit and age (older, regularly used suits tend to be less buoyant). You also need to consider different companies may also design suits differently, therefore having different buoyancy. I recommend first knowing what depth you’ll be targeting, then put your suit on and play with the weight that works best for you... and just so you know it’s better/safer to error on the lighter side. Hope this helps.
