This was a great video. I stopped fishing for years after a move from northern Michigan to southeast Michigan. I missed the lakes up North and never gave a second thought to the water all around me in my new location. I retired about 6 months ago and saw fish in a creek on nature on a nature walk with my son and grandson. That lit the fire, and now I fish anywhere there's water and a place to park. Your content had a hand in that, and I thank you.
This video should've had the original intro you still occasionally use. This one is so true to the simple basics you began the channel with, years back! Fun fishin'!
Just discovered your channel today and have enjoyed it so much (love the scriptures). So neat that you and Blake got to fish together. He’s from our neck of the woods. God bless! Came back to add: thank you for posting this 2 hr compilation. I know it may be a rehash for other people but for new viewers like me it has been a nice way to spend a sick day on the couch when I can’t go out myself.
You showed me 2 fish that I’ve not seen in 50yrs. I had never seen or heard of a redfin pickerel until I caught one in the late 60’s. I had to look it up in a fish book at the library. Really cool little fish! I used to catch black and yellow bullheads on the Potomac. That one you caught was a dandy!👍
Hey brother love your videos and the Bible inserts. Im from a little town in central Oregon. Basically the desert with lots of lakes that hold massive trout. My biggest German Brown is 12 lbs and rainbow just over 8lbs.
The fact you catch so much kussa bass in tn when they are native to one stream in ga is crazy to me I’ve been hunting one and that stream is rather close to me
fun time. :) I did this in Denver years ago... used google maps and drove around till I could find access points to the interconnected little waterways and creeks...
Sikeston,Mo and the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, not far from there are some of the greatest areas for Smallies or any other varieties of fish. I'm a born and raised Missourian and still reside. The best places are definatly in SE SC, & SW Mo. for Smallies and of course all the spring fed Rivers that are absolutely beautiful thanks to God. I've been a faithful viewer and subscriber for a few years now and I enjoy watching your channel. Keep up the good work and God Bless @creekfisingadventures.
Great video! Glad to see you fishing the small creeks again. And I'm really glad you put the short clips where you didn't catch fish. It could be discouraging to somebody not catching fish when they're trying what you're doing. He "always catches fish," I must be doing something wrong - I think I'll hang it up. Some places have 'em, so don't. Thanks for showing what it's really like :-)
If you don’t mind me asking , what state are u located in ? I would love to do a fishing video with you , I’ve been watching your channel for a minute now 🙏🏽🙏🏽💪🏽
Loved " the old pond place " when I was there, and I met some of the "sketchy urban" folks fishing there! Made for a fun trip! Plus, there is a very nice coffee shop in that old building!! :-) ... So I take it you are officially 'ditching' fishing? :-)
From the markings on that snakes belly it definitely looked like a cotton mouth and the fact it was dark brown and really big around also fits the description of a cotton mouth .
You said alot of the creek runs underground. That first bass you caught immediately upon seeing his eyes I noticed how much bigger they are in proportion to his body and to other bass. This may be an adaptation these fish have developed. It's often seen in cave dwelling aquatic creatures and helps feeding in low light. Very interesting!!
We had a storm drain creek not too far from my house in the middle of town when I was a kid. We were constantly out there catching bluegill and sun perch. We would also catch what we knew as rock bass. Good times.
Hey john love the video's I've heard to talk about fishtank with bluegills. I put mine in backyard small pond had them out there for years my bass got to 6lbs bluegill got huge
I just finished watching the video behind Hamilton Place in Chattanooga. I've been wanting to hit those creeks but I don''t have a Tn license. I DEFINITELY need to get one now.
i grew up in a small village in logan county ohio. the creek i fished almost daily as a kid had water deep enough we would jump off the bridge and swim sometimes. but back to the point, that little no name creek brought smallmouth. rock bass. carp. catfish. bluegills. it was an amazing experience growing up. unfortunately as an adult when i went back to check it out i had found out they did alot of excavating and my old creek was now maybe a couple inches deep. completely ruined.
That was a frog snake I believe. Watching those 6 foot snakes chase a frog through the woods is the wildest thing I've ever seen. They stand straight up when they chase stuff and don't even notice you standing there.
Enjoy watching your videos. It's so sad to see all the trash in the water and on the land as you walked up to the creek. Apparently tickets aren't being written for littering anymore. Need to start writing juicy fines for lazy inconsiderate people that can't put trash in a bag and take it with them to their car.

may join you; also retired; live in Kentucky; these videos have stirred my interest in small stream fishing

What kind of line is that? When you were fishing the pond?
I live in that area and never thought to fish that area First time I saw your show was when you fished the Collinsville Lake
Oh wow! I grew up in Cleveland. Never new there were fish in that creek

You make it look easy man I’m in coastal Texas and want to get into freshwater but sadly there’s no good rivers or creeks by where I live
We had a storm drain creek not too far from my house in the middle of town when I was a kid. We were constantly out there catching bluegill and sun perch. We would also catch what we knew as rock bass. Good times.
You make ditch fishing look so fun
Hey john love the video's I've heard to talk about fishtank with bluegills. I put mine in backyard small pond had them out there for years my bass got to 6lbs bluegill got huge
Sometimes a simple glimpse leads to a catch to be remembered....
Love this type of content!
I just finished watching the video behind Hamilton Place in Chattanooga. I've been wanting to hit those creeks but I don''t have a Tn license. I DEFINITELY need to get one now.
Take a shot every time my guy says Kussa Bass! I'm playing alone. I'm wasted...
I remember watching this video about a year ago.😂

That's a really cool little spot!
Adventure n the chase, excuse me. Beers n fishing videos ya know
You should organize a community creek cleanup.
Looks like some sort of old canal. You have fished that pond many times over the years. Did you say it is an old power plant?
I saw a segment of your two hour special. We were fishing in Oklahoma along the highway catching Croppie I live in Tulsa. What was that location?
I learned along time ago there is fish in place you wouldn’t think

What kind of fishing line are you using at 15:54- 16:34? That line looks almost invisible
Isn’t this a reuploar?
Funny how they don’t seem to mind all that trash! LOL
