I love how Atmosphere is talking about himself in this song and doesn't make him seem arrogant like how any other rapper would sound doing this. Very humble lyrics from a humble man.
IMO Atmosphere is one of the realest artists/ groups out there and it’s awesome how the group portray’s reality in a different picture than most rap and hip-hop artists.
what i love about Atmosphere is they dont do it for the money or the fame or the the things that come with the name...they do it because they love to do it, thats the mark of a true artist...

I used to jam this tune back in 2011, getting ready to graduate college with no fucking idea what I was going to...all I knew was that I loved music. Almost three years later and I still have no idea what I'm doing, but music is still just as great, and this song still speaks to me.

Damn this song connects so close to the heart of my own journey, he talks about trying to be his hero's then finally putting that aside and finding himself he stopped trying to be other people and figured out who he was.
I've been out of college for 5 years now. I graduated with an art degree after 6 years of college while trying to figure out what I should go for . I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do after either. So, I went to work for myself making art . Can't lie its been hard at times but compared to everyone else I know that's working at a desk or selling insurance, it's pretty damn great. This song hits home big time.
Same here. I went to school for art. but realized that I was going to college just to sit in a room and draw. I could do that here at home. so I called it quits, college didn't teach me anything as far as art goes.
but after starting my own business making art, I can honestly say I'm happy. I'm doing what I love to and I make good money doing it. what more could I ask for?

All our friends have health insurance that is paid for that benefits retirement and we have to find our own means for those things later on whether it be through property investment or who knows what. But like he says its like that yall its like this yall I don't have to call in sick y'all.
+CruzCaribou it is hard. but it's all about the hustle. besides, i don't know many friends who are happy with their desk job. they're bitter and go to work everyday mad at the world and their boss. but that's one thing I'm proud of about being an artist. it isn't work. it's shat we love to do, and the money is just a bonus.
hopefully I can one day start my own line of t shirts. and then after that, tattooing.
but like i said before, it's all about the hustle. we really don't know how to take a vacation.

I'm from MN but I can't say they I've followed Atmosphere all my life. This still has more to it than most music, even if it isn't the same old group. Take another listen but this time, just sit back and chill.
Slug ,in my opinion, is the best rapper! (next to Tupac), i really love this song and makes me wonder what i want to do with my life. It makes me smile how he always makes rhymes that have truth (for example how some people live or go through), i just wish i could shake his hand and thank him for the music he made that got me through or IS bringing me through tough times

Humility is a life saver...keeps us humble...but damn I can't figure out why Slug seems to have so much humility...I'm one of thousands who got thru the hardest points of my life(so far) by listening to his music. I break down the lyrics and relate then decide what to do next. Its musical therapy for real & a beautiful way to give back to the world while it helps him as well. No other artist has ever impacted me more than Slug. I love Dem Atlas too. Perfect for Rhymesayers!

I know how you feel! I've only met less than 10 people that have heard of Atmosphere and think to myself "You're missing out on something Legendary and Unique". People have lost the ability to appreciate amazing music and they think that the music they listen to on the radio is music. Heck they even considered some of those songs Hip-Hop. But One Day Atmosphere and ALL the RhymeSayers will be known throughout the globe! And even then some still won't appreciate the greatness!

I'm a big fan of American gangster hip hop and my mate recommended these. Usually a bit skeptic when it comes to other types of rap but I can honestly say this song is quality.
