    Hi, Thanks its a great learning session , I have installed the kube-prometheus and everything is running fine, now I am adding an alert using jsonnet, it could be any alert ,Can you please guide me step by step. sorry iam new here. thanks alot in advance

    why putting hostname as a label for pods is a bad practice?

      Because the hostname is by default = `metadata.name` attribute of the pod, so you're creating a new set with each pod name, if you include it to your set of dimensions. You would rather want to track something more generic, like the application itself.
