That's what people don't understand about Johnson and people like him. They are raised from a young age to believe that they are simply better and more valuable than the vast majority of people. They believe it to their core.
They believe they have a right to rule over everything. They fundamentally don't believe in democracy.
Every Etonian, Harrovian and Carthusian I met at university was the same. They are a plague.

I do not watch the BBC because it pretends to be impartial and hold government to account. It does not such thing as instead it is a government mouthpiece. State broadcaster, after all. GMB is not perfect by any means and sometimes it plays into right wing talking points. It is also clear sometimes where the presenter is coming from politically when their own views should be hidden. But ultimately ITV's objective is to make money through adverts, which is more honest than the BBC pretending it is actually doing what it should be. By far some of the tougher interviews with government or anyone else for that matter are on GMB.

He cannot grasp that by the time the fat cat energy companies have sat on their hands taking in enormous profits, that the elderly will probably not live long enough to benefit from new energy production. no revolution has happened without some minor consequences, but there’s no doubt the benefits will outweigh the cons. Essentially its for the greater good, because Boris intends to Ultimately
      - Recover the Economy
      - Cheapen Energy
      - Lower taxes
But thanks to Covid some sacrifices have to be made first. Its a horrible thing that elderly people like Elsie have to bear the brunt of the consequences. But speaking purely from a financial viewpoint, Elsie is likely a pensioner, not working and thus not contributing to the economy so of course while it may be sad people like her are suffering, but just know its not actually a major tragedy. One meal a day is more than what billions of poor people outside the UK get anyway.

BJ does not understand the plights of poor people and the elderly. He does not understand how his policies and his excuses for it can't buy food on the table or pay rent to your home.
How pitiful the elder was. To ride a bus whole day just to cut cost for energy. Mind you, Elders ARE HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE to getting COVID19 just staying at home let alone riding public transport.
It is the kind of irresponsible thing a CRIMINAL like himself would do. And Labour and SNP are "playing politics"? These Tories who are protecting him have that gall to say that.
This issue of ousting Boris is not just about politics. Maybe for Blackford and Starmer it can be but for the rest of the populace? It is not. Truth is ANY person who sits as Prime Minister replacing him CAN DO as good if not better job than him. Not necessarily Blackford or Starmer.
He should be ousted. US Presidents have been impeached or urged to resign for crimes less grave than his. He will not resign of course. Criminals love abusing people so oust him.

I can't help but this remind me of what happened in Ireland with the famine. The British government would not stop British companies taking food out of Ireland, and wouldn't supply Ireland with extra food, because they believed in a "free market economy" and didn't want the government to interfere with companies doing what they wanted. As a result, millions of Irish died, the only country in the world today, to have a smaller population than it did 150 years ago. Today, Boris Johnson refuses to tax these energy corporations, because he believes in this "free market economy", and British people are going to suffer, not as badly as the Irish, but it's the same ideology that caused millions to die in Ireland and India, and result is going to be the suffering of a lot of people.

I said the population of Ireland, not the population of Boston. Diaspora of the Irish has a lot to do with British rule in the past. "The Irish didn't help themselves" I'm sure you could come up with several ways in which the Irish could have done something negligible, but the fact is, they were under British rule, and forced to export, during a famine, the food which could have saved their lives. That was the main cause, could there have been smaller issues? Sure, but it's like saying "This guy seems to have died from a septic scratch on his finger, when his head had been blown off with a gun".
