Awesome guys!! We have been up there several times but I still got goosebumps watching your video. So glad you experienced this gorgeous part of our country. Loved watching all your travels, love to you both xx
Where the rainforest meets the reef - I lived up there for a few years at Cooya Beach. Love that you're taking me back there in these videos Christine and Michael. Thank you. xo
Nicest place on earth to holiday- always amazing heading up the top of Australia. beautiful climate, beautiful place , beautiful people & plenty to see. I liked Cape Tribulation, went to the beach during October, but I forgot it was stinger season, warned to keep out of water after end Sept. So I went in, luckily it was ok. You bet there are crocodiles hanging in there in the water, I saw a black tree snake hanging down over water in Daintree. Great Holiday Trip !
March 2020, right before the Covid Shut Down: We arrived from Sydney too late on Sunday 3/7 to enjoy the Port Douglas market so it was nice to get a feel for it from this couple's video. We stayed at the Thala Beach Resort close to Oak Beach. The resort was a luxury, relaxing amazing place. There is more flexibility with self drive, but we enjoyed our day trip to the Daintree, Cape Tribulation and Mossman . Our time in the area included one day at the Barrier Reef, one day in Port Douglas, a day just at the Resort and then boo hoo, back to Cairns to rejoin our cruise on 3/12/20. And on 3/13/20 everything hit the fan, -- our adventure was over or beginning!. We had to skip Darwin and speed to Freemantle for disembarkation and repatriation to the US from Perth. So glad we did this side trip to North Queensland. It was lovely.
Nice videos guys, I've watched ur video of Maui, just before I went there, was there last October and November, magic! Just now I plan a trip to Qeensland and I run into ur AUS video again!! Aloha!
You two really look healthy! All that good food and traveling is working for y'all! I really enjoy seeing the places you visit and the food you eat there. He is really cute!
Yes guys, no swimming - unless you want to live very dangerously. This is what the pools are here for, but there are mountain streams not all that far were it is save to do so. Enjoy your stay !
So beautiful. I was supposed to visit Cape Tribulation on my trip but it rained so hard we couldn't get there. I really missed out! Loving your travel vlogs x
Im travelling around Cairns at the moment been up a bit north as well just amazing lush environments up here only thing is the beaches are SOO much better down south in new south wales, because of the reef the beaches are quite flat with no waves but new south wales has some of the best surfing wave beaches.
No wonder why you guys are not in a hurry to come home to Maui yet. Those beaches/places are beautiful. I'm still trying to figure out how to go about saving enough money to travel like you guys do...oh well, for now, i'll just travel through your videos. Thanks!
I would think a "vacation" would be just that. This isn't a humanitarian tour! Besides, what country doesn't have a problem with all those things, plus more? I appreciate that they are contributing to the economy and appreciate the "escape" that not all of us can have in our lives at this moment.
Why did this video have to end so soon! Loved it! Thank you Christine and Michael for all the time you take to film and edit and upload your videos. It's greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. xox
That person was in no way being rude, they were simply explaining why the original comment was such a generalisation and in no way a true reflection of the reality of Australian life.
I loved Cape Tribulation. Thought it was one of the most beautiful beaches I'd been too. Such a shame it's too dangerous to swim there! Gorgeous part of the world. You'll have to come back and do the outback and the West coast - down from Broome - you'd love it over there too.
Am wondering if you see the questions that people ask here as I never see a response, I perhaps missed it. When do you have to go back to Hawaii? Beautiful vids.
Looks gorgeous. Really helpful aswell as my family and I will be staying in port douglas in October this year. Any hints tips do's or do not's that we should know about???
Hahaha, yes, there definitely WILL be something waiting in there for you, something hungry. I'm glad you didn't take a dip in that lovely calm water Michael.
Dh and I went to Deland, Fla to visit my aunt-we were walking along the John's River-got to the end of the walkway and there was a sign that said don't feed the crocodiles!! What?? When we started looking closely in the river we saw them.
Shame you didn't go to Green Island. its the best place in the world to stay in an eco-friendly resort and swim with Green Turtles, reef sharks, heaps of fish and Dolphins. Too many to mention. And it is a stones throw away from a great spot on the Great Barrier Reef.
I love this place too.. Actually I was showing the last video to my husband and he what about the crocodiles? And I said what? Is there crocodiles too? And now you guys are mentions them now!! Scary!!!
Even in a small town... not locking your doors nowadays is stupid. Just asking for trouble. Had our car broken into more than once as well... and I live in a regional town. Maybe 10 or 15 years ago - one might not have bothered locking your doors if you were just going out for a walk or something but that was then... this is now and even in a small-ish town, it's necessary to lock up, of course it is. Hilarious to hear your take on crime in a country you've never even been to.
Oh come on, it's not that bad, I live in the suburb that has the highest crime rate in Queensland and my life is still fine, it doesn't touch you if your sensible and don't go out looking for it.
That's funny to read as an Aussie (even one who lives in a regional area - small town of 20,000) Like the 50s!?! You've gotta be joking! I'll be honest, yes, we do enjoy a lower crime rate than many western nations but those values & peace you speak of - you're obviously buying into the Oprah/tourism campaign version of Aus. We have gangs in our big cities just like other countries, one of the highest obesity rates in the world, same issues as you folks - so, like it was in the 50s? haha, no!
Don't be deceived by that...australians appear laid back...but I have worked in a law firm in Australia..and they are just as ambitious as the rest of the planet. So my experience is its a bit of a myth! lol
i would have to say Port Douglas is the most OVER RATED PLACE.. the beaches are no different to the ones along the whole australian coast..i give it 2/10 as a score.
Looks gorgeous. Really helpful aswell as my family and I will be staying in port douglas in October this year. Any hints tips do's or do not's that we should know about???

Where the rainforest meets the reef - I lived up there for a few years at Cooya Beach. Love that you're taking me back there in these videos Christine and Michael. Thank you. xo
That 360 view of the beach and sound was so relaxing.
Once again another great enjoyable video, love watching and am always anxious for new ones to be posted. Thank you so much!!
Gorgeous beaches and landscape. Uhg, Australia is beautiful! I really love how you two actually move around to a lot of places to explore each part!

Great video. Makes me a little homesick for Nth Qld. We lived at Palm Cove
Lucky you! I took a tour from Cairns and when I turned into the main street in Palm Cove, I thought I had died and gone to heaven:-))))))
Visited Palm Cove years back it's the perfect paradise so peaceful and tranquil. Hope to return one day
Loving these Australia videos...wish I could go there.

LOVE the INTRO music! (What is it?)
Your travel videos have been awesome. Very educational. What a peaceful country Australia is!
I would think a "vacation" would be just that. This isn't a humanitarian tour! Besides, what country doesn't have a problem with all those things, plus more?
I appreciate that they are contributing to the economy and appreciate the "escape" that not all of us can have in our lives at this moment.
Hope you enjoyed Cape Tribulation! Check out our video for more contents from the Tropical North Queensland 🌴🦘🐨 🐊

Why did this video have to end so soon! Loved it! Thank you Christine and Michael for all the time you take to film and edit and upload your videos. It's greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. xox

I used to swim there all the time - but only during the day, and only during the cooler stinger-free months.
hope you had a good time in my part of the world. I love it here (bit hot in summer tho).
Am wondering if you see the questions that people ask here as I never see a response, I perhaps missed it. When do you have to go back to Hawaii? Beautiful vids.
What splendid places! Compliment a very beautiful video! :-)) Gianni.
Love your travel videos, but when are you coming home?
I think you two should start a tour company, I'd love to travel with you both.
When you get back to Hawaii, please give us a tour of the U.S.S.Arizona memorial!
Is it possible Australia's beaches are more beautiful than Hawaii's? Amazing beaches!
Nice video, good impression!
Looks gorgeous. Really helpful aswell as my family and I will be staying in port douglas in October this year. Any hints tips do's or do not's that we should know about???
suegush take a rain coat in summer its the wet season
+lee coates - we're going for 5 days over Christmas, will it rain every day? will the rain last long or does it just last 20 minutes then dries up?
Hahaha, yes, there definitely WILL be something waiting in there for you, something hungry. I'm glad you didn't take a dip in that lovely calm water Michael.

Are you going to norway?:) I hope you can come here to norway:)

Thank you Christine :)
the daintree village is very Nth, above there it looks like London I bet. why did you leave of.
I miss your normal videos - eagerly awaiting your return! :)
I have been there before it is so good
I was there 2 days a ghost go checkout my videos
They'll be back in mid-November - I think 11/15.
where did you find the paw paws? :) x
This reminds me of Paul Hogan in " Crocodile dundee "
You mean driving on the left hand side of the road. The side that the driver's seat is on is not the issue! lol.
do the toilets spin the other way ? sorry just thought of it :)
Shame you didn't go to Green Island.
its the best place in the world to stay in an eco-friendly resort and swim with Green Turtles, reef sharks, heaps of fish and Dolphins. Too many to mention.

She is showing tourist areas, actually.
I love this place too.. Actually I was showing the last video to my husband and he what about the crocodiles? And I said what? Is there crocodiles too? And now you guys are mentions them now!! Scary!!!
I heard this this was one of the worlds dangerous beaches
Yep! Big Crocs. i mean BIG
More likely to swim into a box jellyfish.
Rainforest to reef
It's really dangerous to swim in the ocean at this time of year, that far north with no stinger suit. Box jelly fibs can kill.
Wonder why no one is in the water swimming? Box jelly's…careful!
7:52 Looks like a barramundi.

Привет из РОССИИ. SUPER))))
The internet :(
It means that Australia is a tourist state and want people to see it as ideal. It is not even remotely an ideal state of being.

same generic "cuisine" at any $5 Thai place.
Don't be deceived by that...australians appear laid back...but I have worked in a law firm in Australia..and they are just as ambitious as the rest of the planet. So my experience is its a bit of a myth! lol
That's only true for the big cities. 90% of people in the rest of the country are indeed laid back
no, that's actually just a silly myth. And not even an interesting one at that... who cares!
i would have to say Port Douglas is the most OVER RATED PLACE.. the beaches are no different to the ones along the whole australian coast..i give it 2/10 as a score.
True. Surfers Paradise is better. Then so are many NSW beaches..they are the best.
Surfers Paradise sucks. I live there. Best beaches are def Northern NSW.
Yup!
Looks gorgeous. Really helpful aswell as my family and I will be staying in port douglas in October this year. Any hints tips do's or do not's that we should know about???
