I was able to repair my phone successfully, even without a heat gun. A couple of things that were not in the video. (1) I had two rubber grommets fall off. The red one is easy to see in your video. The other is a black one round with a flat side, maybe from the power socket or the camera? I had to guess where to put it. (2) In the final step of assembling the back cover, do you clean off the adhesive tape and reglue? Again, superb video, thx :-)
More important, when changing LCD with a frame to be carefully with a side buttons. Easy to break.First remove Flex Power Volume Button Cable after the buttons. If buttons not stay in a place any more I recommend to use a case.

Thanks , I would suggest to use some avgas 100/130 gasoline to help to solve the double side adhesive tape that holds the battery and power - volume buttons.
The nice thing is that the adhesive will swell and become tacky so in most cases you can reuse it. My G6 Plus was a little different , the battery had a different connector and was very difficult to remove without damaging it. Thanks again for your video !

Why put that DISGUSTING glue under the screen?? Be a professional and take your time to run a strong double sided tape in order to make future repairs easier.

I used a piece of plastic that I cut from a container holding colored pencils. It was strong but thin. I think a slice from a water bottle might be good too.

Thanks for the clear video! Warning - when you're setting the new screen into the adhesive, be careful about location of the three connectors at bottom right (with screen facing down). After screen adhesive dries, each connector will have to reach its connection point on motherboard. I didn't leave enough slack for one of them. When I resorted to detaching the screen to fix it, I broke off a connector.
