There's this saying where if someone successfully covers an EXO song, they're definitely a much anticipated artist... Baekhyun's and EXO's songs requires a lot of vocal techniques and layerings to sing it perfectly so if an artist covers it pretty well, that artist is definitely talented, and this guy is really great because he puts his own flavor to the song too which amazed me!! i think it’s because we people naturally love high notes, we are attracted to it that we praise those vocalists who can do it. so many praise han for doing such (is he tenor? idk but it is comfortable for him to sing at high range). it is just sad that baritones like seungmin are not being praised as much as those hitting-high-note vocalists (thinking they are not that great :< ). seungmin’s low range is really worth complimenting (and need to be showcased more!) and i hope stays see and realize that :) also! it is really good to see and hear that in stray kids, my fave vocalist duo is han and seungmin, because of their combination? han can hit those high notes while seungmin is really great at low notes. perfect example is their part at neverending story. Growing listening to Baekhyun's voice and how he developed his singing style and skills , you get so used to his technique and his perfectly executed falsetto that its hard to like covers of his original works , so seriously when I say seungmin did such a phenomenal job with this I mean it , his falsetto appeals so much to me which is something so new to me , I love how it sounds different , more tender , he respected the song but at the same time he decorated it in his own way as a vocalist , I love how unique his voice is , the last verse was so satisfying to hear , it was so crisp , seungmin gave a new feeling to love again , the fact that he possesses such a musical ear is so evident in the way he sings ❤
My opinion as a Baekhyun biased Exol is that this was a pretty good cover. I don't know Stray Kids except for their song Back Door (which I really like), even though this singer has a completely different tone and voice color compared to Baekhyun, he put his on spin on the song and made it his. Before being Stay, I am an Exo-L for almost 5 years. Baekhyun's vocal range and most of his songs are too difficult to cover. And if there's an artist that succeeded in covering Baekhyun/EXO's song, so that artist must be an anticipated. This is my most favorite song from Baekhyun and Seungmin really covered it well ❣
The common think about exo and skz I feel is that all the members in the group have solo potential when the spotlight is on them but they still blend in the group as a whole.

He really deserved this 🥺 he literally reached the baekhyun's version in this cover amazingly. He didn't leave the original vibes but still managed to blend it with his own vibes. For the people who don't know who is Byun Baekhyun, he is one of the main vocalist of EXO AKA Kpop's Vocal Kings. Each main vocal of EXO has different styles, and Seungmin just happened to pick Baekhyun...... Baekhyun's vocal in my opinion is the most complex among the 3 of them. Even vocal coaches say that Baekhyun really loves to play with his voice, you can search EXO's acoustic medleys or Baekhyun's OSTs and you'll know what I mean.... And here comes Kim Seungmin.... Just WOW, the way he did it in his own style, and the fact that he also played with his voice like Baekhyun is just... How the hell can someone be this Perfect? Seungmin's been doing well since Pre-debut, I'm just disappointed cause people can't see that.... This cover will definitely slap those creatures who hates Seungmin's vocals

Growing listening to Baekhyun's voice and how he developed his singing style and skills , you get so used to his technique and his perfectly executed falsetto that its hard to like covers of his original works , so seriously when I say seungmin did such a phenomenal job with this I mean it , his falsetto appeals so much to me which is something so new to me , I love how it sounds different , more tender , he respected the song but at the same time he decorated it in his own way as a vocalist , I love how unique his voice is , the last verse was so satisfying to hear , it was so crisp , seungmin gave a new feeling to love again , the fact that he possesses such a musical ear is so evident in the way he sings ❤

My opinion as a Baekhyun biased Exol is that this was a pretty good cover. I don't know Stray Kids except for their song Back Door (which I really like), even though this singer has a completely different tone and voice color compared to Baekhyun, he put his on spin on the song and made it his. Baekhyun's songs are really hard to cover and he successfully did that. Congrats

For the people who don't know who is Byun Baekhyun, he is one of the main vocalist of EXO AKA Kpop's Vocal Kings. Each main vocal of EXO has different styles, and Seungmin just happened to pick Baekhyun...... Baekhyun's vocal in my opinion is the most complex among the 3 of them. Even vocal coaches say that Baekhyun really loves to play with his voice, you can search EXO's acoustic medleys or Baekhyun's OSTs and you'll know what I mean.... And here comes Kim Seungmin.... Just WOW, the way he did it in his own style, and the fact that he also played with his voice like Baekhyun is just... How the hell can someone be this Perfect? Seungmin's been doing well since Pre-debut, I'm just disappointed cause people can't see that.... This cover will definitely slap those creatures who hates Seungmin's vocals
