Presearch is a decentralized and private search engine. The coolest feature in my opinion is that the infrastructure for the project is run by users with nodes. When you run a PRE node, you are not only supporting the project directly, but you also earn rewards in the form of PRE crypto tokens. I run 11 PRE nodes. In this video I show you exactly how much I have made in the last 30 days with these nodes. This will hopefully give you an idea of what you could potentially earn. @@normana.8559 I made 25 pre in the beginning using a link and now have 114 pre by just using it as my main search engine for a year. I can't claim It yet but every bit helpe and with this project going the right way it may be het worth 300$ in the future

I could escape from google search but I cannot escape from from googlemaps, gmail and for instance TH-cam which is linked to all the google Inc products.. We are doomed anyway
can you run multiple nodes (pre, Flux, NKN) on my virtual machine? You mentioned that you gave up 50 bucks running the virtual but if you could more than one coin node on one machine it would take care of the overhead. Also, instead of using upcloud, if I setup a small army of computers or raspberry pi's at my house at nodes, would they count or be used or would it not be worth it because they're all on my local network? in other words do the nodes work behind one ISP IP or does it matter?
I am addicted to nodes...I've gotten 1 a day for the past 3 days straight... I fear if there is a dip, I may purchase more.. Thanks, Andy =X

Unfortunately with the amount of sh** coin-boys and moon-boys post involving day-trading profits, the concept of value investing (ie, investing in something with less day 1 profit that has massive market cap potential) is hard for many to understand. Your Flux example is so important, I wish people took that to heart more when investing in coins.

Have you thought about doing a follow up on your nodes? Which ones are still profitable? Which one would you invest in if you only had $500-1000 to start?
So do you need 11 separate computers for 11 Nodes? How many computers Are you running the same computers and running Flux and Presearch on them jointly?
One thing that Makes me concerned about such projects is that people will sell their rewards and that will crash the price of token. Can you explain how the sustainability of this project?
There are pretty big incentives to stake your tokens vs sell them. Like Flux, a big majority of the tokens are locked up from staking.
Hi Andy, great video/content as always! What do you think about the 1000 PRE level current threshold to Witdraw the tokens? that means with 1 node making 400 PRE a year, it takes 2,5 years to be eligible to widraw 1000 PRE tokens? I got a bit confused about this because I think you also 'claimed' your PRE earned at a lower level < 1000 PRE ? And I agree with you, you can always sell your initial investment (tokens staked) for current market prices if you want out. Which is the almost the same risk in ' market price' that you take if you buy/sell crypto on regular exchanges.
If I understand correctly, the "Claim" button is more of a formality for taxation purposes, etc. If you don't "claim" your rewards, that means you do not take ownership of the rewards from the rewards pool, and your gain is not realised. But if you "claim" your rewards, you gain is realised.
After claiming, the rewards are moved to your "saving account" and you could use them as an additional stake on nodes or for keyword advertising.
If you want to move the PRE out of the Presearch system, what you are looking for is "Withdrawal". For the sake of stability of the ecosystem, they don't encourage people to withdraw, but according to what I read from one of their Medium posts, you could actually request for "an urgent withdrawal" anytime you need by emailing to withdrawals@presearch.io (as long as you're willing to pay the ETH gas fee yourself).
I guess they just want people who are willing to stake long-term to join, so they emphasised on the withdrawal restriction and seldom mention the option for "urgent withdrawal" in other places.
@@TripImmigration Thanks for the input, I also did some additional research which had some more positive results: I found out Presearch is going to integrate a WEB3 wallet (own or metamask'ish) so you can witdraw your tokens yourself (without asking Presearch to send them). Also they are thinking about revising that 1000 PRE limit, I see them posting updates every day/week on Twitter/Telegram/TH-cam etc. with roadmap and updates (so very much alive). I think it's just the case that the project is going from the testnet to the mainnet and is maturing, so that seems like a good buy-in long-term investment opportunity. In regards to the 'profit taking', the 'barrier to enter' seems logical starting from 10+ nodes. I run those 10 nodes now, so 20K PRE required to stake. I mine 1,25 PRE a day per node on average, in about 3 months I can potentially sell 1K. So to conclude, from my perspective it's not about getting your ROI, but just (1) take profit when you mine a certain amount of PRE or (2). stake your mined PRE and scale up more nodes. If you want out eventually, just sell your staked and mined PRE.
Good for you , you already are in money to wait for years also if this is bull market , bear market is in 6 months... I'll wait then buy when it goes down...
If it's in 6months. Who knows. Many people sit on the sidelines waiting for crashes and miss out on the best returns yet.

whats your estimated PRE per month on 1 x 10,000 token node? I will be running 25 x 10,000 nodes so expecting a $250 VPS inital startup cost for the year. Just trying to estimate if the extra PRE from running multiple nodes is worth the $250 yearly VPS fee or just pay $11 and dump 250,000 tokens onto one.

calculated 10k nodes is a good number to use up your PRE and not get diminishing returns. Have 250k token doing 25 nodes. Also save on VPS costs with less nodes.
I have been running 9 PRE nodes. I cashed out with the value that was left. PRE value has been trending down to much for me. If it dips below hosting cost not really worthwhile. I like the concept of Presearch but do not like the lack of serious communication with supporters that run nodes.
I live this project, but why has the token price done pretty much zip since July 2018 other than the October 2021 spike?
Is anyone paying attention that withdrawal out of Kucoin costs 150 Pre each node? This rate would take 5 months to pay back just that.
It's an ETH token. That's the cost of doing business. Worrying about how long it takes to make it back is small potatoes if Presearch gets into the top 100 or higher.
what happens to the collateral PRE if your PC malfunctions that you had the PRE nodes running? Can with withdraw the PRE and remake the nodes on another PC or would you lose all your PRE?
The keyword staking sounds like heaven for scammers. I can see many retail people losing a lot of money that way

it is actually less... been running 10 nodes for 3 days and they barely made 1,9 pre. so 0,63 pre a day....

Hi. You are confusing "Browser" with "Search Engine". Presearch is a search engine (like Google) and not a browser (like Chrome). You can use Presearch AND MetaMask in Chrome.

Well, i think i have done everything per the instruction in the setting up video. I am running a Mac but everything seems the same. I cant get my node to show on the dashboard so i may have done something wrong. can you please advise?

Gave it a go, not worth it for sure, and pulling pre out costs you $25 USD. While I appreciate that longer term it might work out, I guess for me the vision and the reality of it being utilised isn't something I can see.

Only if you take todays metrics. That is where the opportunity is. look at other nodes that have become pretty valuable. Of course no certainty but seems like a reasonable risk/reward to me with longer outlook than just one year.

Andy Can you explain how the fináncial model works here ? In flux the customer pays flux for use the service, but here the people earn pre for staking , for a node , earn for advertising ( dont paid nothing, only staking ) , earn for searching , where this money come?

What happens with your staked PRE when your search ad got clicked on or you get conversion? Do your get charged PRE for the click on the "ad" or what?
You don't lose any. You can unstake and use it at any time. You are just locking it up temporarily.

I think at the moment they don't charge you for the traffic, but this could change if the service become very popular. They did say they will warn people way ahead of they'd charge for clicks.

IMO staking more is better, Long term definitely will see a big yield for it, I think maybe you should also do a review for pop network nodes too.

One great value with Pop is what Andy mentioned in the video, you can unstake your coins from your masternode at anytime.

Hi Andy, in regards to stacking into one node to spreading to multiple. If the cost of server is $5 per node would it be more profitable just to house on 1 node pay only $5 instead of doing 11 with $55?
You can definitely just run 1 node with a bunch of PRE staked on it vs a bunch of individual nodes.
Each 2K PRE node earns 1.2-1.6 PRE per day. Each additional 1K PRE you stake on it earns an additional 0.3 PRE.
So you will earn more with more nodes, but if you don't want to deal with that, you can stake them all on one. Personal preference. With regardless to the $55 VPS cost, I don't really care about that very much. Small price to pay to keep stacking more PRE. When 1 PRE is worth $1-5 each, it will be worth it. Just my opinion though! Best of luck!

i have a question. You have 11 nodes @ 2000 ($500) pre each. How is this making you money, if you have to put over $5000 to get 11 nodes to make $100 a month, minus cloud fees? I was about to start this, but need clarification on how this makes money?
He ain't making money on this, he is an influencer. He influences you to buy which hopefully makes the price go up for him, then he sells it off. Not hating on him, it's just a fact. I ran 3 nodes for about 3 months and netted 290 tokens. At today's price that's $52. 😂 It's only slightly more than the 150 PRE you have to pay to transfer the initial tokens to start the node. Speculative at best. Recently I decided to pull my money out in favor of a different project. Turns out you have to go through some back and forth email process to withdraw your tokens. In my case the price dropped almost 20% while I was waiting for a response. Still waiting after 7 days by the way. I would strongly recommend against noding up at this time, there are better things out there to invest in.
@@thepaulguy Thank you for the reply. When I watched the video and looked at the numbers, it didn't look as good as Andy hyped it up to be. I was just starting in crypto at that time. Since I've been in projects for over a month now, I noticed that youtubers over inflate the numbers. Baked beans for example...they provide a calculator and it does not even compare to real world rewards. I do understand they always state do your own research. That is why I questioned Andy, but no reply. I figured that would happen, since he would have to explain the high rewards when it doesn't actually prove it.

Thanks for the video, great info. A question, can I run a Presearch node on a laptop instead of a online server? I have 3 laptops i7 gathering dust and wondered if I can use them to run the node...
cant you just run this on a raspberry pi? ditch the vps and buy a buch of pis! or hell maybe even one decent pc that you could run all your servers on... or ... even better yet an actually commercial grade server.. just seems like you would be saving a ton of money with either option.. well not factoring in sponsor deals you may have with these vps serveries
You can! However it's one IP address per node... so unless you have multiple IPs at home, you can only run one node on a Pi at home. Also I don't really care too much about the VPS cost right now because I'm not selling any PRE and I'm not worried about profitability right now. I am treating these like each PRE will be worth $1-5 per token in the future.
@@YourFriendAndy you could run a different VPN for every node. Should still be quite a bit cheaper that a VPS. Still great video.. really got me thinking ;)

Yield node is a great one Andy has got a great video about it .
Flux is a good example on running a Nodes. When I got into Flux it was at $0.24 and 10,000 Flux was $2,400 to start a node. Today(2/19/22) Flux is at $1.50 so if you were to start at node, that's $15,000. That a big difference, luckily Flux nodes are having a halving on the cost to start up a node. So now it's just 1000 Flux to start a node come 3/1/22. So if Presearch does the same, it might just cost a couple of hundred to start up a node today. Beats $3000 to start a Presearch Node if the price ever gets to $1.50 per token, or more.
