Hello, this strategy is directional where we assume that market will rise and may be cross 20K… but if market falls then this will give loss in BOTH ..SELL PE and buy CE .

This is slightly bulish strategy but not perfect for increasing vix because in present scenario vix will increase only if market comes down and in this case call buy leg premium will melt fastly which will resulted in heavy loss alongwith heavy loss in put sell leg also. so we cannot say this is a good strategy for increasing vix, but yes if we turn this to put side ( put buy , put sell and call sell) this may be good. Secondly if we make only strangle with same qty, same price and same distance without buy leg, in case of big move current or nearer day's MtoM loss is almost same as this strategy gives. So in conclusion we can,t say this strategy gives good MtoM cushion. yes this is slightly directional so will provide few cushion in that direction otherwise will show more mark to market loss in opposite side,

When a strategy or thing becomes too popular, it looses it's edge or the charm. I must say (my observation) that reason of low VIX for last couple of years is no body but you 😅. As it is you who made option selling popular among the retailers 😊. During corona times I also learned about option selling from your videos and also made money. But later due to decrease in premium left it as it was no more a reason to take so much of risk.

Evennif the vix is trading at its lowest point doesn’t mean there is no volatility. Check bank nifty everyday moving 400 point on either side
Great Video; But I would suggest never take an unhedged trade since i used to do short straddles and strangles and the Feb 24 crash due to Russian attack on Ukraine wiped out 10% Capital in a single day and after that I always buy a hedged leg for the downside , never in the history other than Covid period market had made huge gap ups. So be prepared for black swann events and buy 18500 PE in this strategy so that you don't loose big. Never take unhedged positions especially on the downside; JAI HIND

What was the vix when position taken and the time video shoot? Vix plays big role in selling. This is the time for naked buying and take sell side when vix shoots up

Sir, This position looks like a synthetic strangle. Also vega of your position is not visible in the video. I am sure that will be negative value . That’s not good for a low vix market.

Then sell atm call option and shift the put option to lower strike. Also increase the no of call and decrease the put numbers

When the vix is low is it better to buy a call option or put option if we are only buyers.
Sir, when I write/short a call option , I will get a premium. Once the premium is credited, can I square- off my calloption before expiry? If I do that, will I loose my premium collected?
pe sell profit is only for 5 lots.. count it for 7 lots if u wanna compare with strangle ...this is wrong comparison what u r doin
