    Nice video.
Would have like to see a bit more of Mariposa. But i know your videos are more about the drive than each city/town, etc.
I used to live in Mariposa, but I haven't been there since 1980 or so.

Having been watching your YT channel since it's early days, I don't recall you ever doing a video of CA route 140. So this is a real treat.
Assuming that you're going to continue to drive into Yosemite national park via CA 140, can't wait to see how the road looks as it enters the park, just like you previously done for both CA 120 & CA 41.

A continuation of this video is in the works, just don't have an ETA for when its going to be released. Thanks for tuning in! The drive up to Yosemite is great no matter which way you come into the park. I will say CA-41 is by far the best with Tunnel View as you make your way into the valley.

Pretty awesome scenery here, and I imagine the vistas were even better in person than on video. May I suggest something? Check your camera mounting for a loose joint/fitting. I'd mentioned on the other video about it shaking around the video axis, and I noted it here as well. It wasn't bad (noticeable but not a problem), but from what I see something may be loose in the mounting. It picked up the bounces and 'resonated' around the video axis, suggesting a loose connection. It happened even with rough places on the road that affected both sides of the vehicle at the same time.
I envy you with all that awesome scenery... we dream of moving out west and being able to see things like that!

Trust me when I say this, there is nothing loose. I've taken the suggestions from people over the years and tried a view different mounts and they all do the same thing. The road quality determines the quality of the video and the shakiness you see. That's just not something I can control. The camera has the built in stabilization and it works more than what I need it to do. I've bought three different mounts to try and eliminate the possibilities you mentioned and I've come to the conclusion that road quality effects video quality. Just like bad roads deteriorate your car faster, the same goes for these types of videos ;/

I have pretty much the same camera as @@InterstateKyle and the footage definitely comes out as bumpy when driving on bumpy roads. Not much you can do about it.
When I first started filming road videos, they were MUCH more shaky. The camera I was using did not have the best image stabilization compared to the Sony FDR-AX43 that I have now.

From the top of Guadalupe Grade at 12:16, you can see the Clark Range of the Park, and it's even more visible when there's snow in the backcountry. And speaking as a resident of Mariposa County, Hwy 140 is the easiest of the highways going into Yosemite as there's less traffic than Hwys 41 and 120 combined. The burn area at 12:50 was also part of the Detwiler Fire of 2017 (it forked off near Mt. Bullion and tore through the passing lane area like anything, and took several homes with it too).

Mariposa is awesome. Should have followed it all the way to Yosemite! Would have been sick! Or to coarse gold

How is the drive from Mariposa to Oakhurst on hwy 49? Lots of switchbacks?

Going from memory, the answer to your question is no.
It gets windy (wine dee, not win dee), but it's a fairly easy drive.
I haven't been there since 1980, but I lived in Mariposa and Bootjack for a while. Graduated from Mariposa County High School.
