I have been following you guys for awhile now! Started training for my first Sprint months ago, jacked my hip during a 1/2 Marathon and was ready to give up my Sprint dreams. 4 days before the Seattle Sprint I decided to pull my head out, and make it my race. Killed some of the obstacles, nailed my spear throw and boogered the freakin' HELIX!! Finished strong, battered and bruised with my hubby by my side. Swore on Sunday it was a ONE AND DONE! Today is Wednesday 9/11.... Gonna start training for Seattle in April today. You guys have been a constant source of info and inspiration! I can't thank you enough! Betcha didn't know you were a part of my journey! 14th of 30 for my age and I WALKED! Gonna spend a lot of time with you boys before the next one! Don't ever stop! Y'all are making a difference in a lot of lives! AROO!

I saw an alternative method of going over the wall during my last Spartan. Someone was offering me advise as he saw i was struggling. He grabbed the top of the wall with both hands, walked up it into a crouch with his feet flat on the wall, and then hooked his leg over to help getting the rest of the way up. Seemed like a good method for those that were a little limited in upper body strength. It would have worked for me, but the wall was so called with mud I could not get traction to place my feet. Awesome video, it will help me in the future!

I'd like to see more practical application. What exercises to do in the gym to build the strength, and how to practice if you don't have an 8 foot wall to practice on

Right on, good suggestion. We'll have to make a video, but in short, if you don't have a wall, the best practical exercise is pullups. Pullups work all the same muscles you'll use pulling yourself up the wall and develop grip strength too.

Here's our take on how to handle Berlin / Spartan Walls. Different techniques, all with the same goal - get up and over that thing!

Great idea! We will need to add inverted walls to the queue. we should probably build one of those as well.

Laughed hard when you talking about how not to do pull ups 5:10 - funny shit. We know you were referring to crossfitters. pmsl.
