Hey Shantia, I love your content and the transparency and real way you deliver the word of God. I listened to this video and just had one critique about what you said about the way we dress. Now this is coming out of love and compassion because I was in the same boat. You speak of authenticity and I get that but a lot of our fashion choices are in an effort to fit in looks wise with the rest of the world. Modest attire is not some stiff religious rule we have to follow in order to be saved, it's the way we differentiate ourselves from the rest of the world and protect what should only belong to our spouse. This is for men and women. If you just don't have anything else to wear that's one thing, but if you purposefully go out and purchase things to show off your body one must ask themselves why? If the holy spirit has not convicted you yet then what I am saying will be perceived as hate but this is a loving rebuke. I was in the same boat and nobody could tell me different. Shantia, Take it (your thoughts, perspectives, etc.) back to God if you haven't already. I think you are wonderful and your videos have blessed me SOOO MUCH! However, I do disagree with some of what you said. Yes, we are uniquely made but after we turn our lives over to Jesus, we are to be more like Jesus. Like John says, He must increase but I must decrease, John 3:30. Like Jesus said, Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him (and He will help us), Matthew 4:24-26. Like Paul said, Put off the old man and put on the new man, Ephesians 4:22-24. There are indeed things we have to die to and some traits we have to take off and new traits we have to put on. I dont know anyone who is perfect and God takes us from one level to another. Although I think you missed it on this, I believe God truly speaks through you (what a gift you are to the world!). You already know that Satan is clever and tricky. Dont let him take from you what God has in store for you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Maybe what you are going through is a test in some way??? If I was a hater, I wouldn't be speaking the truth in love. As I said at the beginning, lay down your personal thoughts on this matter if you haven't already by taking it to God (to get a clear word from Him on this), and keep pressing on. On the other hand, Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. If you are indeed moving in a wrong direction in how you are dressing or doing things, Satan is just waiting for an opportunity to pull down what God is trying to build in your life. Hey Shantia, I love your content and the transparency and real way you deliver the word of God. I listened to this video and just had one critique about what you said about the way we dress. Now this is coming out of love and compassion because I was in the same boat. You speak of authenticity and I get that but a lot of our fashion choices are in an effort to fit in looks wise with the rest of the world. Modest attire is not some stiff religious rule we have to follow in order to be saved, it's the way we differentiate ourselves from the rest of the world and protect what should only belong to our spouse. This is for men and women. If you just don't have anything else to wear that's one thing, but if you purposefully go out and purchase things to show off your body one must ask themselves why? If the holy spirit has not convicted you yet then what I am saying will be perceived as hate but this is a loving rebuke. I was in the same boat and nobody could tell me different. Shantia, Take it (your thoughts, perspectives, etc.) back to God if you haven't already. I think you are wonderful and your videos have blessed me SOOO MUCH! However, I do disagree with some of what you said. Yes, we are uniquely made but after we turn our lives over to Jesus, we are to be more like Jesus. Like John says, He must increase but I must decrease, John 3:30. Like Jesus said, Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him (and He will help us), Matthew 4:24-26. Like Paul said, Put off the old man and put on the new man, Ephesians 4:22-24. There are indeed things we have to die to and some traits we have to take off and new traits we have to put on. I dont know anyone who is perfect and God takes us from one level to another. Although I think you missed it on this, I believe God truly speaks through you (what a gift you are to the world!). You already know that Satan is clever and tricky. Dont let him take from you what God has in store for you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Maybe what you are going through is a test in some way??? If I was a hater, I wouldn't be speaking the truth in love. As I said at the beginning, lay down your personal thoughts on this matter if you haven't already by taking it to God (to get a clear word from Him on this), and keep pressing on. On the other hand, Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. If you are indeed moving in a wrong direction in how you are dressing or doing things, Satan is just waiting for an opportunity to pull down what God is trying to build in your life.
