I am currently rewatching the series and reached end of Season 3 so far. It's so amazing to see all the little moments between them you would never catch the first time . It's so subtle that you only notice them if you are really paying attention and look for it while binge watching. The writers of this show are godlike.

I don't know of that couple. I just know that Sam and Jack (Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping) were the perfect couple whose relationship had so much angst and love - it was breathtaking..and it lasted over the entire course of the series - 10 years.
I've got the entire series on DVD, plus the movies ... it's been a while since I pulled a season out randomly and watched it. Seems like I should start up again with the original Stargate movie and watch from beginning to end 🙂!
