A lot of strange things have been happening at airports and on airplanes lately.
Yeah, I was wondering where the heck this is coming from. It never used to be so frequent.
If you pay attention to the monthly TSA reviews you will realise that these events/weapons/unruly passengers etc are commonplace-its just that the media glom onto one event then run with it-millions of passengers travel in complete safety weekly -caim down happy New YEAR
It's weird. Agreed
@@timoakes450 Yes, they're commonplace, but they never used to be. That was the point.
Never was this frequent.
She has to be mentally ill. There is no way anyone normal would think they were going to leave that way without going to jail first.
It's a woman so yes
Wentv2 hispital..😅😅
She was able to book a flight. How do they function.
People ruin everything. You can’t go anywhere these days without encountering someone going off the rails. Thank god she didn’t do that mid flight.
I go all over the country. Ive noticed that most people are good. I understand your feeling though.
Ban her from FLYING forever
😂someone is coping
Ultra Karen
Doors won’t open when the cabin is pressurized, so no worries about anyone doing this mid flight. Also, “people ruin everything” isn’t what’s happening here. This woman clearly had a mental breakdown. When the brain malfunctions, anything can happen.
If you are this anxious about flying, please don’t ruin it for the rest of us. Maybe get medication next time if you have to fly.
My medical insurance claims have been denied for medication. I was told to tough it out.
Maybe it was her first time getting the panic attack?
Two or three tablets of Anti-anxiety medication is not hellishly expensive out of pocket. Benadryl has been used for anxiety and it is over the counter.
If she can afford a plane ticket then she can afford a couple of tablets of prescription Xanax or Ativan (alprazolam or lorazepam) to get her through a flight.
There are sliding scale pay clinics before anyone comes after me that maybe she can’t afford to see a doctor. And again, she could afford the plane ticket. Priorities.
@@__--__--__--__-- its possible but I dont know any adult who's anxiety suddenly came out of nowhere with no traumatizing event beginning the onset signs.
Whole situation seems strange. Im more inclined to lean towards a Schizophrenic or Schizotypal episode of sorts
People on meds fyi. Not an excuse. Dont know why they have an aviation analysis being asked when its clearly mental issues. Stuff is disturbing when "journalists" asking dmb q instead of using a neurologist lol.
These stories get stranger and stranger
facts & more frequent
BLACKLIST IMMEDIATELY.
Sometimes is scary to stay in confine place like aircraft. Sometimes i feel like running out too
Learn compassion and empathy stat.
@@river8760 you can compassionately and empathically decide on what can put hundreds of people in danger
@@prismaticmarcus The plane was on the ground and stopped. If the cabin is pressurized, no normal human being has the strength to open the emergency doors. So what danger were they in now exactly?
Couldn't agree more..imagine what kinda circus we'll have eventually when we start tolerating all these shenanigans in the name of mental health...we all got mental health issues....shiii mine is how to pay my student loan- but you won't find me acting up and putting dozens of other passengers in danger.
I’m glad she was taken for a mental evaluation. It’s possible she had a panic or anxiety attack. I’ve had them before and one symptom is feeling the need to get away, like out of your own body. A nice jog or brisk walk sometimes helps me alleviate the sensation. This woman may have been trying to do the same.
yeah, jogging works wonders on depression/anxiety problems.
a brisk walk helps??? Well, she had a brisk walk on the wing!!😅
She is dangerous and should never be allowed to fly if she has anxiety attacks!
I have mild depression and feel sad when the day is over cast.I walked 3 miles every day.Jogged and walk and it's help. Now I am happy and stressed free.I now love dark gloomy days.
People in front of her, people in back of her…… people in her “space”. She panicked and had fight or flight.
I’m 100% sure if she pressed the call button and told an attendant she was getting anxious, they would have accommodated as best as they could. Climbing out on the wing is unacceptable
Which should make it clear this woman was not thinking logically. Clearly there is something wrong.
Wait a minute. I just realized that those safety videos and brochures don’t actually say that you’re not allowed to open the door unless under a specific circumstance. Also the reporters got sidetracked and forgot all about the lady on the wing
You get your own safety briefing when you're sitting in that row
Common sense would allow you to know better. Ignorant people.
And you must verbally say YES that you understand, and you can ask to be placed in another seat if you are unable or unwilling to assist with a crew instruction during an emergency.@@prismaticmarcus
that's nbc for ya ! gaslighting
@@trh2-f7v At NBC, we take gaslighting very seriously and will be initiating a thorough investigation. Here's Tom with the weather.
doesn't look like her first time. She seems to know her way on that wing.
She saw a gremlin on the wing
She was the gremlin.......on the wing.
It's such a great film
Work on life. Not comedy. You're failing both.
People who might struggle from being inside a small space get yourself help accept there is something wrong and get medicated don’t risk others life too ! Ridiculous
So she just popped open the emergency door to exit? I hope they charged her extra from "Express Deboarding priority" as most of these airline service like to change extra for every little perk that they give our.
"Safety and security..." Really? Doesn't appear so lately...
Safety and security? They were probably boarding the plane!!! No one was near her to stop her. A few fas can't watch everyone every second during boarding. Woman had plenty of room next to her seat to open that window.
How u figure? Take off shoe and full body scan already. This is ALL because some "smart" "a" put something in shoe...to test security at airport like the recent lady stowaway...
“Education and Talent” Really? Doesn’t appear so lately from people like you…
Do some research first buddy, aircraft are more safer than anything else, 1 in 16 million chance, pipe down and head back to school
@@habibi_bestpilot Okay "buddy." I'm referring to the spate of security lapses of late. Folks skirting the boarding process put in place to prevent stowaways, etc. Okay "pal?"
Is the wing damaged by walking on it the aluminum is thin and the wing should never be walked on maybe 100 thousand in damages or more
What about the person who died in the landing gear. Plane started in Brazil, landed in Chicago at O'Hare, and was discovered in Maui after a non stop flight.
That person is banned from flying now.
Honestly the most shocking part about this isnt the breach of TSA Security, its the fact that someone managed to find a free seat when airlines intentionally overbook every flight, which should be illegal. Name one other industry that can legally sell something it doesnt have.
Politics.
@howardvenze9956 I'm not sure what anything that I just said has to do with politics... explain yourself
Finance

Banks
I hope she is ok and anyone else reading this ❤
😂
@@yodude9624lol
She’s reading your comment in jail.
Honestly, millions and millions and millions and millions of people travel without a single incident.
Just 4 hours ago South korean airline just crushed the landing gear didn't work i think it was boeing 737 800.
Until now
That’s the bs they sell people as the reasons to trust air transportation. The proper scale should be THE PROBABILITY OF SURVIVAL.
@@anm3037 were you dropped on the head as a baby many times? The bs is you not getting education, 1 in 16 million of planes crashes and 1 in 5000 of car crashes, imbeciles smh
@@anm3037 Special kid
could get injured with this scary move
NOT A STEP
Ban her from flying
I'm done with the airlines it's getting like NY Subways
Well I can think of another reason to open the hatch. You are stuck on a tarmac for 4 hours and start to have heart attack symptoms and no one on board can help you. There are plenty of medical emergency reasons other than just a full evacuation
You are on a plane with no flight crew? On a flight 2 yrs ago when a man had issues and the crew not only assisted, but likely saved his life.
@happytravels5487 "and no one on board can help you" Like I said THAT would be a caveat to me opening the door. (A lot of time they ask if anyone on board has medical training ..the crew does not but can help.in certain situations..so if NO ONE CAN HELP)
@breezeh1127 I see, my comment was in reply to "you are stuck on the tarmac for 4 hours". If there is no one to help you, have to help YOURSELF. Unless you are on a very small aircraft with every person unable to assist, very very unlikely no one to help, cheers.
@happytravels5487 Unlikely, true. But it can happen, and that would cause desperation for anyone. Cheers.
Karen's in a hurry.
You need Jesus. Also no apostrophe is needed here. Karens, Chucks, Toms.
😂
Loading up and boarding is all crazy. Off boarding process is a mad house. People need to be more respectful and sane with each other.
This is why I don’t fly anymore . People have lost the ability to reason .
At least she got taken for a Mental health evaluation. Something is obviously wrong with her.
And much of America society!
She really thought she was in the twilight zone movie
Airlines are having some extremely bad optics lately
Let me get this straight,,, a passenger can open an emergency door while in flight, or on the ground?
I thought there were built-in safety measures to prevent that.
Um emergency door need to be openable on the ground, you don't want interlocks that could jam it in case of emergency
Because of the way pressurisation and the mechanism works ( requires a pull first before being pushed out), it cannot be opened in flight at higher altitudes due to higher pressure needing to be overcome inside the aircraft. It can be opened at lower altitude including on the ground ( yes, it is meant to be opened on the ground, obviously or floating in a body of water as has happened a few times) with less effort.
The incident happened earlier this year, the flight was already coming to land and the pressure was equalising, hence it could open.
I love the comment below, “People ruin everything…”. Speaks for itself.
“There is a colonial woman on the wing, there is something they’re not telling us!”
Make sure the plane was not damaged....make sure the plane is ok for the next flight.
Scary who's minding the store. Shows lack of leadership.
Only in America 😢
At this point, America should just have a FAFO law.
Nightmare at Zero Zero Thousand Feet.
It's "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet," but yeah -- I got the _Twilight Zone_ reference.
Serious what is wrong with people anymore!
It’s one of the many reasons I will no longer take a plane, unless I absolutely needed to. Too many people are nuts today.
Start with the parenting!
Greed, lgbt and lack of parenting, social media, I could go on and on and on and on
@ parenting at this point would not help this
She must have been a resident of the Seattle area, thinking it was ok to sit and chill on the wing of a plane 😂
I don’t get it.
I was planning on flying this month but now I’m not going to
Good❤you’re better off at home❤ it’s a shame what this country or world is coming to😢
The WEF's plan is working
TSA provides only the illusion of security.
Didn't someone died recently by passing through the wings or holding on through latch where the wheels are on an airplane
My god! It’s like having to watch a bunch of babies!
Yeah, there was a male baby asked a lady flight attendant to physically take him to the restroom....NO he wasn't injured, nor walking impaired, nor old (in his 20's) nor fat.
Babies are easier
I've heard tsa has lowest requirements for entry
Why do they do that 🤦🤦🤦we all can easily findout or already know the only way that door should've been opened . She asked you specifically "why do you think" the door was opened 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
Having worked for an airport operator I can testify that a lot of people have some sort of phobia associated with flying and get stressed out. This can result in either strange behaviour or excessive alcohol consumption.
Pilot 1: Booo, you don’t have a wingman!
Pilot 2: … Who needs a wingman If I have wingwoman
I immediately thought of the movie Bridesmaids
Automatic no-fly list!
So such anxious passenger can open door mid air ?
Prayers for everyone's safety
What is the point of having the TSA and carry-on restrictions if some people can ignore it?
Huh? How is that relevant to this video?
Economy plane tickets are way too expensive for what you get and don't tell me it's about the environment
Thats dangerous...lI thought personnel in the airport are that strict and yet they are being fooled by these bad passengers.
Delta: “ There are no matters more important than money and profit:..”
This is Alaska Airlines lady, delta is better than you and your ancestors combined, keep crying
Well... the next time she flies... they won't be letting her sit next to the emergency exit. lol
Body in wheel well, lady jumping out emergency exit, two crashes in the last three days
Adding security? What are they doing to solve the issues causing hours long delays leaving people on planes with no services... nothing
I don’t blame her she is checking for birds before departure 😂
Taken to a hospital for evaluation? Many of us can do that right on the spot.
do you realize that Spirit Airlines is the safest mainline in America and hasn’t had a major incident since the 1970s? You can say all you want about the more expensive mainlines but they put customer service first over your safety like a mask. Now, in regards to Alaska, they’ve had so many incidents to count just from last year alone. One pilot threatened to down an entire plane inflight!
Do you research folks.
While airports are busy tightening security controls for possible weapons & people with criminal intentions, there is no evaluation of the MENTAL HEALTH of passengers.... and -- given the numerous reports of passenger 'misbehaviour' - airliness should perhaps start looking into this!
So airlines would do this how?
This will never happen in Singapore International Airport.
Yea… definitely she needs to be evaluated 🤦🏻♀️
I'm curious of her last name is it Ferguson or inslee by chance?
It in the food we eat! Soilent Green. Tell the people, got to tell the people.
It's way better than Soylent Brown, so quit yer complainin'.
Was she not patient enough to wait for the engien to turn off . Jesus lady
Desperate individuals
People are getting away with a lot on airlines these days. Why? Because wages are low at airlines and employees don't care. Raise wages and they'll improve.
She's running away from the orbs.
Pretty awful that, without one hint of any relevance from the reporter or aviation expert that there was any indications prior to the discovery or actions of the passengers mentioned, the go to is “report suspicious behaviour”, as if anyone with any differences are not already harassed enough (eg the little girl now held in (dangerous for children) immigration facilities because some person looking for SoMed hits made a fuss because she didn’t speak English).
People are losing their minds
ARE LOSING IT???
TF IS HAPPENING LATELY 🤦🏻♀️
Its dea-tail not de-tell
The airline crew is obviously not paying attention or checking tickets
This is end capitalism. Where it eats itself. Not paying employees enough to care.
Why would checking tickets be an issue here? The story was about someone who used an emergency exit to deboard a plane early. Pay attention.
Rude and aggressive. Thats all. She is whats important.
Bingo
Anything goes in the PNW. The only time I got (almost) scammed on Amazon, guess where the individual was! The police were very helpful, though.
Ban her 2 ever flynon anybairline..
I just figure that things like this happens all of the time & most of them aren’t reported at all. The airlines have to keep their BBB’s high…
“Mental evaluation” vs. jail time and earning a blacklist slot. Must be nice. We all know this is only afforded to a select few.
She was doing a video for youtube
This is something I would do, because I’m afraid to get on a plane. Don’t just her because people go through mental problems.
She will have to pay for that minor overhaul of that airplane.
1:17 homeless lady from Home Alone 2
People just don’t give af anymore. The social media generation gone wild!
Meanwhile 2 Boeing incidents today
Womp womp cry about it, keep crying, Boeing doesn’t care and they receive better education than you
Thank God she didnt do it while in the sky.
There’s a gremlin talking the engine apart
She wants to evacuate by herself.
Twilight zone William shatner. Does anybody remember that
That still freaks me out . Imagine seeing that in your window at altitude
@arthurbrumagem3844 scary thought. Nobody believed him because he was in a mental institution getting rest. And only he knew the truth. It took me a few times to watch it to really understand it. But I've watched it more than a few times now.. and it is freaky
I refuse to fly unless it's a true emergency. You couldn't pay me enough to be a flight attendant and babysit grown folks on an airplane. People are seriously lacking home training, emotional regulation, manners, and Jesus.
So we got 2 dead stowaways and now this. What is going on....
These door should entire lock with two people opening it can easily be open with one person what happen if your already flying??
Get an expert in planes to explain a psychological crisis😸
Weird people
Jail?
Why always weird things happens in Alaska airlines???
Airport security is just theater...it seems.
Aviation analysis? For a mental individual? Is this journalism?
