I feel the shield throw should have some light auto tracking if you're within a certain cone angle of a target, so even if they move slowly one direction the shield will actively curve to hopefully hit the target. I will say the bouncing is a lot more reliable so they succeeded with that much.
Seriously. My sword will track to the wildest targets that aren't even on my screen while I'm trying to sword skate around the map, but my shield throw can't even hit something right in front of me.

Meanwhile Howl of the Storm on Stasis Titan has been bugged since Final Shape released along with a couple other things having to do with Prismatic interactions that were supposed to work according to Bungie but dont.
they really should make shield throw behave like threaded spike just not much chaining but should return and a timely catch refunding some melee energy

Honestly, it feels like Second Chance is the best void titan exotic right now, just for the overshield extension and generation for offensive bulwark. I love controlled demolition, don't get me wrong, but bastion, second chance and a repulsor brace + destab guns just gives SO much nade uptime. Nade uptime means volatile uptime, means overshield uptime with repulsor brace which means more nades. It feeds into itself super well.
thats not saying alot, the exotic itself is still very mid, its main probably is it doesnt feed itself, the melee regeneration shield be with everyshield hit imo, instead of tying it to champions, but void only has two exotics for general gameplay enhancment, so yea its the best for void titan because it doesnt have any competetion
@douglaswalker7707 I honestly only use it for overshield extension, and with destab, nades and repulsor brace I can usually keep my overshield and volatile up long enough for me to have it back. Don't get me wrong it IS mid, but it's the only void exotic with a gameplay loop that actually feels good to use lmao

Those shields are only really there to give you an overshield if you don't have one by your barricade or your weapons. It doesn't sound like it's doing much, but always having a shield handy when you need it is really nice. Run the magnetic grenade, offensive bulwark and bastion + the fragment where grenade kills give you volatile rounds. You'll COOK.
What a trip this game is I spent atleast 4 hrs trying to use the fireteam finder to run a gm an I just couldn't to save my life get a team but just as I was ready to beat feet finally got a solid squad 3 outbreaks and a 17 min or so run an for me personally one of the things that truly motivates me is completing every gm flawless an I would have totally forgiven myself if I couldn't manage this week but outbreak an disorienting gl paired with a envious an bait an switch edge transit an my favorite warlock exotic since osmio dropped the strand chest piece is so nice good luck yall I was rewarded with the roll I wanted I'm a big fan of slice an having atleast one that's running it makes everything so much smoother
Collective obligation used to be one of my go to's on a void titan with periguine for GM's. Stun/shoulder charge was such a boss killer even before the buff. And back then you could finish and go invis with the one fragment. Now I run stronghold/Lament on strand which is just way more versatile and quicker. The new artifact mods basically let me add clear with Lament for free. Also one sword combo KO's the walkers.
This build is basically getting carried by collective obligation 😂 If you don’t have the gun, this build is as bad as any other prismatic Titan build out there
I’ve been a huge Collective fan since it launched forever ago. It was always strong but imo it had a hard time finding its place. Regular activities it was super hard to get it going because the void nades and melee would one shot anything. Then in master to gm it suffered from being a pulse rifle. I’ve always used it on void with Armourmutarium with Controlled demo, suppressors and weakening nades. One nade will do all in one go. I’ve used it this week and it FINALLY feels good in gms

The problem with prismatic titan in my opinion is I don’t like a lot of the grenade and melee options. I don’t like using thermite, shackle, or suppressor grenades and the stasis grenade is a meme. I like frenzied blade and shoulder charge but the others I’m not a fan of. So overall it feels pretty limiting for my preferred play style. And honestly that’s fine. I like that there is tradeoff for using prismatic unlike the other classes where it’s basically just better than regular subclasses.
Titan has some really fun exotics and aspects. Even a lot of the fragments go hand in hand with certain exotics. People just aren't crafty. I have some solid builds for which ever scenario I need them.
Shield throw should be strong like the Lucent Hive Knights when they throw shields, because 8n comparison we throw a cotton ball and they get a heat-seeking missile that can wipe a squad.
great video tiz! I never really liked collective obligation because I just don't like the gameplay loop of having to "store" the buff on an enemy to recollect it, but you definitely show that it is pretty potent if done correctly! ggs
I've been running the same thing but with ursa + star eater. super slept on especially if you were tired of 3x consecration lol. though it's imperative to say i don't think collective obligation is worth using if you do not have access to all 3 void debuffs
I like how you don’t always have the GMs 100% memorized and stuff. I know I don’t and it’s nice to see more raw and realistic gameplay. There’s players who can spend forever memorizing every possible spawn layout of every GM and stuff becomes semi orchestrated in a way. There’s nothing wrong with that and it’s “technically better” when the pure clear chance vs no clear chance is the only factor, but imo you’re more skilled than the people who have stuff memorized bc you are at their level doing stuff just like them (without the top of the meta builds as well) and you don’t know the GMs like they do.

Problem with these kind of builds requires raid/dungeon exotics, like the whole "OP Strand Titan" build required Navigator and MnK to utilize to its fullest. Luckily, I have collective obligation. I'm just getting into trying to solo endgame content and my max power level rn is 2005 with artifact bonus. Been trying out this nightfall on Expert with a primatic build but can't get through the boss fight. I used your solar bonk titan build to solo prophecy and spire of the watcher last season. Do you think bonk titan would be good to try and get the clear on this nightfall?

It's different not even close. Blind stuns unstoppable champions and makes normal enemies miss a lot of thier shots or stay stunned for a couple seconds Suppression stuns overload champions and lowers enemies accuracy, movement and maybe damage output(I will need to check on that later) in addition to disabling abilities and supers which Blind doesn't interact with

Honestly, surprisingly the Prismatic build I'm most impressed in this first few rounds of GlasswayGM farming has been Titan. Turns out it was 'underwhelming' in the campaign because its tools are built for GM, meanwhile the Prismatic Warlocks and Hunter builds have been.. eh. Been reviving too many of the Punchy Hunters. The Stasis Turret spam build shows up its limitations in GM, Arc souls have terrible range and can't actually plink with you and regen your nades, and charging the nade pops the Stasis turret in front of view, when you need to place it far away - classic pure Stasis does all this better. and Punch hunter... turns out the build feels better on Arc + Ass Cowl because you naturally have Jolt, the Prismatic version lacks this Jolt+Punch.
right here bud. What you want me to say? Sure its impressive bc any solo GM is to me, but it has nothing to do with prismatic titan and thats been the whole argument hasn't it? This is literally all void and collective doing 99% of the GM...literally nothing to do with prismatic. So what am I supposed to be blown away at exactly? Not to mention hes using two weapons less than 5% of the whole community has in the build....The fact is prismatic titan is not that great. Forbes magazine has article about it, reddit talks about it everyday, the commments agree, and even bungie has admitted its not that good and they're trying to figure out how to buff it. I"ve ran the GM multiple times today. On stasis, void, prismatic, and solar.... and prismatic was the hardest and worst one.
This doesn't prove that the build is viable at all. It's pretty much a collective obligation/suppression grenade showcase. You coul've achieved the same results with a consecration + suppression grenade build you're just being carried by the gun. Also who in their right mind would spend more than 1 hour in a GM chipping away at the boss's health. Cope harder.
I think he proved that on a team it is so much better, he just went in solo to showcase the build and explain everything the build does at a good pace without teammates ruining his CO loop. I don't think you need the exotic arms though, the suppression grenade seems to be much more important so you're right about that.

If he went with a team he would just get carried by them, all this "build" is doing is sit back, shoot with CO and throw suppression grenades with the occasional super/edge transit. @Oberon4 He can suppress almost every enemy and stops overloads and Wyverns. Have you played the nightfall at GM level? If so you wouldn't be laughing off something they can disable the strongest enemies in the GM. Also, the fact that it's a 'shoot and throw grenade build' is what makes it so good. It's easy to play and disables all enemies, there's nothing like it in the game in terms of controlling the battlefield. You really gotta get to the GM's boss room to really understand the strength of it.
@johnfanning3969 Have you played nightfall at gm level? I mean suppressing champs sure is important but I want to kill the boss at some point. Shooting it with a pulse riffle hoping I kill it eventually isn't exactly something I would consider "so good".

To be honest, if you are good enough you can solo GM with any build, I think soloing GM is more about patient, camping spots, what weapons you using and be smart
That’s what a majority of content is…… understanding threats and when to deal with everything. Rather than always running headfirst, obviously in other content you have more wiggle room.
Pretty much this. When you’re skilled enough at the game you can clear all content with whatever you want. Last season I carried lfg groups through moon battleground GM with Behemoth for fun.
I did try this in the nightfall, and it went pretty well... but i ended up moving it back to void. Sure I lose radiant, but I gain devour so I don't feel as punished if I dont grab a suppre from the gernade due to missing or enemies dieing. Plus, controlled demolitionist lets me give myself and my allies healing, and my sheild throw slaps hard when i get an overshield from sheild throw thanks to the other aspect. So while i enjoy the prismatic version i feel like I have more uptime on my abilities and buffs with the void version. Though when they do look over titan i hope the let it so controlled demolitionists his regardless the distance from the volitle explosion, and maybe make it easier to suppres targets, like let unbreakable do it. Honestly if unbreakable supressed I may use it a bit more on tiprismatic.
I’m glad I was able to get Collective obligation from Pantheon, VOW was NOT dropping it for me and before salvations edge it was the only raid exotic I did not own. It’s really awesome, I run it a lot since getting it with Gyrfalcon’s Hunter and it’s bonkers for CC.

Collective obligation has easily become one of my favorite exotics to use. Great job showcasing it! This season especially collective obligation has been great. I only wish warlocks had a better means of suppressing so I can consistently stack all 3 debuffs with void leech.
I'm not sure this is a solution, but I aim the shield throw at the ground in front of the target. The bounce seems to have stronger target acquisition than the initial throw.
Part of the problem I have with this exotic is that it builds into a kit that is so much less fun and strong than pre-nerf HOIL on void. Additionally, I never feel like this exotic is “integral” it’s more just like “nice to have” than “strong.” Arc Titan was busted but titans overall power has decreased significantly since then.
Destiny still has shitty balance more news at 11 Seriously tho the meta only consisting of a handful of builds is not a new issue. The game’s youtube space certainly doesn’t help with the dominance of said builds, but if they are literally the only builds you can do well on that’s an issue with you, not the game. Some builds will give you a FASTER clear, sure, but if you’re prioritising getting through shit over playing in a way you find fun, then take a break, because you’re burnt out.
Impressive that you soloed it. My issue with the build is how long it takes to actually complete harder content. Most of the gameplay is just spamming a primary. It's safe and effective, but not a very engaging and interesting playstyle.
Quick question: tizzle, if you don't have the raid exotic pulse, would a destabilizing round pulse be a good option, and what would be a good exotic to use?
Titans buffs/changes to be more than “the melee” class. We need something to give our class an actual identity, not just hey sometimes I’m really busted in the fact I can do a shit ton of melee damage. Highly recommend watching TDT’s video about the identity of titans
They said the buffed shield throw, but given they said Lance's and consecration would shatter stasis crystals and 3 weeks later still doesn't work. I believe the shield throws "buff" wasn't Implemented
Seeing this being run in GMs tells me that it’s definitely a build that gets more value from high end content, but doesn’t really excel in low tier content.
Honestly highly recommend switching gauntlets out for class mark with spirit of conductor and abeyant leap would be the best setup for this specific nightfall just because of overloads (yes i know im sick of it as well) use consecration with rhe class item and it gives you the easiest overload stun in the game, while doing heavy dmg and you can pretty much run a different loadout if you dont have CO personally the best way to run this setup would be to use outbreak with any surge weapons as youre secondary and heavy really. The only issue ive had with my setup is just survivability you can sacrifice drengers lash for knockout but then you lose add control but if you dont have knockout you can always run the fragement but then you also lose out on other benefits so its just a big conundrum of shit thats just struggling to work together. But a lot of builds work for the solo content. Its all boiling down to execution.

The hit detection on the strand warlock melee with the new warlock chest (antibarrier) has the same issue. It is like it has to check twice

The ornament for colective is a must if you want to us it the regular sight is so dahm ugly and takes up so much screen space
Stand halfway up/down stairs and keep close to the right wall/wedge. This gives you cover from the boss splash damage.

Turns out it was 'underwhelming' in the campaign because its tools are built for GM, meanwhile the Prismatic Warlocks and Hunter builds have been.. eh. Been reviving too many of the Punchy Hunters.
The Stasis Turret spam build shows up its limitations in GM, Arc souls have terrible range and can't actually plink with you and regen your nades, and charging the nade pops the Stasis turret in front of view, when you need to place it far away - classic pure Stasis does all this better. and Punch hunter... turns out the build feels better on Arc + Ass Cowl because you naturally have Jolt, the Prismatic version lacks this Jolt+Punch.

right here bud. What you want me to say? Sure its impressive bc any solo GM is to me, but it has nothing to do with prismatic titan and thats been the whole argument hasn't it? This is literally all void and collective doing 99% of the GM...literally nothing to do with prismatic. So what am I supposed to be blown away at exactly? Not to mention hes using two weapons less than 5% of the whole community has in the build....The fact is prismatic titan is not that great. Forbes magazine has article about it, reddit talks about it everyday, the commments agree, and even bungie has admitted its not that good and they're trying to figure out how to buff it. I"ve ran the GM multiple times today. On stasis, void, prismatic, and solar.... and prismatic was the hardest and worst one.
if you make a Build/GM video where less of 1% have the main weapon, it really does not make sense to watch it even though i like your content.

This doesn't prove that the build is viable at all. It's pretty much a collective obligation/suppression grenade showcase. You coul've achieved the same results with a consecration + suppression grenade build you're just being carried by the gun. Also who in their right mind would spend more than 1 hour in a GM chipping away at the boss's health. Cope harder.
I think he proved that on a team it is so much better, he just went in solo to showcase the build and explain everything the build does at a good pace without teammates ruining his CO loop.
I don't think you need the exotic arms though, the suppression grenade seems to be much more important so you're right about that.
@johnfanning3969 What exactly is so much better? His ability to shoot and throw grenades? If he went with a team he would just get carried by them, all this "build" is doing is sit back, shoot with CO and throw suppression grenades with the occasional super/edge transit. The build literally provides nothing of value that justifies using it over strand/solar titan. He's just a "I proved prismatic titan isn't a**" wannabe.
@Oberon4 He can suppress almost every enemy and stops overloads and Wyverns. Have you played the nightfall at GM level? If so you wouldn't be laughing off something they can disable the strongest enemies in the GM. Also, the fact that it's a 'shoot and throw grenade build' is what makes it so good. It's easy to play and disables all enemies, there's nothing like it in the game in terms of controlling the battlefield. You really gotta get to the GM's boss room to really understand the strength of it.
@johnfanning3969 Have you played nightfall at gm level? I mean suppressing champs sure is important but I want to kill the boss at some point. Shooting it with a pulse riffle hoping I kill it eventually isn't exactly something I would consider "so good".
@@Oberon4Obviously you haven’t played the GM. I would love to watch you go try to stand with this boss. It’s a 3 tap which is like a 2 second TTK. It’s a slow kill no matter what you run.

the titan rocket chest piece is so good for this GM. the calling + apex gets buffed and then I’m also using red death as well.
I run lfg and I find I cant do stuff like that bc I have to run overload, barrier, and a blinding gl bc people never have right mobs or builds.

To be honest, if you are good enough you can solo GM with any build, I think soloing GM is more about patient, camping spots, what weapons you using and be smart
That’s what a majority of content is…… understanding threats and when to deal with everything. Rather than always running headfirst, obviously in other content you have more wiggle room.
Pretty much this. When you’re skilled enough at the game you can clear all content with whatever you want. Last season I carried lfg groups through moon battleground GM with Behemoth for fun.

I did try this in the nightfall, and it went pretty well... but i ended up moving it back to void. Sure I lose radiant, but I gain devour so I don't feel as punished if I dont grab a suppre from the gernade due to missing or enemies dieing. Plus, controlled demolitionist lets me give myself and my allies healing, and my sheild throw slaps hard when i get an overshield from sheild throw thanks to the other aspect. So while i enjoy the prismatic version i feel like I have more uptime on my abilities and buffs with the void version.
Though when they do look over titan i hope the let it so controlled demolitionists his regardless the distance from the volitle explosion, and maybe make it easier to suppres targets, like let unbreakable do it. Honestly if unbreakable supressed I may use it a bit more on tiprismatic.
I’m glad I was able to get Collective obligation from Pantheon, VOW was NOT dropping it for me and before salvations edge it was the only raid exotic I did not own. It’s really awesome, I run it a lot since getting it with Gyrfalcon’s Hunter and it’s bonkers for CC.

Collective obligation has easily become one of my favorite exotics to use. Great job showcasing it! This season especially collective obligation has been great. I only wish warlocks had a better means of suppressing so I can consistently stack all 3 debuffs with void leech.

I'm not sure this is a solution, but I aim the shield throw at the ground in front of the target. The bounce seems to have stronger target acquisition than the initial throw.
Which is hilarious to me, the amount of times I've whiffed my shield throw by a target just walking left or right a little bit is nuts
Part of the problem I have with this exotic is that it builds into a kit that is so much less fun and strong than pre-nerf HOIL on void. Additionally, I never feel like this exotic is “integral” it’s more just like “nice to have” than “strong.” Arc Titan was busted but titans overall power has decreased significantly since then.

Seriously tho the meta only consisting of a handful of builds is not a new issue. The game’s youtube space certainly doesn’t help with the dominance of said builds, but if they are literally the only builds you can do well on that’s an issue with you, not the game.
Some builds will give you a FASTER clear, sure, but if you’re prioritising getting through shit over playing in a way you find fun, then take a break, because you’re burnt out.
Impressive that you soloed it. My issue with the build is how long it takes to actually complete harder content. Most of the gameplay is just spamming a primary. It's safe and effective, but not a very engaging and interesting playstyle.
Quick question: tizzle, if you don't have the raid exotic pulse, would a destabilizing round pulse be a good option, and what would be a good exotic to use?

Titans buffs/changes to be more than “the melee” class. We need something to give our class an actual identity, not just hey sometimes I’m really busted in the fact I can do a shit ton of melee damage. Highly recommend watching TDT’s video about the identity of titans
They said the buffed shield throw, but given they said Lance's and consecration would shatter stasis crystals and 3 weeks later still doesn't work. I believe the shield throws "buff" wasn't Implemented

Seeing this being run in GMs tells me that it’s definitely a build that gets more value from high end content, but doesn’t really excel in low tier content.
Keep making fun and high quality off meta builds (this isnt meant to insult I’m just known as mr off meta in my group of friends)
I have been killing overloads so hard with concentration with a hoil/contact exotic. It stuns them and chunks so hard

Honestly highly recommend switching gauntlets out for class mark with spirit of conductor and abeyant leap would be the best setup for this specific nightfall just because of overloads (yes i know im sick of it as well) use consecration with rhe class item and it gives you the easiest overload stun in the game, while doing heavy dmg and you can pretty much run a different loadout if you dont have CO personally the best way to run this setup would be to use outbreak with any surge weapons as youre secondary and heavy really. The only issue ive had with my setup is just survivability you can sacrifice drengers lash for knockout but then you lose add control but if you dont have knockout you can always run the fragement but then you also lose out on other benefits so its just a big conundrum of shit thats just struggling to work together. But a lot of builds work for the solo content. Its all boiling down to execution.

I thought they said they made the shield throw better for Final Shape? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I read something about it in the patch notes.
They said it's weightier and has an extra bounce but it's still trash. They just need to use the super version of the throw.
The reason the pluse not stunning overload proply is coz its anti barrier pulse so it might be conflicting with the overload
