As a noise music improviser myself, I loved hearing about playing to the film! That must have been so much fun. I'd also like to mention that David Rees's voice sounds exactly like Trey Spruance from the band Mr. Bungle.
I seriously have to have a Affleck series, if only for Gone Baby Gone. Legit 5/5 masterpiece. Harris gives the best scene I have EVER seen, as Rees says Affleck is a revelation, and it's as good a moral question film as there has ever been. Add in the drug dealer friend(the most real poor white town coke dealer ever) and Corwin......My god it's perfection. The Harris scene makes me bawl every time.
1:10:22 The "cosmic sadness" you refer to is called history, which we have a lot of in Europe. Americans can't really understand that on a deep emotional level, which is why I'm afraid the New York 9/11 comparison doesn't hold even a drop of water. In another few centuries, however, it might make more sense.
I don't know much about David Reese and he seems like a nice enough guy and is obviously a smart fella......but I can't imagine ever having to spend more than a few hours at a time with him🤣😂. He's a handful lol. This was a fun episode but it took me like 4 days to get though lol. Every 45 minutes i needed a breather 🤣lol
The rant about David Lynch's greatness at the end was glorious.
Yes indeed.

It's called nonsense. A place may feel a certain way but only because you know it's past.
