Can you teach them to find multiple scents (I would want to train for detecting Peanuts, but maybe eventually Search and Rescue scents)? 2. What age can you start this work with them?
@@faithtrowbridge4892 scent can be trained as soon as you got the puppy, no age restrictions on that. If you don't want your dog to be alerting on peanuts while searching for lost person, you probably shouldn't teach your dog that scent. If your dog is planned to search for live, start with that first and maybe in a year start cadaver. You can start multiple scents in they are for example explosives or drugs. There are 30 explosive scents that dog is tested on, a little less in drugs. Otherwise you will confuse the dog and you will never know what dog is alerting on.
