I find it truly disappointing to hear that. Numerous excellent short videos are available that effectively explain the main concepts and themes. Your initial comment accurately captures the impact NGE had on me when I first watched it. I would recommend giving it another try.
@@Suicynic yeah, but if I have to watch outside content or read wikis to get concepts explained that the show itself didn't bother to explain or introduce even, then that tells you a lot about the overall quality. Like I loved Eva, even if sometimes it didn't bother to explain what was happening, until the last like 5 or 4 episodes. The last 2 of the show are especially bad. Like 2 episodes of vauge and shallow simbolism while voicover repeats the same 4 voicelines over a png of a character, that has no relation to what was happening in the previous episodes just isn't good storytelling. And then End of Evangelion is cool and all and third impact is cool and all even tho it's kinda confusing, and then the ending happens and I'm like what. Like what the actual fuck is happening. Anyways. All I'm saying is that after finishing Eva and End of Eva I genuinely couldn't decide if it's well written or not, if it was good or not and if I enjoyed it or not. It was all just confusion.
what I like about this combination is that it feels like these are the theme songs of both V with never looking back being Songbirds music and its been good to know ya being Vs (and johnnys). both are tragic in seemingly diffrent with songbirds being this trapped hopelessness, a female voice crying out into the heavens begging for freedom from her songbird cage. wheras V is more of a melancholy depression to it with the chello and violin, as if V has already accepted that there is no changing their fate. Songbird is a crying bird begging for its life, while V is merely just a walking corpse waiting to finally rot away and die
How dare u not mention Jackie is a crime the only true bro in NC all others even jhonny cannot fully be trusted as they always want something from you, Jackie was the real MVP
When you think about it." Never Looking Back" really is Phantom Liberty's version of "Been Good to know Ya". And they both are depressingly beautiful to hear. 😭😭😭
This game , this world … is a freaking masterpiece. Can’t wait to play the second , third , fourth chapter ; reading all the books, watch tv series and anime. This universe can tells stories for decades
Try the role playing game it's based on if you're into Dungeons & Dragons, they just brought out the edgerunners kit so now you can have your own adventures in the NIght City of the game.
daamnn that wouldve have been fire raiding the tower with her they really should have done that as an ending if you help her go to the moon and then getting to use the blackwall pulse ability haha
V: (Backed up against the wall with a small army of arasaka units and mechs coming towards them) "Song, could use a little help here!" Songbird: "I've got this V!" (Blackwalls the armada coming towards V, they all scream in agony and collapse dead; as sparks of red lightning cause the mechs to explode) V & Johnny: "Jesus fucking christ..." (Johnny takes off his glasses and half bows in respect) Johnny: "Still think it was a good idea freeing our bird in a cage?"
I lowkey wish we got a variant of "Don't Fear the Reaper" where V tells Songbird about Mikoshi and they both decided to storm Arasaka together. Maybe a plot where she could pack her psyche into an engram to escape the Rogue AIs that are devouring her? It's an interesting idea at the very least.
"There is one aspect i failed to take into account" "Reed is not the only one i have betrayed" Hits harder than gorilla arms punching straight into your face.
Vincent and Valorie representing very different turnouts. Valorie sticking with the NUSA or copro Arasaka, Vincent going down the rebel path with johnny to either be screwed over, or be saved... or just straight up run through the front door as the top merc in all of night city.

the music in this game is just absolutely banger. and thats nt mentioning the whole radio shenanigans

imagine a theoretical scenario where male and female v meet up and team up... the sheer amount of destruction one V can do is scary, but two?
