Hey Sian, the skirt and shirt refashion at 32.51 mins - what about dying them so they’re more suited to your colouring? Dead easy to do Dylan dyes in the washing machine - I’ve done that several times.
52:02 you need to put evening jackets/ bolero on your list of things to make that beautiful red silk that you can't lift your arms in, needs a bolero so you can wear it to the opera or opening night of a play

Thank you so much! Behind me is my fabric collection that spans about 20 years! I now usually buy 5 metres of something like a viscose or cotton lawn if the print takes my fancy. If a fabric is on the pricer side I tend to only buy it if I have a specific project in mind and then I buy the exact amount needed for that project :) I hope that helps!
I can’t remember the name of the knit pantsuit you love…(does it start with an F?) would that work for a Star Trek ‘dress’? I’m getting ready to sew a new wardrobe as nothing fits. I have some started projects that are too big now and I’ll have to rework those. I’m setting up a new sewing room in my youngest’s childhood bedroom. Everything is at our other house in another state. I’m doing it as efficiently as possible and will have to be strategic about how I split supplies and projects.

Thank you :) I would recommend something from an Indie designer like Tilly and the Buttons or By Hand London as they tend to have better instructions and usually a sew-along to help :)

I have sewn a couple of big 4 patterns and it was fine, I was very surprised I managed to do these without any problem but they were easy ones so will probably start with the indie ones for that sort of dresses. I don't think any of your makes were a fail it's just the way that you want your garments to fit. If they're loose you think it's a fail but it's not everything looks great on you.
