All of Me - played on 2 organs/ Wersi Sonic OAX and Hammond A100 / Stefaan Vanfleteren

- This week I added a fantastic Hammond A100 tonewheel organ to my collection. In this recording, I just wanted to test the sound in combination with my Wersi Sonic. I played and recorded the accompaniment track first on the Wersi, and then experimented with the audio recording of the Hammond. I need some more practicing in recording accompaniment tracks, and some more experience with microphone placing, but I already gave it a first try. By the way, the "slow/chorale" function of the Leslie needs repairing, so you will only hear it in the fast mode :-)

That was brilliant Stefaan, I've always been a fan of the Hammond sound & play one my self, despite the excellent drawbar sounds on many modern instruments you just can't beat a proper Hammond played through a Leslie speaker. Love to hear more duets as & when you've got time to record some more.

Your duet was absolutely and wonderfully entertaining to me. I don't think I've seen this done by an organist on TH-cam. Instead of "All of Me" it could be titled "Both of Me". I hope you do this again. I simply loved the duet! Your mix of song and your rendition were terrific! I love that you incorporated the Hammond!

Wow Stefaan so great to hear you using the old A100 and it sounds great still . But it is really you Who can make it just sound so beautiful. Love the trumpet piano from the Wersi, a complete orchestra and back and forth you are so talented. Please keep playing for us. By the way for my first job I would trouble shoot the A100 and the aurora classic working for Hammond . These organs would come down from QA with a tag that something was wrong a mistake from the assembly line. The tag would identify the problem like stuck c sharp or no base pedal or??. We would need to troubleshoot the issues then return them to the fixed room where QA would then re verify the organ . Back then we were require to fix 3 organs per day. Anything else was a bonus. So after the troubleshooting it was play time. Again so wonderful to hear you play

I liked seeing the Hammond Keyboard you used for this performance. Both keyboards compliment each other beautifully on this recording! I think the Wersi Sonic does an excellent job in sounding like the Hammond organ when you use this sound selection. Best regards, Will Ortiz

Bedankt Tony ! De Hammond A100 heeft een interne luidsprekerset, maar geen Leslie. Buiten beeld staat een bijhorende Leslie L122. Er is echter nog een klein defectje, waardoor hij alleen ‘fast’ kan ronddraaien. Vandaar hoor je in de opname nog geen Leslie fast/slow veranderingen ;-)
I like the multitracking of the 2 organs ..you can have more real fun playing on the hammond and easy to work with
