Ok i got a 2012 xterra 4.0 standard trans. Im changin the engine to help a lady down the road. The engine she got came out of an automatic so im switching the flywheel n clutch assembly. But where the flywheel goes on the automatic, there's a big sleeve or something that sticks out from the back of the block that the standard doesnt have. I cannt install the new pilot bearing either with that in my way. Suggestions?
funny you shoud mention wheel nuts . a few years back i got a a lad to do front discs and pads . as i did not have the time to do them . he must ran the wheel nuts on with a impact . i had to snap 4 of the five studs to get the wheel off . lucky it happened on my drive and not the middle of nowhere
So what was making the pedal hard? Just changed clutch and gearbox and now my clutch is hard to press and wants to shoot back up that it’s hard to hold at biting point.. thanks for help!!

My problem is that somebody broke my cylinder head when putting back the fuel injectors when he screwed the screw too tight for the injector holder, big metal "V" shaped. The thread from cylinder head has been broken to pieces. Question 1: Cylinder bolts need to be changed at each detachment / change of the cylinder head? Question 2: Can you give me a list of torque per each screw from the cylinder head + injector screw torque ? Question 3: Can you tell me which Manufacturer of the cylinder head is the best to buy? a 2016 frontier v6 4x4 6 speed I'm about to buy with 25000km on on it, the clutch grabs at the very top and all at once. 1 is that normal for these nissans with a 6 speed to drive like a dump truck and 2 is it adjustable?

Now I have again broblems with clutch... cant belive that error what cause that is in flywheel or clutch. Previous clutch failure was that clutch wheel teeths was all broken!!! I think that this damaged gearbox shaft too and there is kinda step what dont let new clutch slide on gearbox shaft properly and sticks to flywheel when I try change gears. Is it possible, because i saw this old clutch and flywheel but offcourse i havent saw gerabox shaft when Nissan service doing last replace job. Is it possible that this gearbox mainshaft is damaged and causes next clutch failure? Sorry my bad english.

Hey Des, I've fitted a brand new clutch and its slipping, what could cause this? i removed the tranny again and theres no grease on the flywheel or the clutch itself... another problem.. its grinding when im changing gears. could a bad spigot bearing cause this? many thanks From Australia
You could have fit it too slack but i do not think you have i still feel it is faulty or when you say grinding when you change gears the gear box could be damaged

Nissan Qashqai 2010 accenta 1.6 it gives a clutch problem, the pedal just went down while I was busy driving and stays there without return. This is not the first time .can any one help

Hi Des I’ve a Nissan NV200 with 14k on the clock , just 3 years old . For over a year it’s been back and forth to dealers about a judder from 1st gear when pulling away , they say they cannot find anything wrong despite road tests with me and it’s doing it . However today it’s just had its 3 year service and they say ....... your clutch is worn out . That’s the juddering. It’s £1000 to replace and not in warranty. They say it’s either too much weight in my van , too heavy a trailer or I’m leaving my foot on the pedal . It’s none of them . I’ve only got very short legs so I have to lift my leg to push clutch in , so uncomfortable to leave foot in air , plus my other 2 cars and works lorry have no clutch issues . Trailer is for moving plants from allotment, few Kg not tonnes . And only a lawnmower and 4 tool boxes in back . If I go into a high gear and put handbrake on and try to pull away it will stall immediately. If I’m going along in 5th the revs are low but speed is ongoing , will reach 90 easily and keep going , pulls trailer without fault . The judder is only when pulling away in 1st , no other gear . I don’t believe the clutch is shot ? Have you any views ??? Dan

Gday bro love your videos I don’t think there’s anyone better out there love my Nissan Navarra had cracked head replaced in 2019 and is only now running rough noisy and blowing smoke timing chain wasn’t replaced I put a plug n play power chip in and a egr blank off plug n play mod and throttle wind booster controller to eliminate lag seems to work only up till 3500 rpm then cancels out losing power and blowing lots of black smoke then I cruise in idle for a few seconds it resets but my problem now is my clutch was done by a Machanic and is only 12 months old clutch is now slipping really bad so getting that done by another Machanic I’ll inform them about the torque settings and not to use rattle gun But my engine is my worry I wish I could bring my vehicle to you but alas I’m here in north australia Queensland 👍🏾
@@westyorkshireengineservice9160 thanks for your reply bro I’m bringing the car back to the same Machanic that installed the clutch and solid fly wheel conversion kit apparently the cba clutch kits are stronger than the exedy and so is the modified exedy called the dps 40% more clamp Cl here in australia any way I’ll keep in touch I’m bringing my d40 into Westco Nissan to get a diagnostics done for the rough idle and noisy tappet or injector noise at rough idle and acceleration also starting to show signs of blowing smoke on idle and stinks not a nice deisel smell

Use a torque wrench, don't use an impact gun, 4:41, the best advice in a loooong time, if only more people will realise that.
Over torquing clutch bolts wont cause the clutch pedal to go tight!

I have this excessive vibration through out the rpm range. From idle to 4k rpm. It gets worse at 2k rpm. Please help.

Does it help to hammer the engine first before hammering the bolt?

I use those easy outs best thing ever especially if you have 24 to remove where bolt heads have rotted away.

Usually a new clutch needs to brake in. It need city driving a bit.
Hi you know the clutch could be faulty.
Surely theres some tests i can do when the clutch is out?
You could have fit it too slack but i do not think you have i still feel it is faulty or when you say grinding when you change gears the gear box could be damaged

That's input shaft bearing buddy. Its inside gearbox. But when you put clutch in and you hear rattling that's throw out bearing outside of gearbox.

Hi buddy check the top tensioner you may have put too much RTV on the back timing plate so if it’s not getting enough oil that’s the fault
