Kids that grew up with their Disney DVDs watching all of the promos play out when Fastplay stayed on for hours late into the night have this song playing at the back of their head. Back then, every movie felt like an experience. The wonders that came to me after watching disney movies felt so much more powerful and inspiring. I miss being young, but I hope I can give my kids the same wonder that I had when i give them my old dvds.
I wish i could give my kids the same experience of the magical films i grew up with. Its a beautiful thing to want your kids to experience the happiness you experienced. Keep it up, thats a loving parent.

I'm a string player myself, and it is repetitive, but the piece is layered together to create something beautiful. I get this incredible feeling of ebullience every time I listen to it.
I guess it matters a lot whether you like the movie or not. This soundtrack has a very positive vibe, which vaguely reminds me the Back to the Future theme, which I love as well.
3 weeks ago, at the age of nearly 40, I was diagnosed with a mental disorder that I have apparently had my whole disastrous life. Since I began taking the meds, my life is rapidly improving, and this song has been playing in my head for a week straight. It feels like the theme to my life.
Awesome theme music, and one of the most enjoyable movies I've ever seen. Kevin Costner is a hero you have no trouble rooting for, and Alan Rickman steals the show with both humor and diabolical evil.
As a piece of music, this is pure genius. It hits all the spots - originality, natural, muliple themes, impressive and most of all tuneful. I would place it as one of the best all time movie themes.

It's silly, but I have even thought I would have it played at the end of my funeral as a message of victory over life's defeats, even death. And if you've heard this on Disney DVDs then you've SURELY heard the theme from Rudy, probably on the same DVDs' Disney's been using that bit for years.

This movie was the last conventional robin hood movie. Every thing after was either a comdy or tried to completely reinvent the wheel with it's story beats. I don't think we will ever see another straight up adaption of the Robin hood story in our lifetime.
If our King asked me to go to battle and for doing so granted me one wish it would be that we have this being played out by our accompanying orchestra on repeat!!! How can you not be victorious listening to this! 😀⭐️
In college,about 15 yrs ago,we had an all French horn undergrad/alum ensemble play this in tribute to michael kamen. It was the most triumphant sounding piece I've heard in a long time.

I heard this as the ending of an air show featuring the Thunderbirds and that was years ago. This was also the music playing as queue line music for the sky ride at Six Flags Great Adventure. Let’s not forget, it’s Morgan Creek’s theme and Disney used it for their blu-ray releases.
