You could do, The Sims 4 but Every Room is a Different Room, like you have ideas for rooms as usual and for the space you originally thought to be the kitchen you spin the wheel of rooms and it could land on dining room or bathroom and you have to make it work without changing any walls. I think that would be fun!

the children's room actually looks really similar to the room my sister and I shared when we were younger! Specifically when I was 13 and she was 10. It gives me "the kids are slowly growing up but they're still young enough to play with toys and have a giant vampire plushie" vibes
I feel like if nothing else those base game lights are perfect to have some light while building and you can swap them out or hide them in a bigger light later so it’s not dark
