When they tell you how much something goes for online tell them that people don't get up at the crack of dawn and drive all the way to the flea market to pay the same price they could have paid at home.
Plus they seem to forget that Ebay also guarantees they will work or you can return them for free, they charge the seller 10% plus paypal fees, and shipping comes out of the sellers pocket. So basically there screwing you over and cutting out the middle man (ebay).
This is the video games/toys version of American Pickers. You even got your own Frank. It's pretty cool. I went to college in the US a few years back and one of the things I really enjoyed was spending entire afternoons at flea markets.
When they compared to online price (ebay), they missed ebay and paypal fees...are about 20% of the total! So if you're selling based on ebay selling price, you must down the price for minimum 20%!!!
alexchere34 I don't understand those people. When I sell something, I check the online price and go down from that. Also, if people buy groups, especially large groups, a good dealer gives discounts. That is why I have repeat customers. I think the biggest problem is the endowment effect. People think they have a million dollar item when they have a $2 item.
I work at at a thrift shop and the people doing the pricing refer to eBay for their prices. One of the morons goes over eBay pricing. "It's vintage somebody will buy it." The people that are there looking for those things know what they're worth, so no they won't buy it.
Oh my god. 25 for all that He-Man stuff? God, I wish I was old enough to drive myself to flea markets before the big retro nostalgia wave hit in that 2012-2013 era.
Every person who has a hobby hates the resellers who work within their hobby. Every person who has a hobby will buy shit cheap and flip it for a massive profit while bitching about the resellers who work within his hobby. I'm guilty of it, too. I dig sneakers...and I hate sneaker resellers...but I sold some Yeezy 350 Boosts for $700 2 weeks ago.
+dizzle1119 Go cry to mama. It's called capitalism, deal with it. Might as well go raise hell in every single business that makes a profit. Don't partake in trendy moronic hobbies if you don't like the competition.
What are you on about, stupid? You commented on a 4 month old post that literally doesn't have a fucking thing to do with a word you said. You have the reading comprehension of a sack of hammers. Damn. Where did I even slightly elude to raising hell anywhere? Where did I bitch about competition within my "trendy moronic hobby"? I didn't....at all. Not even a little bit. In fact, my entire post can be somewhat summed up with the "It's called capitalism, deal with it" line you yourself typed out. You'd comprehend this is you weren't a fucking buffoon. I'm going to give you a bit of advice. If you're too goddamn stupid to understand the shit you read, you probably shouldn't try to start arguments. You should definitely avoid arguments with people who have about 80 IQ points on ya. People like you (folks of extraordinary ignorance) should pick & choose their battles. Maybe you should refrain from sharing your dumb ass thoughts with anyone above 7 years old. You for damn sure don't need to be coming at me with this stupid shit. Honest to God, your comment is one of the dumbest fucking things I've read in quite some time. I'm quite used to encountering learning disabled folks online, as the dumbing down of American is a very real thing...but once in a great while a person will come along who's so stupid that it throws me for a loop momentarily. Congratulations on being able to live through a day without choking to death on your own spit. It's quite an accomplishment based on the looks of things. I would send you a sticker or something, for doing such a good job, but I'm scared you'd choke to death on that instead. It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
dizzle1119 I said nothing that should set you off like that. I wasn't quoting you, I was STATING that you're complaining, and saying that you might as well (hypothetically) raise hell in businesses around your area for turning a profit, due to your complaining about profiteers. Anyway, does it make you feel better about yourself to talk like this to people over the internet? You can't deal with a little criticism, without flying off the deep end? You must be in a dark place in life. Hope it gets better.
***** Ummm, you did say something to set me off. Stupid things. No offense, but I'm not reading beyond the first sentence you posted here. There's no reason to. Have a wonderful day...
dizzle1119 Likely story, you read it all, and said virtually exactly what I said originally, until I decided to edit it. IE: "I'm not reading any of that". I did settle in and read it though, at least the first part. You blew your chance at making me think any higher of you as a person, with that pathetic response where you showed that you're a troubled, lonely soul whose hobbies are limited to collecting obsolete video game junk, who is mad because it is a trend, one that business minded people have smartly capitalized off of. Find a niche if it pisses you off so much.
He-Man and G.I. Joe figures are very hard to come by in my area that was a great score. I had some of those Snoopy Encylopedias as a kid as well. Another great Flea Market Madness video!
where the hell are these loot heavy swap meets? the ones around my neck of the woods are full of cheap hardware, knockoff clothes, and vhs tapes of overprinted movies from blockbuster.
yeah, when you ask how much and they tell you some online price its like working at a McDonald's and saying yeah, Burger King sells its double cheeseburger for 1.99$. JUST STOP IT AND GIVE ME YOUR PRICE!!
Thanks for the upload pat!! Can you please do these more often? I love them! And maybe you can use your phone for a camera? So it comes out in HD. Just an idea :)
Hey the Brian Pillman Tribute magazine I looked around for it when it was out but never found it. I did get the Owen Hart Tribute magazine though. Last time I checked the price on a sealed SNES controller it was in the hundreds.
Flee market madness is awsome...pats greatest bideos are these.. awsome finds funny comments..what more could u ask for besides a frank action figure...
I went to a flea market today and found an Atari 5200 with a bag full of games. The owner of the store got mad that we went through his stuff and told us to leave. So much for that.
PAy, do you ever resell things you buy at swap meets or do you keep everything? Cause for $1 each you shoulda picked up those street fighter 3 3/4 inch figures. rush n attack stage 1, got that as my ringtone
I sell at flea markets in Michigan, and I tell people the price items are on line or at Walmart because my prices are always cheaper! Although I don't sell much "used" items though.
Hah. Waterworld is the only rare Atari game I own. A few were shipped to Kaybee stores and I located it in the same bin with all the $1-3 games (this was during the crash). I distinctly remember it being $13 - by far the most expensive Atari game I could find at retail at the time - but I was in a collecting frame of mind so I bought it.
I want to see Frank as Grandpa Lou Pickles in a live action Rugrats episode.
The quest for the most brilliant TH-cam comment of all time is over.
A sealed SNES controller for 10 bucks... damn!!
I NEEEEEEEED MORE FLEA MARKET MADNESS
"Boy I wish I had a game to put in a vault"
Oh, Pat.
Roger Sherman paypal has no fees....other than to ship
***** Paypal does have fees. $.30+2% or 5%
Scott Simmons no it doesn't.
it does to me, so i dont know what paypal you are using lol
This is the video games/toys version of American Pickers. You even got your own Frank. It's pretty cool. I went to college in the US a few years back and one of the things I really enjoyed was spending entire afternoons at flea markets.
Rodrigo Dias have you ever watched the Game Chasers?
Mark Attenborough I just did, Pretty cool too. Is it supposed to mean that this is a spin-off?
Mark Attenborough BTW, thanks for the tip. I love watching this.
Rodrigo Dias You´re welcome. I hadn't caght you msg from the 19th. No, I don´t think this is a spin-off. Just thought you might enjoy it as well.
Big up to Frank for the SIU shirt! Go Salukis!
Also..
"I wish I had a game I could put in a vault"
heheh.
If only that seller knew how sarcastic that statement was.
"Oh a Famicom!"
"Yeah, it's the Japanese version..."
fkn wot o_0
I'm jealous of that HE-MAN lot you got!
"I backpacked this shit! At least less than one key good sir!!!"
Me and my son love watching your flea market madness videos pat. Always interesting to watch.
"Reseller Alert"
7:34 I was expecting a "Ooh look at the cute kitten"
When they compared to online price (ebay), they missed ebay and paypal fees...are about 20% of the total! So if you're selling based on ebay selling price, you must down the price for minimum 20%!!!
You just brightened my day Pat. This is one of my favorite series to watch.
I hate the phrase "that's what they're going for online" ok then, I'll just buy it online then instead of from you...
I told that to some body and they don't care :(
alexchere34
I don't understand those people. When I sell something, I check the online price and go down from that. Also, if people buy groups, especially large groups, a good dealer gives discounts. That is why I have repeat customers.
I think the biggest problem is the endowment effect. People think they have a million dollar item when they have a $2 item.
I'd just say that this isn't the internet, those people aren't here, I am and if they want cash then they should consider my offer.
I work at at a thrift shop and the people doing the pricing refer to eBay for their prices. One of the morons goes over eBay pricing. "It's vintage somebody will buy it." The people that are there looking for those things know what they're worth, so no they won't buy it.

I'm always here to watch Frank dance a shimmy at the end of the intro 😂😂
I like that He-Man toy lot. So much nostalgia.
I actually laughed to myself when you played the rush n attack music for the reseller hahaha
Every person who has a hobby hates the resellers who work within their hobby.

He-Man and G.I. Joe figures are very hard to come by in my area that was a great score. I had some of those Snoopy Encylopedias as a kid as well. Another great Flea Market Madness video!
Did Frank go to SIU or does he just randomly have a Saluki T-Shirt?
I always hold my breathe in anticipation during the issue waiting to see IS FRANK GOING-YEAH IT HIM FRANK!
HAHAHA the part where your like " lets build this robot it might come to life and start killing people"
Omg I remember that robotix I used to try to put it together when I was a kid.
10bux for a sealed original SNES controller?! Thats a bargain. Those go used for like 20+ bucks in Finland.
Watching for a second time, first on your website now on here. Thanks for the video's love 'em, keep it up!
Side Pocket, nice! Had that for Game Gear.
So weird watching these old episodes to see Pat scoff at incredible prices.
i like how Frank sounds surprised that Pat knows about Frank Zappa (R.I.P.)
Legos at 5:25! Legos are being sought after now.
I recently sold a box for LOADS
I've got to see the robot slapped together
Excellent as ALWAYS Pat...thank you so much!!
Nice Rush N Attack music with the reseller! You da man, Pat!
Iv been thinking about making a flemarket video but there's never good finds like these.
loved the wcw music at the end! So inspiring!
I love this series.
3:00 WCW wrestling, I found that recently at Collingwood flea market in NJ for $3, funny part was that it was ex-rental from Puerto Rico.
I used to miss the still reaction images when Pat got rid of them, now I just miss Flea Market Madness
6:08 Pat found some Heroclix.
10:20 snoopy sno cone maker.
I had one as a kid.
Be jealous.
great toy lot find
Someone needs to make a t-shirt out of the "what did Pat get?" screen
where the hell are these loot heavy swap meets? the ones around my neck of the woods are full of cheap hardware, knockoff clothes, and vhs tapes of overprinted movies from blockbuster.
yeah, when you ask how much and they tell you some online price its like working at a McDonald's and saying yeah, Burger King sells its double cheeseburger for 1.99$. JUST STOP IT AND GIVE ME YOUR PRICE!!
That Tripwere and Viper G.I. Joe figures were more recent re-releases.
Been following Pat for 9 years
I'm getting to where I like to play along on ebay, when Pat stops for something, I check it and see if it's a good deal or not.
Pretty fun actually.
its still amazing how many people sell this stuff by you. im lucky to see one or two tables with video game stuff, and its mostly ps1-2
My 19 yr old son used to have that Star Wars Mr. Potato Head, and I probably hadn’t thought about that for like 15 years.
Yes another Flea Market Madness to live on!
Thanks for the upload pat!! Can you please do these more often? I love them! And maybe you can use your phone for a camera? So it comes out in HD. Just an idea :)
Saving $85 on that robot is one hell of a deal man.
more flea market madness
when Frank shows up, hilarity ensues
A new flea market madness? Glad I subscribed!
Hey the Brian Pillman Tribute magazine I looked around for it when it was out but never found it. I did get the Owen Hart Tribute magazine though. Last time I checked the price on a sealed SNES controller it was in the hundreds.
Flee market madness!

I love seeing Pat getting a good deal, then feels like we all do too
I love fleamarket madness!
Did Frank go to SIU? I see the salukis shirt.
I went to a flea market today and found an Atari 5200 with a bag full of games. The owner of the store got mad that we went through his stuff and told us to leave. So much for that.
Pat bought everything except videogames
If you support Pat remember to disable any ad blockers on his pages. Lets hope he gets some good ad money from it.
@ 07:11 THE BEATLES!!!! :D
I actually prefer the super-old re-uploads. Gives me time to forget. (thepunkeffect, folks!)
I rarely see all this nintendo stuff at flea markets like you seem to come across easily.
And I agree with earlier comments: Maybe it's time to get there earlier. That was frustrating to see those boxed 2600 games already sold. ;p
Can't believe you got a sealed snes controller for $10. It's amazing how many people sell things when they have no idea what they're worth.
"That gut belongs to the nasty reseller round these parts"
Thanks, I was wondering where is came from.
Even in a +100k people town in Germany it's not really common to see NES games everywhere
Keel Haul pick up still epic
Awesome fea market madness as usual
PAy, do you ever resell things you buy at swap meets or do you keep everything? Cause for $1 each you shoulda picked up those street fighter 3 3/4 inch figures. rush n attack stage 1, got that as my ringtone
hey Pat, Are u coming back to jersey any time soon???? the meadowlands fleamarket is going on now.... I think?
that he-man lot is a huge deal
Terrible that so many people leave this stuff out in the sun week after week.
Lmao fuckin Pat following the reseller! Haha cracked me up
I want to see the finished robot so bad.
Holy cow ! Good deal on all these HE-man !
I guarantee Pat sells tons of stuff on eBay...the dreaded reseller!
I sell at flea markets in Michigan, and I tell people the price items are on line or at Walmart because my prices are always cheaper! Although I don't sell much "used" items though.
Almost got complete US dreamcast library :3
I watched this and it made me pull out Duck Hunt from my closet.
Had a castle greyskull! 😆👍
What’s so dumb is if you care so much about online sell it online if you bring it to flea market expect to to get less
That he-man lot was an ABSOLUTE bargain, easily worth over $200 worth of stuff!!!
Why don't we have this shit in Australia.
