    Thanks for posting- my parents grew up in that town, so did almost all my relatives . I was there through holidays and summers visiting. My parent's got married in a beautiful little church there. They left to live in L.A. im so glad I got to spend time in Ajo.❤

    What a beautiful video.. Beautiful little town.. I was born there in the mid 50's.. I also attended Curley Elementary School and Immaculate Conception Elementary School.. You brought back MANY wonderful memories of my youth,family and friends.. I,
    along with my friends used to climb "A mountain".. Once we were
    atop and had enough sight seeing
    WE WOULD RUN DOWN.. Thank You for bringing those cherished memories back.. "Hello" to all my friends from back then and now..
    ✌& 💘 TO YOU, YOURS and ALL

    Red pigment is life giving to paintings.

      The red pigment that came from this area was traded all over from what I am told.

    Neat little tour! I lived there for a short little bit, my house was right across from the school. At that time they were still renovating it to become artist lofts.

      It was a nice visit. The folks seemed friendly. I even met some of the miners that worked there back in the day.

    I'm thinking the dragonback features on the handrails were to stop kids from sliding down the rails. Thanks for the tour.

    I wonder were the spines on the bannisters there to stop people sliding down on them? Thanks for showing us around! I always enjoying seeing this kind of thing!

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Ian. You are exactly right. They were to keep kids off the banisters.

    Is it a artist town? great video

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Somewhat. I think they are working in a few different directions. They need to get some restaurants and places to stay set up. There were a few galleries as I walked around.

    Love your video then steps in high-school you said the spikes that look like Dragon it's there so the kids won't slide down the banister and hurt their self...... would you recommend a black person live there do they have black people there

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank for watching. It seems like a great place to live. I don't think anyone would have an issue living there. You would need an alternate source of income since there is not really any work in town or nearby.
