Everything is connected. There is no "away". When you throw things "away", they still exist and end up somewhere.

Indonesia, New Guinea, Philippines, Malaysia countries have fishermen that are horrible at throwing out things into the sea without care. They need to be educated!

The amount of waste humans produce is absolutely staggering. Just a few simple habit changes can reduce the amount of a waste we produce on a daily basis.

"Your problems are our problems" - I'm reducing my plastic consumption day by day. There's no other way.

Where is this coming from? I am guessing Indonesia. The US used to send plastics to China to recycle. China stopped taking it, so we started sending it to Indonesia. My guess is they just dump it in the ocean.

thats a good question. i really want to know how it finds it way into the ocean. does it get dumped by ships or is it really the accumulation of waste from all the rivers and strands where mindless ppl lost there stuff?

They do dump, or so I've read. That's why I've stopped recycling plastic and instead put it in the regular trash. That way it at least gets incinerated by a modern "clean" burning plant.

Mann. Wir müssen endlich das Problem angehen und wirklich was tun. Und eben auch die Politiker müssen was tun. Denn das Problem ist überall sichtbar. 😀
