This was supremely helpful! Made what I thought was going to be a tough task before a $20 fix in ten minutes. Thank you!

Thanks just what I needed. This is the third repair I’ve made on my 15 year old refrigerator. Easiest of the three as well.

I watched many of your videos and you are the greatest so crystal clear on how to do everything I appreciate you being around save me minimally 107 for a repair man to come out just to diagnose the problem. I’m getting on this project right now thank you so much God bless you.

Happens to be my model refrigerator. Water feature stopped working. Ice maker works. Ordered the water valve. We’ll see what happens. Good opportunity to clean the motor heat exchanger while the back was open. Thank you!

I watched several videos and decided to attempt this repair for my leaking valve. It was easy to do and your video gave me the courage to do it myself. Good job. My valve is old and connections are screw on so it was even easier than this video. Hardest part was the main water line connection.

I'll add that if you remove the water filter from the inside it should turn off the water to the solinoid valves which should eliminate having to close the wall valve if its stuck as mine was. Then after swapping the solinoid over just replace the water filter inside. All water goes through the filter first and by removing it, it closes the water line flow off to the solinoid assembly.

Good suggestion. Thanks. Sometimes those small water valves can be unpredictably temperamental.

Thank you! I'm getting lil ice nibs that sit at the bottom and stop the kick turnstile preventing more ice. I sorted it to the valve flow itself getting stuck. Was curious if I could do it or call a pro. Given so dang easy access.... yup! Going for it

I can see the water valve on my old 2004 Kitchenaid refridgerator (kssc42qms00) from underneath it on the back bottom left of the back panel, however there is no cardbord or access panel to remove to get to it. The back panel is one piece. How do to access it??? Thanks.

When I try to get water from the front of the fridge it does not come out. Would you say this is the issue?

Did you find out If it was the issue? I have the same problem, Regards.

@@carlosrosas9850 it should be the valves that are not opening to let the water through. Check the wires make sure they’re not loose also . Valves control the water flow to open n close so I don’t think it’s anything else
