    This video ended up being very long, and I still didn't cover absolutely everything I wanted to. To make things easier for you, here's a list of timecodes so that you can skip around as you wish.

      @@sethgibson4155 Thanks for the sub!
      Looks like louqe's website just says 305mm long so I did some measurements of my case and it looks like you'd have to get a tophat to fit that gpu. The top of it looks like it comes exactly to the top of the case and even if that fits you'll have the power cables coming out of the top too that definitely won't fit without a tophat.

    by far the best ghost s1 build vid i've watched to-date, and i've watched many, most of the other vids seem much more concerned with sexy video production quality than detailed step-by-step instructions, hints, tips, and advice, so i tip my hat to you sire, well done and very much appreciated... half of my components for my ghost s1 build arrived today and the rest will arrive tomorrow, this is going to be fun!

      Austin Huffman you’re best off not being too close to the mic so it doesn’t pick up all the noise you’ll get from talking and opening and closing your mouth. Also be sure to use a pop filter to cut down on the S sounds. Plenty of really awesome plugins for vocal processing out there too! A few small tips can completely change a vocals quality!

    great content and video production quality. the ghost s1 is definitely one of the best looking cases but i have decided it is too limited for high end cpu (5900x) and large gpu (rtx 3000). there are also some issues with top hat color consistency and flex.
    i want my next ryzen build (first build in 8yrs) to run as silent as possible with cpu/gpu temps below 75 under load.
    i hope more manufacturers build sff cases like this (but bigger and more compatible with larger cpu coolers and gpus). most atx cases look too bulky (and ugly) in my opinion.

    Damn your build is loud. How is the GPU noise? I had a Nvidia RTX 2060 Super FE and it was the loudest part in my build. I swapped it for an EVGA RTX 2070 Super XC, which is way more silent - in particular on idle as you can set custom fan curves. It can also turn off fans completely, but I found a bug probably due to thermal and space that makes fans constantly turn off and on. But putting fan speed just 30% as lowest makes it completely silent on idle With both my builds and GPUs I had coil noise, which was the most noisy thing about the 2060 Super also. Not sure if it's because of my PSU (Corsair SF600). My Build is now 35 dba on idle and maximum 55 dba on full load.

      Most nvme drives that don't already come with heat spreaders don't need them, they're mostly a gimmick included with high end mobos. thats not nvme... thats a sata in M.2 form factor

    • @alhuff_
      @alhuff_  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of the cheaper m.2 drives out there are sata which I honestly see as a waste, so I made sure to get one that takes advantage the nvme protocol and uses the full x3 pci link to get those insane boot speeds. I can link you a few options of these drives if you want

      @@alhuff_ nvme drives usually have only 1 notch in the connector, and sata have 2, but yes I'd like to see what's up
