I spoke to you on your "Daydreaming" reaction & i said it didn't matter that it wasn't your fave solo. I thought you were honest & i respect that more than SynfulBlaq's channel who said we sent them a Pop ballad instead of a Rock ballad. Btw i'm a nice Maidiac. Iron Maiden 2008 "Somewhere back in time tour" Twickenham, London. Best UK Maiden show ever imo :)
That was the same tour that my buddy said he went and seen but he caught on of the Canadian shows. I got the chance to catch their Maiden England tour and Legacy of the Beast tour.

It took me some time to love BAND-MAID. I would be a terrible reactor if I had a reaction TH-cam Channel hahaha

The key thing is you are respectful of the band. That is all I ever ask of reactors. Even if you don't like the song...at least be respectful. You were very respectful of the band so I don't understand why some are upset and this is coming from someone who loved the Daydreaming solo.
Taste is not facts. If you like something or not, it is just your opinion. Never apologize for personal taste. I for one absolutely love the solo, and is the reason why Daydreaming is one of my favorite Band-Maid song. When you said the solo did not quite do it for you, I applauded you for an honest opinion. Band Maid is my absolute favourite band for the past 5-6 years but I think it is appalling for any band maid fans to attack a youtuber simply because he didn't like one of band maid's songs or a solo part. There are band maid songs which I don't enjoy as much as others, especially when I first heard them, well, I still don't listen to them, eg The Dragon Cries. I think daydreaming is a good but I rarely listen to it. There is nothing wrong with someone not liking a song as long as they are honest, I rather to hear them telling the truth and have a civlized discussion with the viewers. Please be civilized, have MANNERS bros!! don't give the band a bad rep for having obnoxious internet fans.
My playlist has just started playing daydreaming. Yep, I'm a huge fan, and I admit that I can get defensive at times, but at the end of the day I just enjoy good music, and just like you I like some songs better than the others, and it doesn't matter whether it's good or not. It's whether the music (or solos) clicks with you or not. Honestly, comments are just comments. No point in getting stressed out by rude comments. Just like sns, TH-cam is the kind of place where you're exposed to different types of people. Keep being honest. I see many reaction channels just reacting to certain bands (band-maid, lovebites, etc.) just for the sake of getting more subs. Those over reaction and tell you what you wanna hear attitude... will put us off anyway.
Don't worry sir, i really appreciate your honesty. so if you don't click with the song, i think it's 100% your right as a music lover because people's tastes are different and not everyone loves the same music or song even though it's performed by the same band. Imho daydreaming is one of their best masterpieces but for me personally i prefer rock in me and endless stories more than daydreaming, even my No.1 band-maid's song is a song that is not very popular among the choices of many maidiacs lol 😆😆😆 Btw Thank you so much for reacting to the band sir, i really really appreciated it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I'm one of the ones that STRONGLY disagreed with your viewpoint on the solo and I actually shook my head after you said it, lol, but it in no way affected MY opinion of the song as it was YOUR opinion. It is what it is. As much as I love when reactors share my same viewpoints on Band-Maid, I'm smart enough to know there's a chance one of them will see things differently.

I'm a really old Yes fan and I can tell you that this stuff goes on with Yes all the time. If it's not the "classic" lineup then it's no good, Jon Anderson isn't in the group so no Jon, no Yes. Geoff Downes can't play like Rick Wakeman, in fact, no one can. It goes on and on and is one reason I quit Yesfans. Hang in there and ignore the really negative people. Haters and trolls have to hate and troll. Just to be clear I LOVE Band Maid and have bought their entire catalog. For me they're the best rock band on the planet. I told a reactor that they might be interested in Band Maid of they enjoyed Love Bites as much as they did. I was trolled for daring to interrupt a Love Bites reaction as if the Love Bites fans owned that spot. I didn't say what I felt like because I didn't want to escalate the situation. My folks were both music instructors so I grew up with classical and my father was an old Dixieland Band buff so I'm really familiar with that music. I won't tell you how many thousands of albums I have besides my ridiculous Yes and related collection. Just got the new Transatlantic and actually have them all. Try to give Flying Colors a listen, The Dixie Dregs, Mahavishnu Orchestra. I've been into ELP for almost as long as Yes and have all that. The Who. Sorry, I'll shut up. Now I'm going down memory lane. There's lots, lots more but Yes is my all time favorite on a pedestal but like you, Band Maid is the current one.

I wish some people would just respect opinions of others. It's an honest reaction, would they rather have a scripted reaction that's just catered to them? I love band maid and I love day dreaming but thats my opinion as well and I wouldn't force it onto others. I always like watching different reactions honest opinions on band's I like even IF its different than mine. Different people have different views. Just my 2 cents here.
This is the exact reason I left the reaction community and even quit TH-cam for a while. Toxic and aggressive members of fanbases that simply can't deal with subjectivity in musical appreciation and taste. It wasn't this particular fanbase, but there is a specific other that not only tried to shut down my channel, but succeeded in driving other reaction channels to quit, and in one instance actually physically assaulted a guy for a less than gushing "greatest band in the universe and every note is perfect" review. The guy even said he enjoyed the band, had albums, and liked the particular song. Just made some comments about predictability... A song writing comment... He was right too, the band have been writing in the same wheelhouse for ages. He ended up quitting as well. Honestly, if people need strangers to validate their music choices then perhaps they need to re-evaluate themselves. I'm also seeing it become enmeshed with identity, where being a fan and "defending" their bands becomes incredibly dogmatic, fawning, creepy, and cultish. Probably got a lot to do with lockdown messing with people's perspective, and also the growth of intolerance when it comes to any disagreement, be it sports, movies, music, politics, or even food choices... People need to chill. I'm sorry you needed to make a video about this, because it only reinforces the negative experiences I had with these psychos.
It's all true but don't make the same mistake and project ones character on others and describing a whole fanbase as toxic. These are all different people but some idiots make the loudest noise...

Sadly, there are Band-Maid fans out there that defend them to the point of lunacy. In the end, it only hurts Band-Maid because reactors stop reacting to them because they don't want to deal with the drama. I hope you'll still give Band-Maid a chance and ignore the crazies in the future. Concentrate on the polite fans that respect your opinion even if they disagree with it.
Every band has fans like that. I remember saying babymetal puts on a great show but I just can't get into their music. People started whining and defending them saying a bunch of nonsense. If everyone could just accept an opinion than none of this stuff would happen.

Seems it's pretty typical to at some point get confronted by overly dedicated/aggressive fans with these Japanese bands. Sorry to hear it happened to you too. A big reason why I took a step back from the Babymetal fandom and many people I know outright left it, is cause it was toxic, aggressive and cultish as hell. The Band-Maid fandom is pretty ok for the most part in my experience, although obviously it seems bad eggs also fit in that one as well. Mostly the worst thing I've seen the fandom do is have a habit of exaggerating a bit too much, but things usually don't seem to get very aggressive. I did check out some of those comments from that video, and honestly while rude & annoying, they were so biased I couldn't even take them seriously. They honestly came across more as silly to me. I dunno if it was their first time watching one of your videos, and they just thought you didn't like the band or something, but they really did come across as ridiculous and fortunately it's definitely quite rare for me to have seen such comments in a Band-Maid reaction video. About the guitar solo itself, personally it's not my favourite guitar solo by them at all. I don't think it's over the top for the song either, but I can see how you might think that if you listen to the song in too much of a "ballad mode" mindset.
Don’t pay attention on haters. Life’s too short. I love everything from Band Maid and Daydreaming is my favourite rock ballad. But it’s my opinion. Some like more Wonderland or About us. It’s their opinion. Daydreaming is a song for ages.
I think most folks were pretty nice about it. Yeah some were mad about what you said, but don't overreact (hey, that could be a new genre of YT - "overreaction videos!"). You're fine, dude - not worries. Hopefully I'm one of the folks you think were nice about it. The only point of dissent I'll have to make is that I still don't think it's possible to have the same musical experience pausing than listening all the way through. Maybe I'm wrong though, and I'll close out by saying that you can be truly obsessed with a band (yep, I am) and still be decent about giving feedback. BAND-MAID fans are very passionate. There's an end of a solo that sounded a little off to me. Not even a whole solo, just a couple of notes. Now I love that part of it, and I can't picture it any other way. It may have even been a mistake, who knows. But now I love it, mistake or not.
Some people think their subjective opinion is objective fact, which is delusional. The ironic thing is that their _entire worldview_ is actually wrong: nobody's all-knowing with perfect perception (and even if somebody was, it wouldn't be Joe Schmoe commenting on a YT reaction). Don't let them get you down, they have issues with reality.
I have to agree that you are coming into each song blind. You are going off pure 1st time reaction..I don’t want you to blow smoke up our butts and just praise everything. And if you do speak on something you are critical of you really do explain why, which gives us room for good conversation..toxic fandom is never good and really ruins it for me because they are such a small part but can give a negative impression of a really good and loyal fandom in general and I’m sure a band would not want that kind of person as a fan anyway..I know Band-Maid watches most reactions and I’m sure embarrassed by such toxicity. Keep doing what you do! I found Daydreaming a grower, but the other way round. I liked the solo, but wasn't immediately sold on the rest. Kanami's solos can be short. They are always about improving the song, not just a "look how fast I can play" bit of twiddling than many bands seem to slip into lately.

First of all its your channel and you call it as you see fit. I dislike trolls regardless of what channel i happen to be watching. There are going to be negative people no matter where we go but keep in mind that it is just "some" that get triggered or try to trigger others and they do not speak for the masses. I personally try most times to ignore negativity and not give oxygen to troll comments. To be honest, I didn't expect you to like "About Us" and was pleasantly surprised when you did. I was also surprised when you didn't like the solo in "Daydreaming" but I totally get where you're coming from and I respect the hell out of that opinion. Totally valid. So keep up the good work. FYI, I may be a Madiac, but I've seen Iron Maiden in every decade since the early '80s, including their last show in NY.

Actually, the most unhinged fan (Mr. ALL CAPS) went off on the band on IG about 3 or 4 weeks ago so you probably avoided the worst character by chance. He went on some kind of ALL CAPS rant about the band actually charging money for their services or some crap, so he doesn't post wild ALL CAPS stuff all over the place anymore. It's the internet. There are loonies out there. If it was me, I would just delete disrespectful comments or block them and be done with it. Ain't nobody got time for that.
I've never seen your channel before, but I stopped the moment you said you felt the solo was out of place. Don't apologize. You are not the first one who doesn't understand why that solo is there. It is there to express the desperation in the song. It is the culmination of what and how Saiki is singing. After you hear the song a few times and understand its momentum, you won't be able to imagine it without that solo.
I agree there was some rude comments but I could only find 2 Ikribu and LA Walker (I'm not about outing them outing/ them) out of 51 that where posted unless you deleted some. If you can give me specific bands that I’ve done in the past that have a toxic Fanbase as well he’s name is Sam because a lot of European brands I haven’t done in a long time so I can’t really remember currently have the fans were unless you need something specific.

Yes is my favorite, but there’s a very special place for me for JS Bach, also Chopin. Band-Maid is my current favorite band. I have a lot of bands in my rotation. Take care.

My folks were both music instructors so I grew up with classical and my father was an old Dixieland Band buff so I'm really familiar with that music. I won't tell you how many thousands of albums I have besides my ridiculous Yes and related collection. Just got the new Transatlantic and actually have them all. Try to give Flying Colors a listen, The Dixie Dregs, Mahavishnu Orchestra. I've been into ELP for almost as long as Yes and have all that. The Who. Sorry, I'll shut up. Now I'm going down memory lane. There's lots, lots more but Yes is my all time favorite on a pedestal but like you, Band Maid is the current one.

Mahavishnu Orchestra are also between my favorites beside Return to Forever, Chick Corea and all his incarnations, Billy Cobham, Mike Oldfield, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Kitaro, Isao Tomita, Spyro Gyra., Sonic Youth, Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, from the big band music Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington , Benny Goodman, Count Basie, etc. A lot of fun really .
I wish some people would just respect opinions of others. It's an honest reaction, would they rather have a scripted reaction that's just catered to them? I love band maid and I love day dreaming but thats my opinion as well and I wouldn't force it onto others. I always like watching different reactions honest opinions on band's I like even IF its different than mine. Different people have different views. Just my 2 cents here.
Being rude about other people's music tastes is pretty silly. The UberFan's need to keep some perspective.
This is the exact reason I left the reaction community and even quit TH-cam for a while.
Toxic and aggressive members of fanbases that simply can't deal with subjectivity in musical appreciation and taste.
It wasn't this particular fanbase, but there is a specific other that not only tried to shut down my channel, but succeeded in driving other reaction channels to quit, and in one instance actually physically assaulted a guy for a less than gushing "greatest band in the universe and every note is perfect" review. The guy even said he enjoyed the band, had albums, and liked the particular song. Just made some comments about predictability... A song writing comment... He was right too, the band have been writing in the same wheelhouse for ages.
He ended up quitting as well.
Honestly, if people need strangers to validate their music choices then perhaps they need to re-evaluate themselves.
I'm also seeing it become enmeshed with identity, where being a fan and "defending" their bands becomes incredibly dogmatic, fawning, creepy, and cultish.
Probably got a lot to do with lockdown messing with people's perspective, and also the growth of intolerance when it comes to any disagreement, be it sports, movies, music, politics, or even food choices...
People need to chill.
I'm sorry you needed to make a video about this, because it only reinforces the negative experiences I had with these psychos.
It's all true but don't make the same mistake and project ones character on others and describing a whole fanbase as toxic. These are all different people but some idiots make the loudest noise...

Sadly, there are Band-Maid fans out there that defend them to the point of lunacy. In the end, it only hurts Band-Maid because reactors stop reacting to them because they don't want to deal with the drama. I hope you'll still give Band-Maid a chance and ignore the crazies in the future. Concentrate on the polite fans that respect your opinion even if they disagree with it.
Every band has fans like that. I remember saying babymetal puts on a great show but I just can't get into their music. People started whining and defending them saying a bunch of nonsense. If everyone could just accept an opinion than none of this stuff would happen.

Seems it's pretty typical to at some point get confronted by overly dedicated/aggressive fans with these Japanese bands. Sorry to hear it happened to you too. A big reason why I took a step back from the Babymetal fandom and many people I know outright left it, is cause it was toxic, aggressive and cultish as hell. The Band-Maid fandom is pretty ok for the most part in my experience, although obviously it seems bad eggs also fit in that one as well. Mostly the worst thing I've seen the fandom do is have a habit of exaggerating a bit too much, but things usually don't seem to get very aggressive. I did check out some of those comments from that video, and honestly while rude & annoying, they were so biased I couldn't even take them seriously. They honestly came across more as silly to me. I dunno if it was their first time watching one of your videos, and they just thought you didn't like the band or something, but they really did come across as ridiculous and fortunately it's definitely quite rare for me to have seen such comments in a Band-Maid reaction video.
About the guitar solo itself, personally it's not my favourite guitar solo by them at all. I don't think it's over the top for the song either, but I can see how you might think that if you listen to the song in too much of a "ballad mode" mindset.
Don’t pay attention on haters. Life’s too short. I love everything from Band Maid and Daydreaming is my favourite rock ballad. But it’s my opinion. Some like more Wonderland or About us. It’s their opinion. Daydreaming is a song for ages.
I think most folks were pretty nice about it. Yeah some were mad about what you said, but don't overreact (hey, that could be a new genre of YT - "overreaction videos!"). You're fine, dude - not worries. Hopefully I'm one of the folks you think were nice about it. The only point of dissent I'll have to make is that I still don't think it's possible to have the same musical experience pausing than listening all the way through. Maybe I'm wrong though, and I'll close out by saying that you can be truly obsessed with a band (yep, I am) and still be decent about giving feedback. BAND-MAID fans are very passionate. There's an end of a solo that sounded a little off to me. Not even a whole solo, just a couple of notes. Now I love that part of it, and I can't picture it any other way. It may have even been a mistake, who knows. But now I love it, mistake or not.
Some people think their subjective opinion is objective fact, which is delusional. The ironic thing is that their _entire worldview_ is actually wrong: nobody's all-knowing with perfect perception (and even if somebody was, it wouldn't be Joe Schmoe commenting on a YT reaction). Don't let them get you down, they have issues with reality.
I have to agree that you are coming into each song blind. You are going off pure 1st time reaction..I don’t want you to blow smoke up our butts and just praise everything. And if you do speak on something you are critical of you really do explain why, which gives us room for good conversation..toxic fandom is never good and really ruins it for me because they are such a small part but can give a negative impression of a really good and loyal fandom in general and I’m sure a band would not want that kind of person as a fan anyway..I know Band-Maid watches most reactions and I’m sure embarrassed by such toxicity. Keep doing what you do! I found Daydreaming a grower, but the other way round. I liked the solo, but wasn't immediately sold on the rest. Kanami's solos can be short. They are always about improving the song, not just a "look how fast I can play" bit of twiddling than many bands seem to slip into lately.

Ignore the whiners. I enjoy when reactors talk about what they specifically didn't like in a song rather than BSing a 'wow' reaction. To be honest, I didn't expect you to like "About Us" and was pleasantly surprised when you did. I was also surprised when you didn't like the solo in "Daydreaming" but I totally get where you're coming from and I respect the hell out of that opinion. Totally valid.

Actually, the most unhinged fan (Mr. ALL CAPS) went off on the band on IG about 3 or 4 weeks ago so you probably avoided the worst character by chance. He went on some kind of ALL CAPS rant about the band actually charging money for their services or some crap, so he doesn't post wild ALL CAPS stuff all over the place anymore. It's the internet. There are loonies out there.
If it was me, I would just delete disrespectful comments or block them and be done with it. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I've never seen your channel before, but I stopped the moment you said you felt the solo was out of place. Don't apologize. You are not the first one who doesn't understand why that solo is there. It is there to express the desperation in the song. It is the culmination of what and how Saiki is singing. After you hear the song a few times and understand its momentum, you won't be able to imagine it without that solo.
I agree there was some rude comments but I could only find 2 Ikribu and LA Walker (I'm not about outing them outing/ them) out of 51 that where posted unless you deleted some. If you can give me specific bands that I’ve done in the past that have a toxic Fanbase as well he’s name is Sam because a lot of European brands I haven’t done in a long time so I can’t really remember currently have the fans were unless you need something specific.
