this is awesome, as someone who took care of my mother after a stroke, step father he had a larger way to go he had a heart valve replacement , he was so sick, he knew but wouldnt admit it nor consent to treatment. well smart or not whatever, well after all he went through i wont forget that once he asked me for a COKE A COLA i couldnt give it to him. he never drank that, imagine poor man who trained to be a jesuit priest he was so kind to me and my mother and brother. very hard working man. he get out of treatment after a trach and feeding tube and all he wanted to do was watch the "cowboy channel" i got him a nice comfy chair that would help him get upright all his fav snacks near him, i forbade him from cooking in the kitchen cause a few times he set empty pans on fire. then a house alarm, smoke, fire alarm, then he gave up and did whatever i told him to do, after my mother passed. these hard working elderly are just stronger than most of us could ever be, they deserve grace and respect and so glad you do that Lester.

I keep saying prayers for Sadie. Our cat was gone for 30 hours and came back home very late at night. I heard what was like a cat fight outside and went to the door. I think something was chasing him, but he made it to me. He slept for like 2 days and is not really so interested in going outside as much anymore. We had told him there were boogers outside! 😂😂😂 I was praying for him when I heard him outside. God does answer prayers. ❤️❤️❤️

So many haven’t been as lucky and to Donna and know that could be me terrifies me, especially having two boys and still raising them solo. Good morning Lester. Watched the live but there was times that my computer was lagging so decided to replay it again. Thankful that Jami said she made it home was waiting for a gate so we just have to wait till she states her drive to JL South was great. I have watched all the videos regarding about Sadie. Sure hope she comes home safe and sound. People just don't watch enough or long enough to realize you have gone everywhere between the two properties JL North and next door neighbours, all along the pasture fences and over to the truck rest stop quite a few times. Hope tomorrow you will be able to contact Animal Control, security or maintenance at the truck stop to notify them of Sadie missing. The video cameo addressing to Ms Donna was quite the surprise for her and you could tell she enjoyed that very much you talking to her and showing Roman and Rita. Thanks for sharing. These dogs will travel for miles. We had one in my state who went back to where she came from and it was like 50 miles. Do you think she would possibly go to J&L Longhorn Lester's. Maybe she wanted to go back to see all of her friends there.
I am thinking of when you rescued Sadie. She was in that lady’s pasture with her horses. I wonder if perhaps the same thing could have happened to her then. She ran off in fear and found herself lost. So she just found the nearest livestock to care for because that’s what gave her comfort. I can tell you that my dog once got away from my granddaughter and ran into the road and was clipped by a car. He ran away in fear and probably pain. I searched for him for days. Walking and driving the area and yelling his name. Finally one night I put out a shirt with my smell on it. The next morning he was in the neighbors yard playing with their dog. That doesn’t always work. But sometimes it does. I hope she comes home soon
Is it worth building another fence to divide the pasture (opposite the bull pen)? It would give more flexibility perhaps, particularly when dividing your herd. A gate could be left open if you wanted to give access to the whole field. The fencing with Tposts you could erect electric fencing? Costs though 😢

If Sadie comes back that little girl needs a GPS since she’s so afraid of weather and fireworks. My dogs are terrified of fireworks and I have to sedate them. It’s awful for the dogs so their instinct is to run. Praying Sadie returns.
How sweet of you to highlight Ms. Donna tonight. I’m still praying and hoping that Sadie is found safe and sound and returned home. She truly belongs there, she loves her job and her purpose. I have to come to not liking fireworks any more. My dog is scared of them so her and I stay in the bedroom with the TV turned on whenever we them going off in our area. I had the opportunity to return a dog once to her right full owner because of the chip she had. She was so sweet and loved snuggles & loves. But I was happy to reunited them and the dog was so happy to be back with her owner. I t felt good to do that

Lester, I admit I know very little about pasture management but from viewing I wonder if separating the two bulls as far as possible would be easier. One bull in back pasture and the other in the bull pen. Horses in the front pasture. Even during breeding season the bulls could stay always in their pastures and the ladies brought to them. You know best though 😊
My family and myself has always had hunting dogs, never scared of loud noises but, excited whenever they heard them bc they knew it was "go time" I'm sorry. We know Sadie will b bk home soon

I am soo distressed about Sadie running terrified from the fireworks, and being missing for this long. Of course we are now getting so close to New Years and the gunfire and fireworks will start all over again. I hope she makes it home before that starts so it doesn't make her run further away. If she does make it back to the JL North, I am wondering if you would ask Dr. Cochrane to suggest how to sedate her so you can stay with her securely in the trailer there till it all passes.
Is it worth checking the fences to see if there is any dog hair on it which would indicate her direction of travel? It would take a lot of time though unfortunately- difficult when you have so many responsibilities, particularly as Jami is away.

Lester, I admit I know very little about pasture management but from viewing I wonder if separating the two bulls as far as possible would be easier. One bull in back pasture and the other in the bull pen. Horses in the front pasture. Even during breeding season the bulls could stay always in their pastures and the ladies brought to them. You know best though 😊

My family and myself has always had hunting dogs, never scared of loud noises but, excited whenever they heard them bc they knew it was "go time" I'm sorry. We know Sadie will b bk home soon

I am soo distressed about Sadie running terrified from the fireworks, and being missing for this long. Of course we are now getting so close to New Years and the gunfire and fireworks will start all over again. I hope she makes it home before that starts so it doesn't make her run further away. If she does make it back to the JL North, I am wondering if you would ask Dr. Cochrane to suggest how to sedate her so you can stay with her securely in the trailer there till it all passes.
Is it worth checking the fences to see if there is any dog hair on it which would indicate her direction of travel? It would take a lot of time though unfortunately- difficult when you have so many responsibilities, particularly as Jami is away.
