Something about Tiago's switch mongo push is remarkably satisfying. He's on top of my SOTY list for sure!
Not to mention that everybody MURDERED it in this video: T-Funk got me screaming with that wallie 360, Wes just did one of the most insane trick I could imagine at the Barcelona wave spot and Evan's Crook to 5-0 was something else anyway. I also loved the whole team montage which is actually pretty rare to me. Filming was awesome and the song choices were incontestable in all respects.
Long story short: this video is a masterpiece.

That was indeed unbelievable. Is there a way to make the slide longer? Tons of speed, lot of wax, but then, is there a trick about feet placement or weight distribution? He loses so few speed that it almost looks fake. Congrats to him and other riders!

The whole thing was so refreshing to see, it really made me feel like a full lenght video back in the day, especially the team montage section. Props to Ray and the crew, and of course to the guys skating, you represent the essence of true skateboarding.

If it's that serious in Brazil, I won't diss your culture. But stateside, when AVE won, there were kids literally losing their minds. Skaters pick the soty, so whoever wins should be celebrated either way. But at the same time, it shouldn't be that serious. It wasn't that serious for dudes my age coming up and I can't understand why it is now.

I just realised the DC team must be one of best teams out there, if not the best. And not just on paper. It's easy to see that the crew went all in for this video. Perfect blend of gnar, creativity and unique spots. So sick to watch! Best thing I've seen in a long while.

If Taigo Wins SOTY I don’t think I could say that it was wrong, but T-Funk definitely deserves it. The amount of footage he stacks is inhuman, the tricks he does are gnarly as hell, and not only that, but he looks like a 12 year old kid but he skates like a grown ass man (and makes it look super good), and he FINALLY went pro.
It's crazy to think of how many riders dc lost and yet their team still goes this hard. I can only image what this video would have been like with Chris Cole, Felipe Gustavo, Mike MO, Mikey Taylor, and nyjah. Either way everyone went hard especially t-funk, evan, wes, and Tiago. Good shit DC.

I like it when people skate switch mongo. It makes it a lot easier to tell what's switch and what's not. Plus I'm a 90s skater and it brings back memories. It use to be totally normal to push (switch) mongo. Most people did it. Hell Koston still does it.
