Not weird at all. FXRs owners try to use modern Dyna parts, and Dynas owner (as me because I have a FXDX) want to use good parts from the past (like the upper fairing) because it fit great on the Dyna. The Dyna is the "child" of the FXR. It is natural to use the father style, and for the son also it is natural to check what your father did because the past help you to build the futur...
Moreover, don't forget that the FXR have (for me only maybe) one of the best frame from 'olds' Harleys (and one of the best motor)... So it is so natural that this bike is doing a come back. And using some good parts on this type of bike is not a waste of money or time, trust me. The 'little bagger style' is a good way to bring back this bike to the new world
"Ridin' thru this world..." Great. Another feature on SOA replica bikes. Some big wheel baggers, please. We're the ones who actually have money to spend at JP Cycles.
There will be plenty of those when we do Sturgis. Born Free has been a chopper show up until this year, when they added the FXR show and we wanted people to be able to check it out. Stay tuned for upcoming videos with the bikes you love. Thanks for watching
That's the great thing about motorcycles. Everyone gets to express their style on so many different platforms. I've learned that for every trend that I like or dislike, there are quality builds among them. Even on bikes that I find unattractive there are often elements of amazing fabrication, or paint work, or sometimes just using bolt on parts that are unique to the style of bike, and that is why I love the shows. Some people like flake, some like tribal, and some just like black for their paint. It's that diversity that keeps things fresh, even if it's been done a million times. Keep watching and check out our Instagram as well. We feature bikes of every kind on their as well.

The bike @0.41 secs into the vidoe is not a true and original fxr, but a custom fxr frame. But still it's cool and different

Can't wait. Most of those paint sets look like they should be in Bass Pro Shops.
