About me:
My work focuses on the human figure. I've given drawing and painting workshops and demos throughout the United States and Europe. I have been making realist drawing and painting tutorials for two years now that I release through my Patreon page. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
i bought a laptop and believe me there is a huge difference between learning from mobile and learning from big screen but the most important thing that matter the most is how much carefully you are listening the lesson 😇
I am ALWAYS very exited when I see a new video from you. Its almost as much entertainment as instruction, and trust me, its very instructional
Thanks!
@@stephenbaumanartworkfor the more conventional line block in how much time should you put into each one? Just want a suggested amount of time. Thanks!
I took The Block in Course and it help me a lot, highly recommened for those who want to improve their drawing.
The class is great.
Excellent artwork! 🥰😍
Excellent. Thanks for posting.
Omg. This is so incredible! 😍
Thank you. Really helpful tips.
This the only channel I have notifications on for
Awesome! I wanna start sketch other things like plants and animals, and structures.
❤
It was interesting how you talked about the block in style, with the shadow and the light.
Same here. Good piece of knowledge.
great video as always!! however what do you mean when we say "accents" in drawings or painting, and what does it mean when sargent say to work from middle out to avoid false accents
Amazing ! Can you please share the reference of your drawing stick ? Thanks !
Well MR Bauman, you sold me. Ill be buying your online course shortly. I cant afford to go to an atelier school, and this is about as close as I can get . Id like to see you do some pastel work in the future , that would be interesting to see. Thanks for the videos , great stuff.
🙏
You look like adam 22, lol good video though i think the block im method is easly the best way to start portaits by big shapes give the general feel, and then the details add depth and believeablity
Amazing!
as always...
your technique,
as you say,
has some application to painting that sounds like a good idea to me,
thank you

Hello Stephen, I’m looking to improve my drawing skills while saving up to attend an atelier someday.
I was looking through your courses and the two that stood out to me are the drawing essentials and the block-I’m course. I’d like to improve my draftsmanship. Which course would be best to start in your opinion? I was wondering if the block-in course covers the same stuff as in the drawing essentials course or vice versa. Any advice?
Tough question. The block in course is really portrait focused. Drawing essentials is more broadly about drawing.
Great approach to a portrait! Very simple yet precise and strong 👏🏼
Thank you! Cheers!

I absolutely love your drawings Stephen and aspire to draw well again, but after suffering a brain injury to the right hemisphere, specifically temporal and parietal lobes, drawing anything representational is very difficult. Its known as "constructional apraxia." Not trying to let it deter me from my passions, but it is more difficult than ever.
That said, oddly enough the "mass drawing" style is easier for me follow then a typical "block-in" with lines. Wish me luck! At the very least, I have Abstract to fall back on. Took up painting which I love and it makes me feel free from my disabilities while creating. Currently reading Kandinsky's "Concerning The Spiritual in Art." fantastic read if you havn't yet.
Cheers!

Which paper do u use? I am having problem on rough surface I can’t get the darkness I want and it’s too grainy
Is that charcoal or graphite?
Love your videos. Happy holidays.
Graphite. Thanks!
Do you clean the blending stump after each use, or do you reuse it on multiple drawings?
Use it over and over. Eventually you have to chuck it out though.
You should keep a sheet of fine sand paper on hand to refresh your blending stumps. They should last a long time for multiple drawings.
@@sentry8992 How do you know when it is time to clean it?
@@ime239 The drawing itself tells you. As you're working on a specific area, the value you're trying to achieve dictates this. Sometimes you may want to leave the stump covered in charcoal or graphite because you can draw mid tone values with the stump. That's a little more advanced technique. You can refresh it on the sandpaper when you want to be more subtle. Or when you're unsure and don't want to add darks in light areas. Generally you should keep it clean. After all, blending stumps are used to unify shadow areas in a drawing. When you're unifying shadow areas, you want them all the same value. So a clean blending stump ensures this. It takes practice. Over time you'll develop a feel for it. I generally swipe it across the sand paper after every unifying passage. You can't go wrong with a clean stump. But you can mistakenly muddy a light area with a saturated blending stump. So err on the side of caution and keep it clean until you gain more experience. Eventually you'll be able to draw with a blending stump. Hope this helps.
Is this going to be added to the Proko course?
Yep
Have you considered selling prints of your work?
Not yet :)
bonjour, j'aimerais bien que vous fassiez des video dans lesquelles vous corriger des dessin de vous élèves, et merci bien.
I will put that on the list 👍
Sir picture me 300 MM smerch ka photo he . Aakash missile ka picture fin Hota he
I like his videos but his painting videos seem too advanced for people like me who are starting to paint.i find mastering technique easier and a simplify pallete much easier.
Well he is a master afterall
@siimkask14 point is being a teacher, many have easier approaches for newbies.
