OPM manga has become so articulate with the plot . It's taking a big turn from staraight up action and comedy to Insightful view on society and the hardships of heroism .
This is the way, One, writes the webcomic. It's also similar to how Mob Spyco 100s' plot escalates.

Technically he could just have Genos catch the guy and he went for the giant monster instead. The big monster obviously is much more dangerous than a purse snatcher.

Mumen Rider is a boss! Still remember that episode when he protects Genos against the sea king. And seeing how he respects others efforts especially when they look up to him makes me respect him even more. This manga is awesome
My favorite Mumen moment was when he bought Saitama some ramen when everyone else was doubting that he beat the Sea King, and sent him his only Thank You letter. He is a true hero and it's awesome to see him inspiring others to become heroes.

I don't know why but I just love the "the hero is a hero because it's the right thing to do" trope. Seeing Devil Yankee trying to be like Mumem Rider just makes me emotional.

@@rawatji6604 What annoys me most is that the 2 big ones would see this story just as a buildup to another story or big fight between the heavy hitters for powerscaling and not as a nice story on itself. Saitama is nice and all but the ridiculous world setting and the side characters struggle in it are not to be overlooked.

The symbolism of the green chains and his addiction to violence in red was super well done. I think this will he the chapter that he finally breaks the cycle thats been building up for 3 seasons
I love how the ending is one of the first real moments of Saitama getting some respect from the people.

based on blast's comments in chapter 166 and genos' comments in chapter 169, we know that saitama, cosmic garou, blast, and their reversal of causality feat scaled to outerversal!
we also know that torako - the cat, and the fly, were the only two creatures who defeated saitama. therefore, it makes perfect sense that torako and the fly are are least "outerversal" or perhaps even "boundless"! 🤯

Saitama really does have a smooth brain. He obviously should take a few dives, increase his odds, bet all of his money on himself, then pretend to have difficult fights. If he develops a good rhythm, he could win when the odds are 50 - 1, then lose when the odds go down, and when he makes enough money, go on a run to glory. He could kill two birds with one stone. He could solve his money problems and fix his reputation by just being playing it smart.
Saitama doesn't actually have money problems he's just cheap from having had money problems in the past. he never actually used the money he got from genos for rent and things like that and he lived rent free for years in that apartment because there was no land lord.
I think he’s too stubborn to do that, he’s a True Hero thick and thin and has proven that at the end of the day his main objective is. To ultimately stop the Bad guys regardless of compensation Even though he wavers from time to time

I don't think he was actually hung up on money, I think it's just his odds messing with his head and the ease with which he could have made a ton of money really fast. Switching companies means paperwork and moving his belongings and just general headache causing stuff. Staying put is easy, so is gambling.

I dont really know enough to articulate it, but just looking at how the hero association treats all its heros like dirt except the top ones... the whole "rival startup that offers way better perks than the primary company but they're eventually gonna be even more corrupt" thing... the messaging about chasing money and rank... idk. Am i crazy?

Seems like the idea of hero associations scheming in the shadows has become a bit of a trope. "My Hero Academia", now "One Punch Man"... Honestly, I'm glad that Yankee was able to stand his ground despite the whole thing being rigged.
