This is awesome thank you for the flip through. I was looking for a flip through of the kindergarten books and this was so helpful I’m ordering for my second oldest to start homeschooling. ♥️
You’re welcome! We just finished it this summer and I really enjoyed both! My son learned a lot and the Bible portion of it is phenomenal. I didn’t end up sticking with the phonics. I did several lessons and then we stopped because he wasn’t ready for it yet. But, I still have it and plan to use it at some point. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
@@blessingball8835 thank you so much for the update. I had not seen the phonics until I saw your video and was wondering how it all worked out. I’m so excited to try it out and am happy to hear that the Bible portion was really good as well! This is our first year with master books and homeschooling so I am looking for all the info I can! Again thank you for the reply and update!
Foundations Phonics is designed to use along with Language Lessons for a Living Education book 1, but it can also be used with Simply K toward the end of the book (week 28?). It would go:
1. Simply K (1 year)
2. Foundations Phonics (½ year)
3. Life Lessons for a Living Education 1 (½ year).
I also have a preschooler this year and am using Simply K & Math K :)

@@blessingste Everything is going alright. We are only going to do Language Arts and Math this year. I have a pretty wild 4 year old :)

Why did you decide to use masterbooks over the good and the beautiful? I'm stuck betweent the two for my kids
Hey, I did Masterbooks because of its Christian components. After finishing that year, I ended up switching to the good and beautiful. They have redone their math and language arts since my son started in school and the good and beautiful math is our favorite. I tried for a year and half through the language arts even with it redone and it just did not suit my son’s learning style.
So what I currently use is good and beautiful math. But, I use 100 sight and sound lessons as well as gentle feast cycle one language arts.
Masterbooks is wonderful but I found the academic level to be way under other curriculums. My son who is in preschool is doing first grade math of Masterbooks and it’s still too easy for him. Or not easy but… like a preschool level.
I should make a video for this. But that’s kind of a summary where I am now.

@@blessingball8835 thank you for your response 😁 I have also heard that masterbooks is very gentle and below grade level but I think that softer approach may be more what we need. Yes, you should definitely do a video on the topic I'd love to hear more! Thanks again!
