I love her dancing, but not sure what the point here really is. Every phrase has a 1, so it's just by convention what foot you step on to that 1. In mambo/NY 2, it's right foot moving forward to left, but that's completely arbitrary based on history. The music tells you the count and the phrase, where to put the feet is all down to convention that's needed for a partner dance so people can be in sync.
