Lol I'm gonna make a modern Bosozoku scooter build with a drift wing on the back. Gonna probably be a 50cc TaoTao. I was gonna save 3k for a Honda Ruckus but hell for 600 I can go just as fast and have just as much fun maybe more! This video makes me happy.
I got this same scooter all but it's black and no air box I'm doing 70 with me on it these scooter are pretty fast just don't know why some people say that's not right show me gps when you got someone riding right beside you you don't need a gps if you going whatever speed you're going and the person beside you going the same speed what's wrong about that.
These are good cheap beginner bikes that you can use as a crash test dummy but even a child can ride one but it gives you the basics of handling and countersteering and simple practice. Corner store runner. Nothing to be considered as a crusier.
I've used mopeds to go 40-50 miles would make longer trips than that too can do a bit more than just go to the corner store...can cruise beach a bit too
My dad has the same scoot, but his came flat black out of the factory, that lil' thing rips at 50mph max XD, awesome lil scoot! His CVT belt cover is named Torque, I believe it XD, it could do a small wheelie out of the factory too!
I actually think someone did put an 80cc engine in. It does get to 40 pretty fast and it has that valve chatter of the 80cc. I just swapped mine for an 80cc and now it has more valve chatter than before. Valves are adjusted properly. On one of these Chanels, a lot of other people are having the same issue. Still Has plenty of power though.

I called the company I purchased it from; they did offer to ship any part needed, but I don't know what the problem is. They want me to try and fix it myself. I think it is just an adjustment. I would not reccommend this bike unless you are good with mechanics. I'm not, so I'm stuck with a bike that may be junk. I also read that these bikes have starting issues and need adjustment even when new. I did ride it around town. Once it gets started, it runs ok and will do about 30mph. It will stall sometimes. I much rather have a Honda Elite scooter from 1987, and spend about the same amount of money, than this brand new toy. I would not buy again.
Speedo goes up to 50. Actual flat surface speed, stock, 25-30. Down hill, maybe 35-40. Ive upgraded mine with as much as i could, and it goes 40 on flat roads. 50 downhill.
You didn't delete the Kickstarter unless you remove the gears too.. all you did was disable your backup starter. Best to keep it anyway. I prefer the Kickstarter. I know I gotta fix something if it won't start after 1-2 kicks. I only use the electric for restarting in traffic.. idling for more than a few minutes isn't good for these.. the cooling fan pulls way more air at running speed.
You can upgrade one and stretch it and fit a 150cc in it but in states where you need to register these, they dont allow you to re-register it as a 150 because it came from thr manufacturer as a 50. So you would have to just keep registering it annually as a 50 with what they call here in NJ a low speed motorcycle designation. Good luck crusing on anything faster than 35mph. You'll get pulled and they can actually confiscate the bike at their discretion.
my atm 50 a1 has 4300 miles on it it will do 45 easy .no problems very low upkeep.change the oil .and gear oil your set .you can go anywhere a car can go if you dont mind the time it takes to get there beleave me a car aint much faster .if you got this thing wide open well it feels that way.any way .
Cool man, I’m thinking about buying a 2019 version from Amazon for about $750. Is there much maintenance involved? Have you had to change the battery or the oil & if so, how hard is it on that scooter?
Have you checked the speedo with a gps app? 3 of us have them and all have inaccurate speedometers. They read 10 mph higher (or more) than actual speed.
Sucks about the frame, that's the main thing I'm worried about failing on mine.. the engine is fairly reliable if you maintain it well. mine overheated due to running lean (I knew it was after pod filter install) piston exploded but I was able to do a full rebuild for $70 and a day of work. Take care of em and they can last.. just be aware of big bumps and potholes.

The Speedos read high on these.. mine is pretty close till 30 but gets pretty far off beyond that.. 50 is really more like 44.. you won't see much more than 40 without transmission mods. Also be aware that most bore kits overstate displacement.. IE, 47mm is often sold as 80 but is really 72. The largest kit you can fit into a qmb139 without modding the case is 90cc. Some of them were also 63cc from the factory but that stopped in 2012. Mine was originally 63 but I upped it to 72 after it overheated and the Piston cracked. It isn't much faster but it gets there quicker than before..
Sunflower Seeds I missed that you asked how.. the 63cc one overheated after I stuck a free flow intake on it.. I knew it was running lean but thought I could ride the 8 miles to my shop before rejetting but it blew up in the last mile. It was totally preventable.
HAHA Cinema I have my license so I could use it. I did ride it temporarily while I had no license tho. If u have no permit I wouldn’t recommend riding because cops will bust u.

I used one to go from Miami to the Everglades and Tampa Bay...I've gone from new Orleans to Florida panhandle on a minibike(35mph max) until I got pulled over for not having turn signals
The weight isn't a big deal.. I don't notice a difference between having a backpack+20 lbs of crap under the seat vs not. I also see 150lb riders maybe getting 2-3mph over a 220lb rider. I removed my box because it was ugly and shitty lol

you keep say fairing delete you know soo funny i fot the same scooter but in silver i got 3340 miles on my same year 2017 back in August of 2017 that when it was made it was worth the money i paid $663.95 altogether from super power sports the name of the company our of Dallas texas it took about a week to get it they are very good scooters even though it might not be a Vespa or Yamaha or honda tao tao scooters are just as good and a lot cheaper then them scooters i can't see spending two grand on a scooter way too much so you still got your green tao tao great video

@@sethwharton80 exhaust, ngk spark plug, racing variator with 5g rollers. Coned cool air intake filter. G&G high flow carb. Gets 38 max on flat land.

And all these atm50s come with faulty speedometers. It says 50 but you're probably only doing 35.
