Yes! We need more of these. But let’s be real you are beautiful on both sides ♥️. I’d love to see you do makeup on an older woman if you have anyone that could model for you! Trust your opinions so much.
Wow! I thought the Dior blush looked nice, but then you put on the Too Faced blush! What a difference! And I was also very surprised at how drastically different the mascaras looked.
I like this video style so much more than the other the dupe videos floating around. You gave some different recommendations than the dupes people use in every video. Thank you!😊
The Loreal powder foundation solved my makeup problem. Everything melted down during my commute to work. Now I leave the house with just skin care and SPF , as soon as I get to work apply my Loreal powder foundation and I'm st for the day
Never had this problem with IL Makiage. I didn’t exactly care for it in the beginning but decided to try it for 30 days with the flawless under eye. Your color is definitely too light for your skin to begin with for IL Makiage. I got so many compliments on my skin, going out every single day, every weekend in outdoor sunshine, with multiple events on each week day. It does last all day, does sit in wrinkles or crease in my crows feet & leaves my skin very soft & moisturized afterwards. It still is not my favorite as I don’t use any foundation normally. I prefer spackle & then a tinted moisturizer on my 55 year old skin.
I bought the Dior blush way before it became trendy and it is the best blush I have ever used. I don't have to wear too much. It changes colour on it's own. I mean the shade after some minutes becomes like when you get your first kiss and your cheeks become so romantically pink and healthy. Maybe the one you got was faulty. I used to love Charlotte Tilbury's products. When she started they were beautiful. Really luxurious old fashioned makeup that made you look like a starlet. After some time she changed everything. She lost her originality. Her products just don't work. I still have some of her original makeup and I keep them like gold. One thing I never liked was the magic cream. To me it feels like Nivea which I don't like.
I agree I use the Dior blush on a daily basis! I thought the Dior blush looked great on her right away! She started talking about how it’s so lack luster yet it was super obvious and pretty on her! She has to go back into the too faced blush to get the amount of color she got in one application of Dior… can’t say I agree with most of this video but I guess to each their own
I did too. I think the "magic " of the Dior blush is that it is not super pigmented; that there is just that flush. The other side did show a line of blush where the Dior side did not.
My goodness I was confused too when it got popular again and I remember it blowing up on here when I was in high school 10 years ago! Now to see its even farther back than that 😂😂😂
Great video!!! I definitely think some influencers have gone overboard with recommending certain products that are mediocre at best. Thank you for this amazing video that speaks to common sense and better products!
I like the Il Makiage makeup and concealer very much. Doesn’t irritate my skin and they did an amazingly good job of matching my skin tone. Pretty happy with it.
I think using a huge fluffy brush is why you’re getting no payoff from the Dior blush. You used a smaller dense brush with the other one, maybe try it with the Dior next time.
I have been on all sides of the makeup consumer spectrum I think, non-influenced before beauty youtube existed, after and not able to afford high end, and then now able to afford whatever I want. In 2019 I cut my collection down from the alex drawers to an acrylic organizer on my desk. I would say currently its about 30% higher end and 70% drugstore still. I’ve tried ALOT, and what I’ve seen is that makeup at the end of the day is just so personal and it all depends on how specific you are with your products. Many times I’ve bought high end viral products and been very disappointed and saw that I already had something that I liked better. I stopped buying into the “best product ever to exist for the week” but still pick up things here and there that I know I will enjoy.
The Elf mascara I just tried after seeing your recommendation and I thought it was awful!!! At the end of the day, it flaked and transferred all over my eyes! The Lash Sensational is excellent…I agree it is a beautiful mascara!
The Maybelline mascara is by far, my favorite mascara I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t clump, or get flakey throughout the day. My lashes are volumized, but still look fluffy, and it stays put all day. I’m going to have to give some of the these other products a try, especially the blush. I’ve been in the market for a pretty blush. I hope they have some good shades for warmer undertones.
I appreciate with your take on what vital make-up is not worth my money, vs. make-up dupes or similar products that are cheaper (most of them) and better instead. I’m waiting to finish my L’Oréal Telescopic and Lash Paradise mascaras or 3 months after I opened them, to finally use that Elf mascara. I heard that that Elf Roller mascara is a better dupe of Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara. That L’Oréal powder foundation is fantastic!
Ngl that dior blush looks absolutely amazing on you. It's hard to put into words - it just seems to have something that the other blush (which is still very beautiful) lacks. As much as I hate the hype a $40 blush is getting, hand on heart, it looks phenomenal. I absolutely get where you're coming from but it is coming across just gorgeous on screen.
Totally agree on the Telescopic mascara, so disappointed after seeing so much hype. I was just looking for something to wear under some of my favorite liquid foundations to give it a bit more glow.. I think the Lumi glotion will be perfect under my favorites!
Giiiiirrrrrrrl, I went and got the Maybelline mascara. And, it is ON POINT. My new favorite mascara. It gives me amazing length, and feels light and feathery, does NOT crumble. Thank you!!!!
I keep trying to tell a friend of mine that just because it's an expensive product doesn't necessarily mean it is way better. I often use drugstore products because I can't afford high end/high dollar ones.
I don’t mean to rain on your parade but the spf is nearly nothing because of the way foundation is applied so thinly. There’s information about this, but basically you should use a sunscreen under your makeup if you want protection. I personally love korean sunscreens as they don’t have a cast or mess up my makeup and have different ones for your skin type. That foundation is great though.
I agree with you about the L'Oréal mascara. The OG Telescopic mascara has been my Go-To for YEARSSSSSS. The new one is AWFUL. The wand is horrible. I couldn't even get past that to even try the new formula. Thanks for the suggestions on the other products because I will definitely be on a hunt for a new Go-To!
The OG Telescopic is my favorite as well, and I feel like it never gets mentioned anywhere. And Loreal's OG lash primer annihilates all other formulas I have used as well.
I tried IL MAKIAGE and really loved the first bottle so I ordered another one and I just hate it. I don’t know if they changed the formula or what, but it sits on my skin terribly now. I will have to try the Revlon.
I use a L’Oréal mascara right now it’s a white primer and then the mascara on top. It works beautifully but I would definitely like to try the maybelline!
Honeyy! and any1 looking for an affordable drugstore eyebrow try LA Girl Shady slim and Wet and Wild ultimate brow just as comparable to Anastasia and Patrick Ta, how has it not become viral is surprising
I AGREE you on that IL MAKIAGE....I did not like it at all!! It was the wrong color & it was too thick. I have been using COLORSTAY for years. I need to get the new formula.
Great review, but to be honest, both sides look similar in the video. Not sure if it's the lighting or resolution, but if you watch it back, I don't think you can really see 'patchiness' or 'pores' so I will have to take your word for it (which is good enough for me).
The dior blush changes with time. I once got ready for work in the morning, thinking it was too light, so I applied more and more. By the time I got to work, I had extremely pigmented cheeks.
Thank you for the review on Il Makiage! I ordered this after seeing ads on its ability to hide fine lines and wrinkles. Not worth the time and effort to return. I even tried to get a different color and it still didn’t look like it was promised. Was so disappointed that it didn’t work at all.
I just saw that loreal lumi true match so on so on (long name) last night at Target it was more than you found it for and I almost bought it, I'll go find it at a cheaper place now that you tried my exact shade!
No way! I didn't know they came out with a cool toned shade......I definitely need to go find it. Their regular one is so orange on me. Thank you for the heads up!
I just found at Marshall's Japonesque blush No. 3, clearance for 3.00. Wow! It was so lovely. I went online and couldn't find it except on ebay for 79.99! What? Must be discontinued, but really beautiful. I tried their Velvet Touch powder which is also very nice.
L’Oreal Lumi Glotion plus True Match Tinted Serum has become my go to combo. Just stunning. I have no opinion on Il Makiage foundation, as I’ve never tried it, but I’m left wondering if your shade which appears way too light for you is contributing to its patchy appearance.

I would have to disagree with your assessment of the Il Makiage foundation. I have found the Il Makiage foundation absolutely perfect for me. It feels light on my skin, very easy to apply and build on, and their online questionnaire enabled me to order the perfect match for my skin tone.
I so wanted to love the Il Makiage, but while the shade was a perfect match, there was a pink undertone that made my face look flushed all the time. Not in a good way! It also didn’t seem to wear well at all. I’m kind of in between Clinique Even Better foundation and L ‘Oreal true match. May try the Revlon though. Still looking for my perfect mate lol
