The police association put out an all forces memo stating that member's of the public are allowed to take pictures of anything they want in a public place this includes buildings and or police officers once a digital image video or photograph has been taken it is then the property of the person who took said image or images the police have no powers to demand you delete any footage and no powers to seize any equipment without a court order. Warn the tyrant's that any violations of your rights WILL result in a claim for said violations.

Back in 1968 when I joined the police most tutor bobbies were in their fifties. They had seen the carnage of a world war and just wanted to do their job to the best of their ability and did it with a large dose of common sense. This new generation of graduate apprenticeship constables all think they are going to make Chief Super by the time they're 40 and have no common sense at all. Any police training scheme that has twice as many modules on diversity and ethnicity than common law is doomed.

Female police officer Victoria Witinall was, for the worst part patronising, intimidating and generally unprofessional in her conduct with Koleeberks, she didn't grasp the legal concept of public photography in it's entirety, and through her poor choice of words, comments, remarks and opinions, told Koleeberks that he was engaged in very suspicious and potential unlawful activity, namely raising terrorism which was a serious allegation for her to make. PC Witinall pre-judged Koleeberks without even conducting a proper and thorough investigation, if that's what she honestly and reasonably believed at the time. I was dumbfounded and shocked at some of the comments PC Witinall made towards Koleeberks and it's no wonder the police have built up a bad reputation over the years with the people in their communities; instead of trying to regain faith, trust and respect back with the public, they are continuing to burn their own bridges, separating themselves further and further away from the very people they are meant to serve and protect.
