- Been meaning to make this ever since the game came out but I've been holding back on editing because I wanted some clips from the DLCs. Couldn't wait for Ignis's DLC to come out though, but I did use Prompto's!

Even with all the cuts and rewrites, I still loved XV. Whats sad is just knowing how much potential was really there but in the end killed by a deadline. :/

I'd say FFXV is the best FF games i've ever played
Have I never seen a GMV so freaking perfect with the tone, the lyrics, the scenes, the transitions... Just wow. How every single lyric connects to what's happening in the scene. Not only that, but many fail to see that the fact that Lunafreya is not in the actual game that much is intentional, the idea of her romance with Noctis to be a summer-child romance that never could happen again, and even when they try to be together, they just find themselves trying to remembrance a child romance again, and with the lyrics "caught in a thought of that time", is just plain perfect.

You have a point but I have one too. If that was the case they could have developed this better since it would show scenes of her away from noctis and would be really more powerfull since we could feel her death instead of just stay thinking about how sexy ardyn was.
So I just started playing ffxv and I didn’t realize how much emotion it would bring out of me and when I saw this song in my recommendations I watched it and felt even more sad that it ended 😔
Im the same I never played a game that made me emotional or made an impact on me but game really changed me in ways I can’t even explain years later

Probably my favourite FFXV video. Amazing atmosphere, it hurts the same way as the whole finale of the game - sad, but beautifully, and touchingly sad.
I'd say that Final Fantasy XV is a tragedy more than anything. Yeah, it has a somewhat happy ending, but that "happy ending" comes at an enormous cost. Ravus betrays Ardyn, then gets turned into a daemon, pleading for Noctis to end his suffering. Lunafreya gets murdered and Noctis suffers through the whole game. First Regis, then Luna, then Prompto and so on. It's still a fantastic game though.

This was the best piece i've seen, you can do it again with Ignis' DLC now it has so many nice and emotional clips...with the same song. it's perfect.
After listening to the song originally, this was one of the first things that came to mind. Thank you so much for making this..... Now I need to go cry for the next few days.
Thank you so much for this edit, it shows exactly what I loved about the game, all the potential it had, even though I cannot say it's game a love playing a lot just because of how frustrated I feel with every replay of just HOW MUCH MORE it could have been!!! and it's not that I wanted a multigame series like VII and all its spin-offs or XIII and I'm not sure how many sequels
it's just.. UGHR! it feels like it was ALL there! and then cut out for deadlines or marketing or finance god only knows what
Luna was dealt a sucky hand! not even a DLC? dude I wished they did not announce XV done with Ardyn's episode, I would have waited and gotten it all!
I hope that at some anniversary they get swayed and cook us up a version where we could fuck all the astrals up and ruin their prophecies ... THAT DLC would be worth gold
since time travel is already a thing of a way, it would be cool to get the Kingsglaive movie setting around too
but that's just me
