You are so fortunate to have a daughter who cares about you like she does. Family is a rare thing and I do envy your love for each other. I have set up a go fund me for myself to try and be able to achieve vanlife at 60. It felt really uncomfortable at first, and it hasn’t had any donations, but I decided I would try and ask for help without feeling ashamed. People who care about you want to be able to do something and show support for a wonderful couple. If you feel like you want to continue vanlife and you need some support, then I think if your community of fellow van life folks wants to help, then give them the blessing of being able to help you!

We are Dawn. The only two things on my mind were my washbag and charging cable for my watch. I am happy now. Pat thinks I am a bit mad, but then she has always thought that.

Hi Pat and Trevor this is Mary from the US just here tio say take the good days cause they mean so much after all the drama, don't they. We had the same thing happen to us back in November last yr. So we missed all the holidays in the US. Like we have Thanksgiving here and we were going to our granddaughter house we had to cancel our trip. I had broken bones not life threatening but super painful and we couldn't travel. We do have a trip coming up soon so we are so excited. Anyway you will have good days to celebrate and you will still have some bad days to come. Just feel them and let them happen and try to move forward. God bless you both.😊

Do not underestimate what you " give" to others via your videos etc. I know that for your generation( in particular) it " goes against the grain" a bit ....to ask for / accept help from others....but for the younger folk it is just the " normal/ modern way" to ensure that those who deserve it - can be given support! It is not begging! You were not at fault in any way for the collission....n most folk just want t see you " up n running" again - as soon as you feel able...n not have t wait or go without! ❤

Usually someone suggests that others donate to your crowdfunding page for some reason. For you it would be on the lines of donating to you so you can buy another camper van and return to the life you had before or just to help you out however I think a crowdfunding page puts an obligation on you to show what you are doing with the money you raise and you will be posting in public whatever you decide to do. It’s in public and I am guessing you value your privacy.
Not quite sure I understand that, but I wouldn't mind making it public what we used the money on. Having said that we haven't decided to do crowd funding.
I know what you mean about people sending money. Niel the campsite warden has a link for buy him a coffee or rasha some treats. Its down to the individual if they want to donate. Its a nice way some people like to send a little something for you both vlogging especially with what has happened this last week. If you did set it up dont put your bank details down. Please have Tracy set up a Go Fund Me for you because any money people give you through youtube, youtube takes a big chunk of it, but if people donate to go fund me, then you get the money. You have to realize people want to help you to get your next van and help you out and you should, just appreciate that people care and want to help you.

Hubby and I really think you should accept the generosity of people on your channel. You could do with extra funds to supplement your insurance payout and replacement of things you have lost Pat and Trevor. Any money left over could be donated to either the ambulance service or Hospital you were in. Definitely let Tracy help you set it up. Its not charity, its kindness, people want to help you. We understand how you both would feel about it though. X We have only recently found you and loved you from the first vlog. Hubby is from Midlands ( originally) ( Kidderminster/ Wolverhampton) and he loves listening to you and watching as you both. We are probably 10 -15 years behind you in age and are planning on touring ourselves ( Around Australia). Hubby has been here since he was 10. He took me to see where he lived and grew up in 2012. I loved it so much. We have a 4wd and Camper. We have been tenters all our life. But now have a combination caravan on bottom and tent at the top. If you want one set up then anyone can do it. Adventure Van Freddie did one when they needed a new engine for their van too. I really think you should do one, even if it's just enough to help you get solar and the gas system fitted again when you get another van. I really think it's something you should do, or get someone to do for you.

Hard times are events that we all experience so having a chance to help your fellow man without strings attached makes you feel better because it is given through a filter of our creators love. No expectations. Having your legs (independence)chopped off at any age (figure of speech) is very foundation-ally unsettling to say the least. Nobody wants to feel that ungrounded. Maybe we won't need financial help, the insurance Co might pay us a decent sum, and we are earning more money from TH-cam because the channel is growing, so people are helping us without realising it. There could be practical ways people can help with advice, or buying my book or a print of my drawings, that way I feel like I have earned it.

My friend got scammed - she went to see one at a house and left £5000 deposit, when she went back to collect and pay the balance there was no motorhome and the people in the house didn’t know anything about it ( apparently )… just please please be careful xxx

Do not underestimate what you " give" to others via your videos etc. I know that for your generation( in particular) it " goes against the grain" a bit ....to ask for / accept help from others....but for the younger folk it is just the " normal/ modern way" to ensure that those who deserve it - can be given support! Usually someone suggests that others donate to your crowdfunding page for some reason. For you it would be on the lines of donating to you so you can buy another camper van and return to the life you had before or just to help you out however I think a crowdfunding page puts an obligation on you to show what you are doing with the money you raise and you will be posting in public whatever you decide to do. It’s in public and I am guessing you value your privacy.
Not quite sure I understand that, but I wouldn't mind making it public what we used the money on. Having said that we haven't decided to do crowd funding.
I know what you mean about people sending money. Niel the campsite warden has a link for buy him a coffee or rasha some treats. Its down to the individual if they want to donate. Its a nice way some people like to send a little something for you both vlogging especially with what has happened this last week. If you did set it up dont put your bank details down. Think most people use paypal. You both look a lot better today xx😊

Hubby and I really think you should accept the generosity of people on your channel. You could do with extra funds to supplement your insurance payout and replacement of things you have lost Pat and Trevor. Any money left over could be donated to either the ambulance service or Hospital you were in. Definitely let Tracy help you set it up. Its not charity, its kindness, people want to help you. We understand how you both would feel about it though. X
We have only recently found you and loved you from the first vlog. Hubby is from Midlands ( originally) ( Kidderminster/ Wolverhampton) and he loves listening to you and watching as you both.
We are probably 10 -15 years behind you in age and are planning on touring ourselves ( Around Australia). Hubby has been here since he was 10. He took me to see where he lived and grew up in 2012. I loved it so much.
We have a 4wd and Camper. We have been tenters all our life. But now have a combination caravan on bottom and tent at the top.
We hope you both will be back on the road in no time and you continue to get stronger and back to full health.

Somebody set up a Crowd funding page for Stephen when he needed the new parts for the van last year, and he got more than enough.
If you want one set up then anyone can do it. Adventure Van Freddie did one when they needed a new engine for their van too.
I really think you should do one, even if it's just enough to help you get solar and the gas system fitted again when you get another van.

Aww it’s nice to see you are feeling better,gosh them spuds I had forgot about those glad they survived and you were able to taste them, I’m so pleased you got your washbag back Trevor I was wondering about that, I’m a bit like you well in the sense for me it’s mainly when staying somewhere with family/friends always have to take my own toothpaste even if they have some I could use, no has to be my own, similar to you with your Razor and shaving gel, mind you sometimes our own things are better aren’t they, with the crowd funding thing, I’m mixed with that myself, yes a great thing to do at certain times with certain events for people to donate if they wish to, but I wouldn’t be keen if was say in position you guys are in setting one up, when Tracey was talking about it I was agreeing with her way of thinking like a form of begging, but then people have their own views on it, and probably think we are weird for thinking they way we do but I’m very much on the same page as you all, don’t get me wrong it’s nice of people to mention about it as a thought as they are wanting to help out and thinking of you with getting a new van in the future lots of love xx❤❤

Many, many people feel it to be somewhat empowering to listen to their heartstrings by helping their fellow man/woman when they hear about some unexpected tragedy befalling them. Although strangers we are well and truly united by our humanity. Hard times are events that we all experience so having a chance to help your fellow man without strings attached makes you feel better because it is given through a filter of our creators love. No expectations. Having your legs (independence)chopped off at any age (figure of speech) is very foundation-ally unsettling to say the least. Nobody wants to feel that ungrounded. You’ll get your feet back under ya as time goes on. First things first. Feel better. Yalls love will send you through. Believe in yourselves ability to master your world.

Hi Gillian. Thank you for your comment. You see you see it from a different point of view to us. Maybe we won't need financial help, the insurance Co might pay us a decent sum, and we are earning more money from TH-cam because the channel is growing, so people are helping us without realising it.
There could be practical ways people can help with advice, or buying my book or a print of my drawings, that way I feel like I have earned it.

My friend got scammed - she went to see one at a house and left £5000 deposit, when she went back to collect and pay the balance there was no motorhome and the people in the house didn’t know anything about it ( apparently )… just please please be careful xxx

I’m a fuddyduddy and proud of it! Too many “flashes in the pan” in this world with little caring and even less substance. I too feel that a Go Fund Me page is a great idea. It isn’t begging…it’s just explaining what happened and allows people to help one another in their hour of need. It’s a beautiful thing when people support one another. Please consider it. I think many on here would like to help you two get back in the road for more adventures.
