I have not had the opportunity to use it, but after many reviews I can say that it is a very cool and successful system. It just makes me wonder if this type of system will kill the magic of Dart and the need for players to count which is very important in this game. Because of this steel dart might become a bit of an electronic dart 😥 which might not be quite so fascinating anymore. The biggest benefit of this device for me is that you can see where the darts are hitting in which hot or cold zones, which can make training easier. I myself would love to use this system for this.
Great points. It could make people lazier for counting but also it can help those who really struggle and give them more confidence. It’s a great bit of kit though!
Looking to add this to my board. I already pay for the subscription and hand key in my scores to play with others. This will make it a smoother process.
Just recently got mine in the post amazing bit of kit and works flawless from my experience over the past week or so, my box did come severely damaged tho which was quite upsetting other then that amazing bit of kit would recommend too anyone in the market for one!
I have not tried it myself but in principle as the omni is magnetic to the edge of your board it should be fine but best check with customer services if unsure. I haven't checked with how the poles stick out if it touches the omni ring or not!
Well at 450 quid they can keep hold of it for now 👍 That's a bit much for a system and you've got subscription costs for darts counter aswell. I suppose its typical target, their darts are over 100 so any sophisticated equipment would cost 4x as much 😂
@dartshopper yes I know, I stated that. But you would think that paying that much for an item it would come with a free ultimate account with an activation code 🤷 But the item itself is very expensive, especially when you consider it against the elysian darts.
As the legs come out it could do though you will no longer be able to shut your cabinet unless you detach the omni which is possible as it’s held magnetically…
There is actually a metal surround on the shot bandit duo I’ve not checked others but it’s covered with a plastic outer. It still gets some magnetic traction to hold in place just not as strong. However a surround will hold it in place between the board but be aware of the weight difference of the omni compared to say the corona. If it doesn’t feel tight enough between the surround and board it could come lose and get damaged.
thanks for showing this product great that you can play against everyone online who has such a system can you place this system on a mobile dart stand? kind regards
provided there is space between surround and board for the omni to attach it should work. the omni just slots in much like the corona light does but the legs are a little thicker.
I’ve had issues with ones I’ve used in the past where they can’t differentiate between well grouped darts, which is kinda the point of darts. If I have to keep track of my own score anyway in case I have to correct what the computer has calculated I do not see the point of this. Quite the opposite Part of darts is learning to count, subtract, multiply etc to get the checkout you want. If you have a system to do it for you, you’re going to be useless when you don’t have that system. I get that if you’re a casual player that may not bother you, but this is a big lot of spend for a casual player to lay out
It’s really simple to assemble. Legs, power unit power lead pretty much! And that’s quite cheap considering scolia was around £800 to buy outright originally.
Im getting a light flickering problem on my omni juat now had it 2 weeks and its been perfect but now just a slight flicker of the light pretty anoying ive contact target to see what they say was ever since the update to dc it started doing this anyone else had this problem
I have this same issue and so do others in the Facebook dartscouner community. I have been asked to send my processor unit and psu back to them for a replacement.
Hi Guys! Does anyone else have the problem, that the Omni disconnects in irregular intervals. So when I turn it on, the Omni blinks green and then after a few mintues, it is static green. Also during a game, the Omni disconnected and connected again after 10 minutes. Is there a problem with my wifi?
@ get lots more miss reads on round the clock and unlike in a 501 game you can change a miss read by pressing the throw, entering the correct score and then removing your darts you cannot do this on round the clock. It doesn’t accept your amended score. I’ve sent them a couple of messages and they haven’t even had the courtesy to even acknowledge .
It's a counting system not a board cam. Same as Scolia the cameras are for the counting technology. you need a separate cam to show your board and targets system is called the virt
Should think so as it’s magnetically attached to the board and fits between the board and the surround. Maybe snug but should fit depending on how tight the surround is!
Im having doubts, omni or scolia.. omni is cheaper.. on the scolia you can play tournements? How is that with the omni? Anyone who can take away my doubts?
I believe that dartscounter are updating to allow tournaments also. The scolia has been established longer so naturally has more features but if the omni is popular the team has the resources to develop and expand the product. I personally am really enjoying the solo play on the omni and it’s been really accurate for me!
No it's OK the subscription is only to use the app not the omni scorer... the fact that you can't use the omni scorer without using the app is completely inconsequential 😂😂😂
mine was shipped by Dartshopper this Monday. Can't await to hold it in hands!!!
Enjoy!

Would love to add one of these to my home setup! Wish the shipping to Canada didn't make it cost-prohibitive though.
Just copped one off you guys can’t wait
Enjoy!
I have had mine 3 week and i love it .. couple of miss scores but out of 60 online game i will take that
That’s not bad at all!
Looking to add this to my board. I already pay for the subscription and hand key in my scores to play with others. This will make it a smoother process.
Yes it will for sure!

Already on order!
Does it work with the Winmau Vertex Dartbord Stand ?
I have not tried it myself but in principle as the omni is magnetic to the edge of your board it should be fine but best check with customer services if unsure. I haven't checked with how the poles stick out if it touches the omni ring or not!
Thanks for the video mate, i was wondering if you could couple the virt camera with the omni system, looks like i will have to spend money ^^
Yes I can. Dart counter has a side bar for smart devices so you can connect your omni and virt together!
Can you use that with the Winmau Blade 6 Triple Core??
yes
did the omni dart auto counter already launch? like did it released yet?
Yes it launched! Sold very quickly! Back in stock soon
@@dartshopper when did it get launched? and also when are they in stock again any time yet? thnx for the answers
I take it you can use it without a subscription?
Does it give you checkout options?
subscription allows for unlimited games etc. Yes it gives you checkout options too.
@ seriously considering ordering an omni but would it be suitable for a tripod stand setup such as the winmau xtreme 2?
Well at 450 quid they can keep hold of it for now 👍

@@dartshopper and you should not forget Target aquired Dart Counter, so you technically paying for Target...
Does it give all check out options as you play?
I’ll have to check. Had a break over Christmas! 🎅
Any update on weather it does or not?
Yes it does
Can the Omni connect to a personal hotspot?
I’ve not tried it myself. You can try contacting target directly to ask or see if our customer support can advise!
@ much appreciated for replying
Assuming this won't work with the cabinet style dart board ?
As the legs come out it could do though you will no longer be able to shut your cabinet unless you detach the omni which is possible as it’s held magnetically…
Would this work with a Shot Bandit dartboard? The side is not magnetic. Would it just sit in between the board and surround. Will that hold it?

great that you can play against everyone online who has such a system
can you place this system on a mobile dart stand?
kind regards
Yes shouldn’t be an issue it would be just like the corona light. As long as you can get power to the unit it should be fine!
@ thanks for the reply
thanks for the information
kind regards
Can you use it with a stand?
Yes it’s magnetic to the board. Just be sure your central pin is secure as you are adding additional weight to it.
In The USA many leagues use Dart Connect which seems to be similar to Dart Counter. Is there any plans to have The Omni work with Dart Connect?
I don’t think so think it’s exclusively dart connect
Counter sorry
Does this work with Winmau wispa? 😊
provided there is space between surround and board for the omni to attach it should work. the omni just slots in much like the corona light does but the legs are a little thicker.
what is the diameter needed to install it . Can' t find it anywhere :-)
Query with customer services they may be able to tell you. But the arms just attach to the edge of a standard sisal dartboard magnetically.
@dartshopper already bought and installed. 😁🙈. Just love it.
@@stevevinck4452how far from the bull to the side is it?
@Jadenperry1 38-40 cm
You said it was $500 dollars and on the website it is $1000, where can I get the $500 one?
I believe its £450 UK. $579 US. Maybe you are looking at the OMNI & Virt combo?

It’s not for everyone but it’s a great bit of kit and certainly something for the ultimate setup!
The system doesn't struggle with tightly grouped darts.
I’ve become much better at counting since getting a Scolia
Turn off checkout prompts
It’s brilliant regardless of talent
Looks lovely but seemed to be difficult to assemble. Also the initial cost of £449 is very expensive. See how it catches on....

I’ve not encountered this. Are you able to get it closer to your WiFi router to test the connection?
@@dartshopper I don't think so. But I could try it with a Wifi amplifier.
Try and change a mis read while playing round the clock.
What happens? Maybe something to feedback to the target/dartscounter team?

How many space do you need around the dartboard? I am not sure if it will fit in my situation
Do you mean for the legs to attach to the board or how far does it come out/the width across the widest points?
@dartshopper How much space is needed, measured from the center of the bullseye, to properly install the Omni Scoring System?

But if you have omni you still need a cam i dont understand thats why i bought it

I believe to run the power from the mod.
Can't lie dont care about online darts rather go down the boozer and actually socialise not paying like 500 just for it to count for me 😂
subscription? Nope.
I thought the same but the yearly cost isn’t too bad.
