Baby elephants are incredibly adorable and adorable. Some of them are quite playful and curious, exploring their surroundings under the general observation of their mothers and the rest of their elephant herd. Seeing them interact with their environment can be a heartwarming experience.
That old female acted like a human, self centred jealous and possessive, towards the calf, when she knocked down the kid. Good that mother showed up. All children should have a mother like her.
Watching animals living their lives is so absorbing, but there's something extra about elephants in particular. I get seriously hooked. Thank you for posting. This baby is over a year old now and hopefully doing very well! ❤

That is not Khanyisa. Those are Asian elephants. Khanyisa is an African elephant. These elephants are in some type of small zoo or something. Khanyisa lives on a huge game reserve in South Africa, the Kapama Game Reserve. You can find her on the HERD channel (Hoedspruitt Elephant Rehabilitation and Development) as well as the Jabulani channel.

It is always a pleasure watching these gentle giants together as a family. But this place where they are is definitely not good for them. They need to be in their territories and habitats where they have tall trees and more vegetation. Why are they confined to this environment which is not theirs? It is sad and very tragic. These magnificent creatures deserve to be in the natural wilderness.
She is lovely and the care of the herd is great. But we say that because they are in a zoo. In the wild, if they trampled our crops we would obliterate them.
It is not true. In Africa, where there are elephants, the people there are working with animal protection groups to deal with elephants attacking their crops without slaughtering them. It is wrong to say that all people living with elephants in the wild will 'obliterate' them. In some cases yes, violence is used, but not all. People who live alongside wild animals are also human you know? They have emotions and feel empathy for other animals just like the rest of us.
These are Asian Elephants which in the Philippines are used in clearing land. There is a sanctuary called Eleflix and you can see the results of this labor they are used for. At least in this zoo they are not domesticated and chained for hard labor damaging their bodies.
Since I began watching these baby elephant's interacting with there moms and there herds I'm completely addicted ❤ 😂
