One announcement still needed: "Please let the wheelchair user off first". This is to be used when a bus is turned short and everyone is directed to the following bus which is waiting behind. What normally happens is all the disgruntled passengers rush to the bus behind and the first driver lowers the wheelchair ramp just as the second bus pulls away. This has happened to me more than once, usually when its raining.
That's a good point actually, though I personally would open the front doors for people to start alighting whilst at the same time putting the ramp out
Slight PTSD when hearing "The destination has changed". Due to traffic, the 307 would always terminate at New Barnet Sainsbury's... as I used to travel to Barnet and Southgate College (Barnet Campus) from 2015-2019. Nice coverage anyway Peter.
Cheers, I use the 'Being held to regulate the service' often, maybe 2 or 3 times each journey, and the 'Bus terminates' and 'driver changeover' at the appropriate times. I don't have a need for the others unless we go on diversion.
@@BristolRE yeah. I’ve heard 2 announcements. Driver change and service regulation. The ibus display shows something like “Driver Change - Jul 21” can’t remember the other one, but it doesn’t scroll.
The new service regulation and driver change and other new re-done announcements that have been updated in the past few months sounds horrible to me. It's just pointless and unnecessary rewording, the classics are miles better and professional. Even the monitor has become more useless, before it used to display the actual announcement text, now it displays unhelpful texts like "driver change".
You know the announcement you actually said pointless I heard it before driver's do actually use it bus about to move please hold on I did hear very often but some driver's on the 317 and also the 217 use it

Thanks, and yes, always a pain, especially when any curtailment will leave either end of the route suffering.
Great video Peter Gives those interested an insight to what goes on in the hotseat
Cheers
Indeed
I guess the bus ready to depart might be useful after a driver change or being held at a bus stop for a long time
I've never actually used it.
Sounds like control were giving you bingo numbers.... 😂
Lol
Great video - thank you 👍🏼
Thanks
lovly vid bristle

Nice video Peter
Thanks
Great video - how often do you use these announcements when in service?

On a bus once, the driver played the 'bus is ready to depart' recording every time we left a stop.
That's madness! I've never used it yet.
@@BristolRE It was very annoying!
I have also seen a video of the 'seats upstairs' recording on a single decker bus!
@@chandlerbstransport422 I can believe that!
@@chandlerbstransport422 I've done that, lol
Good video Peter
Cheers
I notice the new updates on the ibus display show the date it has changed?! Jul 21 to be exact!
Do they? I didn't see that.

@@dom_dom2011 Fair enough, might have to look out for that!
Nice video keep it up
Cheers
@@BristolRE you are welcome
How does the next stop ones work??
Automatically, so I'm guessing some kind of gps tracking or sensor on the bus stops
Blimey Peter you virtually live in Enfield Island Village
🤣. Unfortunately that's where the 121 goes, Lol
Nice video Peter, you can delete the existing videos about the i bus announcements back in 2019.
Thanks, I'll leave them up as different announcements
Buses are fitted with CCTV Cameras 2:48
Yes
Was that fun playing tg ibus anncouments
Not especially, lol
All fascinating stuff I think I need a new one stop your baby screaming as the driver needs to concentrate please keep your baby quiet. 👍
Absolutely!
That’s a lot of stand time mate
Once in a while you get lucky

Yes, agree, like 'The driver has been told..........' is very bad, 'The driver has been instructed.......' was much more professional

Odd, I've never used it. I travel on buses a lot and have never heard it used. I guess some do use it, though I can't see the point of it.
Ibus Old Announcement Bus destination better
