You know, I’ve “heard” people get so angry that they start to do “angry babbling”, but this is the first time I’ve seen this written out in text.

The voice actors in this story were incredible. Lily’s confused angry noises, and Kate’s emotion and ferocity in calling lily out prove it further
I think there's only one voice actor doing a fantastic job with multiple parts.
You should get your facts right. If Jorge didn't tell Lily that he has a fiance, Lily is not liable for any payments. She is legally not cheating anybody. Jorge has to, that is a different story.
Kate should never tell her mother about guess she's dating either since she blabs it to the mother.

You can't be British if you are a born and bred New Yorker. Unless you become a citizen. And generally, bred means raised from birth to present date.
Okay, I doubt it's anything more than a general plot hole these stories sometimes fall into, but I have a scenario for you, from my very own family.
Y'see, while I am American, my husband is British. Born in a suburb that's technically part of London (the one with all the historical hysterical). When we married, we lived for the first four and a half years of our marriage in the USA. And we had two children during that time. Now, we then moved to the UK, and had our youngest in the UK. So, all three of our kids have dual citizenship -- it's a bit of a dance, and we made a few embassy visits just to get things sorted. Anyways, our son and older daughter are both British and American, but can claim to be "born and bred" in the States, even if they've been living elsewhere for parts of that. Our youngest can also claim both nationalities but was "born and bred" in the UK.
But I would put it down to one of those things. Like Daniel Radcliffe's version of Harry Potter having blue eyes while the books's one has green eyes. Accept it, or don't. Hope that doesn't sound dismissive.
@nancyjay790 your 2 eldest are not British. Your youngest is not American. Doesn't matter if they have dual citizenship where you were physically born denotes your nationality

Technically it would impossible for Jorge's fiancee to make Lily pay any compensation let alone for an entire wedding especially if she had no idea he was in a relationship or engaged to begin with. Adultery is not considered a crime in Canada as the "Alienation of Affection" laws that would govern such a lawsuit were abolished in 1792. Jorge's fiancee could legally sue Jorge for the wedding costs but not Lily. The only way Lily would be responsible for any portion of the debt is if she helps Jorge pay it off but legally it is NOT her debt or obligation.
