I don't think that Under 19 is popular. Its ratings were low. It didn't have any article, topic that became hot on Naver, Nate, Pann... Having Kai and Jhope as guests do not make the show popular because what determines a show's popularity is rating. For example: Produce series don't have Kai, Jhope or any top idols as guests but they are still hyped af. That why 1the9 achievements were so low right from the beginning. MBK is just one of the reason.
The show was never popular but the group had a chance to hit big because their visuals were being praised by knets; it went wrong the moment MBC decided that Pocketdol/MBK should be the ones to manage them when they couldn't even properly manage UNB nor UNI.T before.
It makes me kind of happy that I discovered all of them through Under Nineteen, and got to see how they grew and all the troubles they went through. I got to see the forming of this group. I got to ult stan this group. It’s sad seeing they are disbanding soon, but I will never regret ult stanning them ever. I hope their own companies will treat them better, and I wish them all the best
