Ryo Bakura and Yugi Mutou swapping roles would be an interesting scenario. Ryo is main character material
Poor Yugi being burdened with the spirit of the Millinieum Pendant would be hard to watch though
Though I have some questions for this timeline.
What on earth did Ryo wish for when he solved the puzzle(maybe for his dead mom and sister back? Though I don't know if resurrection is in the puzzle's abilities.)
Who's soul does Pegasus take to motivate Ryo? I guess his dad's an option but the man's never around.
How does the spirit react to possessing a boy who looks like the man he hates more than anything?
Is Ryo closer friends with anyone in the main cast or is he still somewhat of a loner?
And finally... Joey and Tristan would totally suffer a penalty game at the hands of the spirit, right? It destroyed anyone who tormented Ryo and I can see it doing the same for Yugi

Solomon Muto in his thrillseeking meets Shadi, wanting to see if he is capable of passing whatever test Shadi may have. Impressed by this feat, Shadi allows Solomon to take it for some time, but assures Solomon that he will return for the Ring when his spirit falters.
I would expand on these ideas, but I would need more time to properly flesh out this story.

Imagine Serenity Wheeler finding the milenium pazzle ! Making a wish to be with her big brother and having friends . Then dueling in the Duelist kingdom. She wants the price money to save Joey's eyesight ! ! Seto Kaiba gets obsessed with her ! Trying to beat her after he lost by her ! Kaiba has feelings (love/hate) for her because of the dueling skills.

I think Solomon would keep using the exodia deck because he wouldn't be stupid enough to let weevil throw it away. And if he beat kaiba he would still have his blue eyes as his Trump card.
What if Marik was the protagonist? But instead of him completing the puzzle he's just a more mentally stable and better person in general, so the story follows him as he beats the Pharaoh like he intended to without the interference of Yami Marik

After he defeats a villain in the shadow game he takes their youth. leaving the villains too old to be a threat and keeping himself spry enough to continue his adventures.

Like how would a second duel with Pegasus go without the mind Shuffle or when the baccarat field Yugi and his friends in their duel Monster cards and Yami how to save them or even what would happen when Yami use the Seal of orichalcos lock the door and Yugi took his place? Because of this fact, the two would have their own body instead of sharing one.

Rebecca would still go after Yugi but Vivian might go after Yami. Also, who would Tea want to be with Yugi or Yami? Because if I remember right Yugi liked Tea but Tea like Yami when it came to love in the show.
