I've recently had my 2nd session by EVOKE in Sheffield and im really happy with it. I was told to leave at least 24 hours before moisturising it. Not to wash it until 4-5 days. Keep out of the sun by wearing a cap. He said i could moisturise it 2 to 3 times daily after 24 hours of treatment. Not cutting my hair until day 5. Same with the gym, leaving till day 5. Should be absolutely fine. When i shave it, it'll be a foil like shaver and when i wash my head that will be cerave for face and the moisturiser with be cerave.

Hello Any inflammation or dryness will usually subside after a couple of weeks. Just take gentle care as you’ve been advised. I would be more inclined to use a face wash rather than a shampoo tho 👍🏼
Hi what about heavy sweating and strong sun a few weeks or months after the SMP? I like to go into a sauna 2 times per week as well as a solarium. Will this affect the pigments? Im still considering to get a SMP but don’t won’t to waste my money if the color just bleaches too quickly. Would be thankful of a quick reply. Cheers 🙏🏽

Hi, quick question about long term aftercare, can you use salicylic acid (BHA) on your scalp after SMP as an exfoliation product, as i use it in my daily skincare routine right now and it really help with removing dead skin cells. I read that AHA acids like glycolic acid should be avoided, does the same apply to salicylic acid? Thanks for any answers
Once your SMP is done correctly it doesn’t get affected by too much but we always like to err on the side of caution… I’d prefer if clients used gentle products on their scalps…

Hi there, just a couple of questions...will wearing a swimming cap (due to it's tightness) have negative affects on SMP, also I do yoga and am wondering if doing head stands is okay?.... and you probably are asked this a lot, but how long after SMP for swimming in the sea is recommended , getting a whole lot of different time spans for this ranging from one week to 30 days...Thanks
Once your SMP is fully healed any activity is fine. Swimming is a different concern because of the chemicals. We often advise 3/4 weeks to be on the safe side but I really believe after 1 week to 10 days you would be absolutely fine.

What if the ink will not stay. I know I put it in deep enough, then I don't wash my hair and keep my scalp dry for 4 days, but as soon once I shower a few times after "the healing period"(even though I don't get much scabbing at all), the ink just washes/flakes off...and the whole process ends up being a waste of time😟. Trying it on myself before clients.

I did the scalp micropigmentation 5days ago.and im using the coconut cream to rub gently on my scalp twice a day.i took the 1st shower in the 5th day.using just a cup not the shower head..and when im finish and wipe my head gently i saw my some scalp flaky and i saw saw some peeling park and the color is start loosing.it makes me depressed.i dont know if this is normal..help me for this
Yes this is fairly normal to see some flaking of the skin and loss of pigment color. I’m guessing you’ve only had your first session? Trust the process and you will see great results if you have chosen a good Artist 👍🏻

If they are making good impressions with a good technique then it should not fade or flake off as it heals. Obviously everyone is different and it’s hard for me to comment from not seeing you or your Artist. I will say that if ever any client of ours was to have any issues we would do everything possible to make it right for them at no extra cost. Clients happiness is the most important thing. I really hope you get some good results.

Sweating is not a problem, the sun you will need to be careful of !

Yes please try to avoid the water contact on your scalp or you may have a green tinge from the chlorine….

Yes some are more cautious than others. Generally most would say protect from the sun to stop the SMP fading to quickly.

Yes after it’s fully healed swimming is fine and will not affect your SMP .
You mentioned cutting hair after day 5? Does that mean on day 5? Also can we use a razor to cut hair on this day?
Yes it’s an approximate.
You can razor cut but I’d suggest to just be gentle as the skin is still healing 👍🏼
