    Robert Smith blowing by defensive backs, looking like he was walking. It always looked like he was thumbing his nose at physics. Played 8 seasons and retired at the top of his game. Proud he was on "my" squad.

      BVW28 3 of the best RBs of all time from a talent standpoint.
      Barry Sanders, Walter Payton and Adrian Peterson.
      And they’ve all played for an NFC North team.

      @Big Reiner They had a great running game but most of those years they a bad qb that kept them from consistently winning, similar to Barry Sanders in Detroit

    I miss watching Robert Smith run. He was sneaky fast. He looked like he was jogging and would just glide past people effortlessly. Wish he would have played for a few more years.

    AP is obviously the best, but it's nice to see players like chester taylor and robert smith that are kinda forgotten. Some good players they were..... I miss those days.

    The 1997 run is the most emotion I've ever seen from Robert Smith after a big play ever
    I swear I saw him spike the ball once after a TD but can't find any video evidence to prove it.

      My all time favorite Minnesota Vikings are Robert smith and Marcus Sherels because they never showboated they handed the ball to the official and walked off the field Like a professional should.

    3:37 I was at that game in SF. AP was banged up and left the game early on so Chester got the work. I was actually a few rows up from where he celebrated.

      I was there too, I got tossed out of the stadium because my nephews brought some alcohol in a water bottle, but I did see Taylor's run and before we got to our seats Williams had already scored
